• Problems sorting AdvancedDataGrid

  I had problems with getting an AdvancedDataGrid to sort my data as I want. From what I read that it must preserve the order of the elements of the original source, apart from the grouping. I just don't see that. The main groups are certainly sorted as they should be, but the Interior elements seem to have their original order, not sorted. I've attached an example I put together that shows what I'm talking about a compact way. Thanks in advance for any help, hopefully I'll just about this the wrong way.

  Well, I didn't get no help here, so I ended up filing a bug. The answer apparently is to sort the dataprovider for Advanced datagrid. This seems to be a clumsy way of doing things, but apparently it works. Here it is:

  The attached VI should accept two numbers, separated by commas, and then use the first number to set a Boolean value in a table. Then the next number must set the corresponding location of the array with the value.

  With the last iTunes update, all my compilations are now classified under V (for various artists), even though at least half of them are not compilations of real and I prefer that they are filed with the main artist.  For example, the last album tribute to George Harrison (George Fest), I have the compilation box checked and individual artists listed for each track.  However, in the artist field album, I put "Harrison, George (Various Artists)" while the album is ranked immediately after my albums of George Harrison.  Now she is mixed with because v that the iTunes update eliminated the ability to sort by album artist.  I'm missing something here, or should I wait for the next update and hope they add this back in?

  iTunes will sort albums separately if the indicator "the Album is a compilation...". "is checked.  Unless you use an iPod Classic or another older iDevice, you can clear this check box and simply use the Album artist tag as you describe.

• iTunes sorts only the new songs from the album artist; Cannot select multiple artists

  I had this problem for awhile now.  Whenever I have add a new song to my library, it will sort as a new artist, even if I already have this artist.  For example, I'll add a new Bayside song to my library, and despite the fact that I already have two albums of Bayside, the new song will sort itself separately from him, leaving me with two Baysides.  The only way to fix it is to add the album artist in both the novel and the stuff I already had.  It's incredibly frustrating, especially since iTunes allow me to select several artists both in the artist's view (although I can select several songs and albums - this seems to be a problem only when the view is the sidebar, as in the views of artist, Genre and composer).

  Help with fixing a problem (preferably both, although) it would be appreciated.

  Using the view songs grab all the tracks by an artist of the album given that you are having problems with and then read the information. Tab sort add set Album artist & artist album, X, click OK, and then return to .   The addresses of some of my groups are sorted alphabetically with letters between the names, for example. all 'A' names under the heading "A." on the other hand, in some of my groups names are simply sorted alphabetically without jumping.  I looked in "Général" in the preferences of groups, but in both cases show the same preferences.  How the groups without breaks would change so that the names of the groups under the appropriate letter?  Thank you.

  There is no setting for it. When you have 20 + members of a group, it automatically separates members by letters of the alphabet. Less than 20 members are sorted without separation.

• Tips for creating a presentation simple iPad

  Hello

  I was wondering what are my options for a document created in InDesign on an iPad? I read up on top of the DPS, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there according to the when it was written and by whom.

  Basically, we do a lot of presentations and tar in my agency, so far, they consisted mainly of boards and printed documents. What they would like to do now is give the presentation at the end of the session on an iPad for later viewing. These presentations are usually being developed until the last minute, so any version of the iPad should be as simple as exporting a file, connect the iPad and pressing a button to download.

  A few questions:

  1. they would like the presentation to appear as an icon on the screen main iPad, as opposed to a document in a standalone player application. Is this possible?

  2. the method of DPS to organize files and synchronization with servers online seems not ideal in my case. Do I have reason to say that there is still no available local sideloading functionality?

  3. the 'stack' and 'article' method of sorting the separated files seems very difficult to handle in my case, there is a way to have just a long document (for a simple presentation and printing) and then have it scroll sideways like a magazine on the iPad?

  4 lack of all this, have other options?

  To enjoy your own icon, would go through the process of building a custom DPS Viewer and send your application to Apple. It usually takes 5 to 20 days to accepted him. Therefore, no last minute change.

  Instead of on paper long you create an Indesign book file, where each Indesign document represents a DPS article. You can print your presentation in a single click. In DP, you set your items by horizontal scanning only.

• AdvancedDataGrid/GroupingCollection and sorting

  I swear to you that this should be easy, but... any help greatly appreciated.
  
  I lie an advanced collection ArrayCollection to a GroupingCollection and then are linking the GroupingCollection to a data grid. I use a function to sort the ArrayCollection collection. Receive check the collection ArrayCollection variable debugging, it IS set. However, the results in the AdvancedDataGrid not displayed as sorted by the name as it appears in the genre.

  You need to put empGC.refresh (); After the call to sortEmps().

  empGC is a collection, just like the the collection ArrayCollection that contains your data.
  All collections must be refreshed after a filter or sort.

  Don't be too frustrated with Flex. There is a bit of a learning curve, but eventually, you'll see there are a lot of commonalities in how to proceed with the objects.

• iTunes problem, some artists are sort separately

  So I have been rebuilding my music library, (got a new computer and all my music is lost on the former) so I imported all my CDs. Some of the music is sorted funky. When I sort by albums, it's all good, but when I sort by artist some artists are all split!

  For example, on the left side where it lists all the artists, I like 6 Micheal Jacksons! Some are same album but divided into two or three artists!

  Now, I checked and double-checked and rechecked than all the info from the album is the same thing... that's a promise. The thing that continues to be I click on 'get info' then click on the "Sort" tab and I see that is where are some differences, but in space ' sort as "letters are gray and when I try to enter something different it activates automatically the return!

  I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

  It should also note that I have tuneup and I don't know if it's the cause of all my problems.

  If iTunes displays multiple instances of an artist or an album then generally what works is to select all the associated tracks and use read the information to add say an end X for each of the areas of the slopes have in common:

  • For an album. Album, Album artist, and artist (if the artist is the same for all tracks) *
  • For an artist; Album artist (and the artist unless there are comments/featured artists listed which should not be changed)

  Apply the change which merges things together, then remove the excess characters. Occasionally, it can help to close and reopen iTunes between two renaming operations.

  * If the titles must be synchronized to a non - iOS device, there should be a common artist or the album must be defined as a Compilation.

  Use the view of songs and display fields, Album, genre, Album, Album artist, genre artist Album, artist and genre artist side by side to see you whether or not it is necessary to change the artist and if sorting values could be the cause of additional problems. See grouping in albums, titles for help if necessary.

  I use an ADG, fills the data (arraycollection) returned from the database. I am generating a counter for each record returned from the java side and showing this counter in ADGcolumn. I want to just sort that particular column.

  When I debug the application, I get the number of meter correctly, but when its display in ADG, sorting is missing. When I click on the header coloum, then only its display in ascending order, I need appear in ascending order without clicking on the column header.

  Can someone help me with this problem?

  The situation is simple, I have a PrintAdvancedDataGrid I use to print a list of products. Before printing, the software asks the user how the list should be sorted (name, product, etc.). Then, the software has sort the data grid before you print it.

  Before 10-1 when the B2 FB3 M3 comes out I had normal columnheaders with new version beta there is suddenly a multi sort functions added to the advanced data grid columnheaders!
  
  How can I remove those... I have a lot of columns and now is the return of headertext as nuts!

• Importing data (6 areas) from Excel to the address book of Tb. 6 all appear in the Contacts pane, but 3 of them are in the process of work and do not show up to above therefore impossible to sort.

  I try to import the file Excel Tbird address book data (6 fields). All the 6 fields appear in the Contacts pane, but only 3 of them appear in my list where I can sort them. I tried to add all the options for display (CAT name, organizations, etc.), but there is no data in one of these. The other 3 fields appear for each entry in the Contacts pane, but they appear below the blue bar that says 'work '. It is a zip code and the name of the city that I want to be able to sort the whole by address list.

  I guess that you export your Excel file to a comma separated file.
  Try to include the column names until the last necessary one, in the same order and spelled as an address book.
  When you export mark the part you want to use column incl. names
  Open your .csv in a texteditor, y at - it no additional space, strange letters, commas, etc.

  The best way to get all the names is to export an address book to a csv file

• I have rearranged the bookmarks (by keywords) and I lost my manual sorting original, crucial who left their jobs?

  I create clusters of related bookmarks within each file, each set out from separations. For the first time, I have sort by key words, and when I went to manually sort name / my site, all the work was gone. It is all sorted by alpha now. I guess that cannot be undone, but I hold no hope.

  Have you tried organize > Cancel in the Manager of bookmarks (library)?

  If you did not close Firefox again then see if you can use "organize > Cancel ' in the Bookmark Manager (Bookmarks > show all bookmarks) to cancel this action and restore the bookmark (s).
  Hold the button is the first of three buttons next to the back and forward buttons on the toolbar in the library (Bookmark Manager).
  If it does not work so that you can restore bookmarks from a JSON backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

  • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore

  This will replace all current bookmarks and you lose the favorites that have been added since the backup was created.

• Sorting photos of Mac

  Returning from a trip abroad with 3 other members of the family, I imported shots of all 4 cameras in Photos.

  They are NOT like an album separate for each camera (as in the days of 'old'), but only by day of the month.

  BUT NOT within the day: many times 2 of my photos from iPhoto, dismantled the seconds, find themselves separated by 10-20 + pictures of the other cameras.  If there is a lot of pictures in each day (as there is in my favorites), it is incredibly long to identify similar delete.

  QUESTION: Can I re - sort pictures of travel by the camera used?  Can if not this, I sort by time-of-day better?

  We cannot see you, but generally, this is caused by the settings of different times on different cameras

  You cannot change the sorting - Photos is only by date/time with the most recent pictures down

  You can make a smart album for each camera (menu, file == > new smart album - criteria camera is [select from the drop-down list] and if one or more adjustments of seed for correct settings, you can choose for your travel photos and use the image menu == > set time control to correct)
