Sound strange tone high during recording in Adobe Audition

Hi all, I hope someone can help with this problem. When I record in Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Audition I hear this strange resonance to some high tones. See here for example: Dropbox - ringtone testing.wav

I don't seem to get this noise when using other programs, or when you test the microphone directly with sound card (i.e. no 3rd party software program) so I don't think it's a hardware problem.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful!

Thank you, Simon

I solved the problem mainly by using a preamp, instead of just using the sound card of the computer with phantom power for condenser microphone.

Also you can try to change the sampling frequency, I found 48 k eliminated some strange noises, more than 44.1 k. And ensure that all effects are off at the hearing and in the settings of your sound card. Turn off noise reduction in your sound card too, if she has this setting.

  • Cannot hear sound on Adobe Audition CS5.5

Hi all, I am having trouble with Adobe Audition CS5.5.

The first time I ran it, it said that of the inputs and outputs audio frequencies were not the same, so the hearing could not save.

I fixed that and I do not know I did because everything I try to save is saved in fact, the problem is that I can't control what I record (with the 'I' switch IT) and I can't hear anything when I try to play something I recorded. I don't know that my sound card works because I can hear all the sounds of windows and if I export an mp3 file with hearing and then I try to open it with windows, I can hear this medication I recorded... There is my system info:

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you, bye!

    EDIT:

I forgot, my Audio hardware settings are the following:

The default entry: entry line (Realtek High Definition Audio)

Output by default: Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio)

Master clock: output: Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio)

    Latency: 200ms

    Sampling freq: 44100 Hz

This is almost certainly the root of your problem. Whenever Windows plays a sound, it resets the audio device to its own ridiculous parameters and does not return them later. As it says in the installation instructions very clearly - turn Windows all sounds OFF firmly.

You must then set the default rate for the audio device is the same as the rate you want to use in Audition, in the control panel of machine. This should not be necessary, but if you do not, you are still likely to end up with the resampling BONE your output and you really don't want to what is happening, because the operating system is crap at it.

Record monitoring, it is something better left of your audio device using its loop mode (assuming he has a)-ideally do not by hearing, because you will end by with latency delays.

  • Recording guitar in Adobe Audition

    Hi all!

First of all, sorry for my bad English, I'm a french guy.

I would like my guitar in Adobe Audition redord; I bought a preamplifier, so I plug my guitar with a connector for the preamplifier, and my preamplifier is connected to my computer.

How can I do in Adobe Autition to recognize my guitar and save it?

    Thank you for answer

With luck, if you open hearing and go in Edit/Audio Hardware Setup, you should find the drivers for your pre amp and preamp itself on the appropriate lists.  Select them, and then when you press the Red record button (and select the settings you want) you should record.

You will certainly find that you open a form any software mixer outside the hearing to adjust sound levels appropriate for recording.

If it is not a simple as that, we will need more information from you, including the brand/model of preamp, hearing version, operating system you are using, etc. to offer more help.

Your English writing perfect is, of course better than my french!

  • Change sound 5.1 with Adobe Audition 3.0 PP CS4 timeline?

    Hi all!

I use PP CS4 and Audition 3.0 - both installed correctly, both active.

I have a 5.1 mix on a timeline that I must make a small modification to, I click right on the sound file and of course the option 'Edit in Audition' is available and I click on the option.  Adobe Audition 3.0 opens as expected and it opens with 6 separate audio files loaded into the Panel files (Centre, Front left, front right, left Surround, right Surround and LFE). So far so good!!!

Then, using Audition, I do any sound changes in individual files and have everything just as I want to.  That's where I'm confused - according to what I infer from the PP CS4 help, all I have to do is 'Save' files in the hearing and changes will be displayed automatically in the chronology PP.  But for me and maybe I am doing something wrong, it does not work.  I save files to Audition, but when I go back to PP (always open, never closed) and play the timeline it plays the original sound, without any change, I did.

Maybe I'm missing just a little, maybe the sound editing 5.1 in Audition is not possible?  I don't know, but I wish someone could help me to understand.  I've been playing with this thing for a few days with no results, please help.

Thank you, in advance, to anyone who responds!

Multi-track editing in hearing is a little different. You'll need to export a multi-track file and replace your asset in PrPro. If you had just a mono or stereo stream and were not in Multi-track of the hearing mode, simple recording would be nice.

    Good luck

  • where are the audio files stored during recording as a project?

Where are the audio files stored during recording as a project. The project opens fine on my computer, but when I move to another computer I have missing audio files.

They are stored in their own folder in the project folder:

So if you want to move it to another computer, you must copy the project folder, not only of the project folder.

  • Interrupted the enclosure or usb-6229 during recording and performance data is now not viewable

    Hello

I've been recording in Labview SignalExpress 2.5 using the usb-6229 BNC recorder. I was recording on 16 channels with a sampling frequency of 1 kHz over a period of at least 7 hours, while you can imagine a lot of data has been collected. Unfortunately, the power of the recorder was interrupted during recording (but not the PC running Signal Express) and although all the tdms files are present, they will not playback. When I drag the log on in the display area of data, I get the following error message:

' The selected journal is ready for posting. You must wait until the log has finished recording to view it".

If I right click on the journal before sliding above, I get a list of options that is "making visible journal." If I select this, nothing happens at all. If I then right click again, the 'Make visible log' option disappeared. Drag the log on after this step still does not work.

I recorded other newspapers of more than 7 hours that read perfectly well.

If the log files be constantly updated during recording, so that if there is a failure of Rubio, the data are not lost?

The most important thing first, but that is something so that I can play these logs back or are they gone for good? The .tdms file size match those of other file formats that play OK and have the same duration 7hr for registration.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

  • Audio lags during recording.

    Hello

I use an audio file for the lip sync, which is great, did a great job and playback is smooth. The real problem I have is the record. The audio is played slowly and blaming the video, which is also minced. During recording, I reach the end of the file audio in the Control Panel Assembly, while it remains "reads" to halfway. It is almost imposible to time and place keyboard triggers or otherwise manipulate when recording.  Playback is fine however.

What is going on? Am I missing something?

Please keep in mind that I save set to 1 x and hardware may not be enough. I have 64 GB of RAM, 8GB graphic card, multicore processor and SSD. Everything about this machine works butter smooth and things are in finger pressure.

    Please notify.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the screenshot. We have a shift of rate of sample between input and output devices. Click settings and see if you can pass the Realtek to 48 k. If you can't do this, try changing the master clock to your Logitech microphone entry.

    Hi camillaa53869254,

You must have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Acrobat Reader DC Learn & Support) to use acrobat's online services. You can also use this service online at https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf.

Monitoring is done through your audio device, no hearing. When you updated your PC, playback of the audio device settings would have been reset. One of them includes the follow-up of the input jack, and that's what you need to restore. Since we do not know which audio device you use, it's all that we can tell you, except that if it is a device internal, you will need to open the volume control options and he change it. It depends on the good OS versions...

  • Edit in Adobe Audition - not replaced

    Hello!

I have a stand up interview, whose sound is recorded with the video from a dslr t5 built in mic on the camera. The audio should be cleaned up a bit.

I recently discovered on the 'Edit in Adobe Audition' command (Edit > Adit in Adobe Audition > Clip) when I select the video file in the project Panel. It extracts the audio for me to play in Adobe Audition. I can see the first one to put the audio clip, but doesn't replace the original sound of the clip of film T5 with my changes in hearing. So everything that I have made in the hearing, the T5 is still with its original source.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

    Adobe 2015.3 CC

Mac OX X EL Capitan 10.11.5

    Thank you!

Hearing is always a destructive Editor, which means that it changes constantly from the original.  Premiere Pro (like any good editing software) is a not- destructive of the editor, which means that it only reads the original media, and if you want to save your changes, you must export, thus creating a new file.

So luckily no... There is no way for PP to replace the original sound without creating a new file.

To get what you want here (what we all need here), hearing must also be a non-destructive Editor, is to work with metadata and asking the user to export a new file to save the changes.  The ideal scene would be to send the clip or sequence of PP at the hearing, without making new audio files.  Hearing would read the original media, like the PP and save all it's labor in the form of metadata, which can PP then read and addresses when moving back for further work.  Only for export would be audio changes in hearing be 'cooked' in a new file.  (Or when creating Audio Previews, audio effects that cannot be processed in real time).

It's really the only way that hearing can be truly integrated as part of the suite.  Without this workflow metadata, we will not overcome the current limitations of a destructive editor in what should be a workflow purely not destructive from end to end.

So please, tell Adobe you want Audition to become a non-destructive Editor, forcing the user to export (either from hearing directly or PP later) for changes 'stick '.

  • Adobe Audition help

Are there effects on Adobe Audition which will make the song or instrumental play with much better quality?

I'm going to guess that when you say static, you hear a constant hissing sound (what we would call 'noise').

If that's the case then the process of noise reduction under the effects/reduction of the noise and the restoration is probably what you are after.  He can't find a sample of only static with no music to get a sample of noise however.  I suggest also that you do not use the default values - rather down the fader to about 20% noise reduction and the amount of reduction up to 10 or 15 dB.  Then make the effect 3 or 4 times, increasing the size of the FFT (in the Advanced menu) and get a noise new printing between each pass.

However, I must say that this should be a fallback for emergency only - you are better to do some testing to find what part of your string of recording is causing static electricity and repair or replace that.

If this isn't the sound of hissing and emrecs is right on the cutting/distortion, then frankly there is not much you can do about it.

  • Why the spectral display so long to cool down in a long file in Adobe Audition CC?

I have windows 7 with a processor i7 16GB memory with ASIO4 v2 installed and all windows sounds muted. Size of the buffer is 64 and sample rate is 44100. ASIO buffer is 104 samples. Spectral display is resolution 512.  When I load a large audio file into Adobe Audition CC and change something in spectral view, several times I'll wait a few minutes before the spectral view refreshes. All power settings are maximally. Data transfer rate is 5.9, but everything else is 7.8 for the performance scores. Performance Watch Windows Task Manager all the hearts of the processor works but can be maximally or to work harder than others. Usually the CPU shows that I'm at 12 to 14 percent when this happens. When the percentage of processor goes down, my spectral sight returns. Adobe is still at the top of the list of process roughly 0 to CPU for other programs during editing. Is it possible to speed up or maybe that something is not going?

My initial hunch without having investigated further is that this behavior is expected.  When seen spectral updates cached data that it is rendered to each view and the size of the FFT, to extract the actual sample for the visible waveform data each others time as you adjust the display.  Since the hearing is not to load a file of 7 GB in RAM, it must find and read data from the disk.  I don't think that it is a process that lends itself to distribute across multiple CPU cores, if I'm wrong, and I would not be surprised that the wider zoom beaches would be slightly faster.

Yet several MINUTES seems excessive, and I am certainly not see something like that on my system.  Is your hard drive SSD or a flat disk of spinning? Any chance you can save a screenshot?
