Source code jumps around re-opening page?

This is a common problem with view on the Source Code of Dreamwver CS4?

In an effort to make the code read nice and neat, as all the world I try to dash and nest my code. For example:

< div >

< ul >

< li > a < /li >

< li > a < /li >

< li > a < /li >

< /ul >

< / div >

But, upon registration of a file and then reopen them later, I noticed that in places, the file does not my expected spaced nested provision that that is the code jumps autour on line and I lose my dash spacing neat. For example:

< div >

< ul >

< li > a < /li >

< li > a < /li >

< li > a < /li >

< /ul >

< / div >

I tried to set my preferences > code format > tab size 10 to produce a greater indenting that has improved the problem somewhat but not fixed.

Others must have experienced this frustrating problem.

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem, set the other preferences to give me complete control over the page?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Phil,

    1. what kind of mouse do you use? Wired or wireless?
    2. is it a laptop or desktop?
3 when was the last time it was working fine?

I suggest that you check if the mouse settings are correct.

You can read the following article and check.

Change the settings of the mouse

    Method 2:

Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

  • Jump to foot of page-Boing!

I finally got my site up direct so that you guys know what the hell I'm chatting about. I have two questions, and I'll post them in two different threads. My site is sbrownarchitects.com.

Please note the foot on my site. Although regular Nock on my model it seems to jump around on each page. I want the bottom of the page which will be formed by my images. How can I fix it.

I posted my code below. Is there an easier way to do this? I received an answer in a previous thread on the use of the "Advanced" Editor, but I can't seem to find it. And the help is not help.

    Thanks again!

I'm sorry to say, I think you've lost the spirit of this 3-column, liquid layout.  You have the main content in #sidebars and nothing in the #mainContent division.  It has become a confused mess that bares little resemblance to the original.  So I took the liberty of rewriting your code to clean up things, makes things a little easier to understand and solve your problem of footer.  When you use containers floated or supervised, you must use a div of compensation at the end of the #mainContent otherwise everything gets whacked out of position.

View the page source to see the CSS & HTML code.  Feel free to use as a new starting point by copying and pasting the code into a new blank document.

  • How can I see the source code of a html page?

In previous versions, it was possible to read the source code on an html page in the "View" menu It is no longer there. How to read code now?

    Use one of them:

    • Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
    • Tools > Web Developer > Source of the Page (Ctrl + U)
    • Right-click on a web page to open the shortcut menu and select the Source of the Page
  • Open Source Code

My client just asked if I use the open source coding.  Most of my sites are basic HTML sites developed in Dreamweaver.

I'm not sure 100% means that what open source coding.  I looked around the internet but can't seem to understand what it is and if a site based in DW is considered "open source code".

    Any help is appreciated.

I see two possible situations here. One possibility is that your client is just as much in the dark on open source as you, and it is just using a word in fashion to make sure that he is dealing with someone who is "with him. On the other hand, it could be that he is not sure whether to trust you.

If this is the first case, you can simply say that the code you use does not come from a closed source, owner. You work to common standards, open.

If it's the latter case, it wants to ensure that commitment, it will not in the end upward with code that no other developer will understand or easily customize if he decides on the part of company with you.

What puts you in a position of weakness is your own lack of understanding of open source - and, certainly, it is not a concept that is easy to describe in a few words. If you had a better understanding of open source (test http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source), you could ask with confidence for more details on what your customer is interested. It is quite possible he was trying to find out if you're heavily into Drupal, jQuery or one other project open source. Projects open source have a large development community. So, if things do not work, the customer knows that he will probably find someone else for the position. If you write custom code, switch to another developer is more complicated.

  • Find source codes and page rankings

I just got the new Firefox updated, and I would like to know how to find two things in this browser:
    (1) the source codes for any site I visit, and
    (2) the ranking of the page for any site I visit,

Or they are not available on Firefox?
    Roger

The view menu has the Source of the Page. If you see the orange Firefox button, then press the Alt key to temporarily show the menu bar, you can access the source. It is also on the context menu, and there is a keyboard shortcut.

For the classification of the page, you hear Google PageRank? I think that you need to install the Google toolbar to see that.

  • Delete a source code control RoboHelp project, without opening HR

    Hello

I use HR 11 and Visual Studio source code control.

I need to take an archived version of my HR project and open it to the changes that are not in the current project.

When I unpack my archive, it automatically links to the source code control and downloads the latest version of the project.

It supersedes the current source code control project and even change the mapping of the source control path must match the project archives.

So what I need to be able to do, is open my archives project without source code control interface. Is there a file I can edit linking the project to source code control? I can't even open the project in HR because it distracts the mapping of source control.

    Thank you.

It is fairly easy to do. See Rick's excellent post: October 2004 - ban witchcraft do not forget to remove the CPD file however.

  • Robo HTML 9 won't open our Source code control project after initial startup.

We have a project under version control that we use for ever, since 2003 or more and for many versions of HR.  Now that we have upgraded to 9, this project will open the first time under version control and operate normally.  Once you close the project, and the attempt to reopen the start screen, it opens just great, but not in version control.  The files are always set to read-only.  I made this several times and the only way I can work on my project under version control is to act as I open a project from scratch, then overwrite my files the with the files from the server.  It wouldn't be so bad but I'm 3000 miles the server and 13 hops over a slow firewall on the other end.  While this was never a problem in the past, it's a big problem because it takes hours for all files to download and overwrite my files the.

This only happens with RH9 and Version 3.1 control.  RH8 works without problem.  So, I don't know if it's a starter RH9 problem or a problem of Source control.  Maybe I'll make a similar thread HR.  I'll wait to see if I receive useful tours of it first.

It's very strange, I RH9 open for several days because I was afraid to close the project for this reason and yesterday I published for the month so heat is less now but today it has opened with no source code control.  If I go to control code Source, the only thing I can choose is updates to the source code control project.  That's how he got into source control after conversion in RH9.

We have another project that seems to open normally control version, but we can only save in HTML topics.  No responses to this topic after a week.

    Got any ideas?

I tried the names of different file, different paths, etc.

    Thank you

    DV

OK, here's a weird one, I used add it to version control icon in the menu bar, he already knew the path so I thought I'm the only person who was edit these files for the last few days so I clicked on add to version control.  He added. I closed and reopeded and still the same files were checked.  Closed, checked in the whole, and then reopened and he works at SourceControl.  Strange that after opening of source control and closing to reopen and tell him to put the project into source control.  Obviously some indicator is not is defined somewhere.  It might help other people having problems opening source control files.

  • Trial InDesign, Page jumps around.

I recently got a new iMac, 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  Updated 8 years Tiger 10.4.11.

Also used InDesign 2.0.  Everythings is so different, but then in computer science, 8 years is ancient history!

Anyway, try Trial Version of CS 5.5.  Imports of old files well, but I have a problem with the page jump around

a lot when I use the mouse to select, especially when you use the "text" tool  What is a function of the trial, something

This occurs only with CS 5.5, something to do with the parameter/preferences, or other somethings.  It's very frustrating,

and I wouldn't buy CS 5.5 and there not work properly.

    Thank you, Don
