Space card Media blackBerry Smartphones

So I got a memory card to increase the storage capacity of my BB Curve titanium.  I bought a 8 GB card that didn't work when I tried to format it so I bought another one (other brand) to another bank and this format very well.  However, after it formatted the total and free space available says 3.3 GB.  Where's the other 4.7 GB?

Please note that the maximum media card space is defined by your operating system on the BlackBerry (options > on).

So compare your OS on the Board and see what your max media card size.

  • Images of Media card on blackBerry Smartphones

I wonder why did I have so many unknown/white files as well as my photos that I transferred to my press card and I can't delete them.  These are empty files with control over them.  Anyone know how to get rid of them?

OK, I was able to remove unwanted empty files without pulling on the battery.  The DELETE key on the keyboard does the job; which I didn't use previously, namely I was always using the menu to try to find the delete option.  Thank you!

    Help please?

I try to move videos, etc in the vid folder via drag / move, says that I need 460 MB of free space.  I check my memory via the options card memory; I have 7.3 GB available.

I also used the Blackberry Media Sync, same thing.

Strange thing, it's the media card is not accessible from the storm (cannot display files) or the PC.

    Thank you

How can I move media to the map, everything goes to the device memory?

You can always remove the sd card and put it in the computer if you have the adapter.

also, if you have bluetooth, it is a quick way to transfer small files, takes too long with large!

  • Card memory blackBerry Smartphones can help with problem memory curve?

I had (apparently common on this forum) problems with memory on my blackberry curve 8310.  I use Missing Sync MarkSpace software to synchronize with my macbook.  The software works very well, but he has to use too much memory.  I added a memory card hoping that it would help this problem... but the map does not appear to be used.  I have no more than two or three rings and a few photos.  I think that the software and my contacts/calendar to take up space.  I can't load this kind of applications or data on the card?  How? Is it possible to increase the memory that works?

No, you cannot load or run the press card applications.

I put my memory took out the battery and restarted my fone back in... And it worked

    Hello!

Good find! And thanks for posting!

What happened in your case, it's the same with all computer peripherals. Because electricity passes through constantly, the connectors between the SD card and the BB becomes corroded over time with oxidation and the accumulation of 'stuff '. This 'trick' can hinder the good connection between the two. Remove and reinsert the card basically scrapes connectors against each other, scraping this kind of 'stuff' and allowing a good connection again. The common term for this is "re-seats".

    See you soon!

  • Compatibility of memory cards from blackBerry Smartphones and stereo Question

Is compatible with the Curve 8310 MicroSDHC card?  All of the documentation I've read mentions that the SD card, not SDHC card.  I don't want to order the wrong.  Also, is there a device out there that would allow me to associate my Blackberry to my car radio so that I could listen to my MP3s on my BB through my vehicle speakers?

Yes and Yes. You have a tape player in your car?

  • Question map new media blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

This may seem silly to some but this is: I just upgraded to the 8900 of the 8100 and I want to get a media card more capacity, as 8 GB.  I currently have 2 GB.  I was wondering how to transfer content from one card to another?  What I have to use the Desktop Manager, or is their another way?  Instructions would be useful as I'm not very well informed when using media cards.

Thanks in advance for the help

The simplest method would be to activate "Mass Storage" on both devices, connect both to your PC USB, then simply drag and drop the files from the old unit to the new.

What I would recommend would be to do the above, but play the old files Media Card on your PC first and you'll have them there have as a backup if necessary - then move them to the new media card.

  • Changing card of blackBerry Smartphones

I want to upgrade the 4 GB MicroSD mounted on my torch with a map of 32 GB, and in the process to transfer the data currently on the smaller map to the new.

Is it as simple as move files from one to the other using the adapter of card SD and my iMac or is there a good way?

    Peter H

Who must work, put the news in the blowtorch, connect in mass storage mode and read the computer. Copy all the files and you should be good

  • Records photo in media blackBerry Smartphones

I created several records for my photos; I clicked "Properties" in the menu and then checked 'hidden '.  I could still see them in the menu of the main image, but now they are gone and I need to recover. Does anyone know how do you it because it doesn't have an option to uncheck hidden in the main menu.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Hidden items are behaving as they should... they hide. To view it, it is not as simple as hiding (otherwise, what would be the point to hide after all...):

    • Homescreen > media > > Explore > (navigate to the folder containing hidden items) > > Show Hidden > (set highlight, but do not select the hidden item) > > properties > uncheck 'Hidden' ICT and save

    Good luck!
