Question map new media blackBerry Smartphones

Hi all

This may seem silly to some but this is: I just upgraded to the 8900 of the 8100 and I want to get a media card more capacity, as 8 GB.  I currently have 2 GB.  I was wondering how to transfer content from one card to another?  What I have to use the Desktop Manager, or is their another way?  Instructions would be useful as I'm not very well informed when using media cards.

Thanks in advance for the help

The simplest method would be to activate "Mass Storage" on both devices, connect both to your PC USB, then simply drag and drop the files from the old unit to the new.

What I would recommend would be to do the above, but play the old files Media Card on your PC first and you'll have them there have as a backup if necessary - then move them to the new media card.

  • Question about AppWorld purchases blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

I am new to Blackberry and AppWorld and I have a small question.

I bought today Tetris. If I never uninstall, or my phone needs to be reflashed, and I need to reinstall, I should still pay for it? Or is the system knows that this device (PIN/IMEI) already bought once and would not need to pay again? Similarly, if this is the case, it would be available to be redownloaded indefinitely, or only for a limited time?

    Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

AppWorld keeps a record of all applications you purchse. To reinstall your applications, please follow this section of the AppWorld user guide:

For more information, registration keys, see this KB:

In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

    1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > > remove
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > > remove
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.
    4. Use the link to user guide AppWorld above for re - install the app - then predict a new activation/registration key

  • Questions of torch for blackBerry Smartphones

UPDATE: I have blackberry maps once again, but he doesn't locate me well that google maps doesn't. I know that my GPS works but not on blackberry maps. Help, please. I thank very you much for your time.

    Hello

I have problems with blackberry maps on my blackberry torch, yesterday I bought at telus

It locate me so I removed it to reinstall, but now it won't let me install when I download the installation program.

I know that my gps doesn't work because google maps can find me.

    Help, please

the gps worked for my phone, it was just the blackberry maps did not work.

If you do not have the blackberry maps icon, and your phone is Canadian (because I know with AT & T you do not get the blackberry icon cards unless you install it somehow, just search on google "How to install blackberry maps on at & t torch" and stuff should appear) then all you need to do is use the usb cable to connect your phone to your computer and install blackberry Device Manager. Then go to 'applications' and scroll to "blackberry maps" and add the checkbox and continue, it must be installed. I wonder if it does for an American telephone, probably not.

I figured out that blackberry maps is zero unless you have incredible signal.

Use google maps. I used it yesterday and today, the new version released is so good, it's an arrow that follows your movements and it is really sensitive.

With the components required to do, this is my first blackberry so I'm not sure, but I know not if you go to:

    OPTIONS of-> device-> location settings

You should have ' GPS DATA SOURCE: ' GPS DEVICE.

and "LOCATION SERVICES: location ON '"

except that I don't really know too much.

Hope that somehow remotely helps you. Bad comes to worse just get google maps and use it. Not sure if you are in North America and if you get google maps, but if you do, it is worth your time.

    Cheers.

  • Map memory of blackBerry Smartphones from Storm2 storm

I am replacing my Storm with a Storm2 and understand how to use the desktop software to swap devices.

All applications and all data will go to the new Storm2?

I also want to spend most of my Storm memory card on my Storm2.

    I must:

    (1) put the old, larger memory card in the Storm2, and then make "Switching devices" on the desktop?

    or

    (2) keep the old, larger memory card in the storm, not "switching devices" on the desktop and then replace the memory card in the Storm2 with the higher card of my old storm? Thank you for your help.

In fact, it is immaterial.  You can even make the switch of the device without another card in a phone.  If you just want to move the media card, you can move it at any time without any problems.  (Map of media content is not transferred).

  • Upgrade OS new Verizon blackBerry Smartphones lack BB after official Maps

I've upgraded via DM 122 version no problem except one, namely I have more cards to BB and I don't know what other default applications may be missing.  Someone at - it a list of the default applications that come with a new storm?

My question is how can I get the missing apps on my phone?

    Thank you

Kraut, have you fact the manual (download and install manually) and the upgrade via the upgrade of the web?

If you did the manual upgrade, open Desktop Manager > Application Loader > advanced and make sure that BlackBerry Maps is checked for load.

If not, you will need to explain in detail that how you performed the upgrade.

  • Question of Hotspot Mobile blackBerry Smartphones

    Could someone help me please?

When I chose "Mobile Hotspot" in the management of connections, it allowed me to set up a password. When I select now if a check mark appears in the box and other devices can 'see' my protected WPA Hotspot, but I get a message on the screen saying:

    "Activation required.

' Click on continue to subscribe to a Mobile Hotspot data plan using the browser of your smartphone or on a connected Wi - Fi device.

The only option is 'OK' (non-continuous). If I select OK, then I go back to the connection management screen, with no check mark the box Mobile Hotspot. I'm on Orange UK (APN orangeinternet) data and voice plan.

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Hey Wapking,.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

The Mobile Hotspot feature is an extra data plan that is controlled by your network service provider.  Contact your provider network (Orange UK) to add this feature.

  • New curve blackBerry Smartphones user 9320, I need a little help

9320 curve is my first Smartphone after an old style phone. I managed to understand the basics, texts, Internet access, etc. I need a bit of help with the rest, for example, I tried to download a free app, but get the error message 40721 - without put credentials cached.

    (A) what do I have to register my details somewhere to download (even free) applications, where and how?

    (B) I don't have a Blackberry ID, or more precisely do not know what is it.  How is it useful?

Here are my most immediate questions, and I would appreciate a few basic instructions, where and how to...

    Thank you very much

    Hi Woundenberg

I thing your carrier have not activated BlackBerry data Plan aka BIS on your account. BIS is different from a data plan normal, a normal data plan you will navigate on the internet but will not give access to the BlackBerry application. So I prefer to give you a call to T-Mobile for re - confirm whether or not they had allocated BIS on your account.

When BlackBerry data plans are enabled on your device, and then click Manage connections > Service status > = BlackBerry Internet Service it will be " Mobile network ".

Then call T - Mobile and let us know about your updates.

    2. when I receive messages on both my BB and Hotmail, I delete them on my computer but they always stay on my Blackberry, is there a way to synchronize the accounts so that the Inbox Hotmail and Blackberry inbox are identical?

  • Questions from journalists of blackBerry Smartphones

I am new so bear with me please. Is there a preferred system for loading the images and music from my computer to the Blackberry? It seems to me that I would go on the card rather than the built-in memory. Would I load the card and then install or is there another method?

Do I need additional software to see all the photos and read music?

If I'm listening to a song and the phone rings is it automatically pause the music?

The internal memory on a BB is very small, so you better buy a memory card, then when loading photos and music on which, at your leisure. I do not remember "installation" from the media card when I bought mine; I'm sure that it recognizes.

You don't need additional software to view photos and listen to music.

The music is automatically paused when you receive a phone call.

    I hope this helps!

  • Question of timetable of blackBerry Smartphones?

I don't know if this has been asked before... my mother & I have Curve 8330 with Verizon.  My mother that I was wondering if there was a way to put the calendar as the homepage and not icons or is it visible on a regular basis?  Is this possible or that you just have to see it through the BB menu?

We are both new to the BB world... and I didn't know how to search on here to see if this has been asked before.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lindsay

Excellent question.  Themes allow you to have your calendar as part of the home screen.  Check out this link to a previous thread: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8300&message.id=47775&query.id=52483#...

You can find all sorts of themes; many of them for free.

  • How to install the new BBM blackBerry smartphones

I tried to find a way to install the new BBM 5.0, but can't seem to understand. I am new to the blackberry world (3 days) and I got an old 8703e that is now configured on my line of personal relationships.

So I've updated the software (desktop and blackberry), but it said that my BBM is updated to 4.2.1

I'm on the outskirts of Bell to the Canada and can't do no matter how hard I try. If I go on blackberry Appworld, it cannot be downloaded any other way except by browser, which I don't have, I have only the email and BBM on my Blackberry. Am I stuck without internet for browse and locate this program?

To use install and use BlackBerry Messenger v.5:

    • A data plan from your wireless service provider
    • A smart phone BlackBerry with 64 MB of memory
    • 2.4 MB of memory available smartphone
    • BlackBerry® Device Software v4.5 or later version
  • Question of synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones: there is a problem connecting to BlackBerry App World. Please try again.

First of all, I have never had this problem before when you try to install the apps from the app world.

I am trying to download WhatsApp Messenger through App World by clicking Download, and then by clicking on the button 'Sync '. I'm then prompted with the error "synchronization problem: there is a problem connecting to BlackBerry App World." Please try again. ».

    Screenshot: http://goo.gl/RSx8v

App world tells me on the right side of the page that my machine is connected (which is) via the USB port. I tried the phone turned off, taking the battery for more than a minute to be sure, restart the phone, restart the computer and try again with no luck.

I also tried several browsers, Chrome and Firefox.

I found this page which tells me it could be a firewall issue, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB27184&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&d...

I therefore disabled my firewall and still had no success. This gets really annoying, and my blackberry seems to have stupid questions like this forever.

Anyone got any ideas on a solution possible?

    Thank you.

I tried in IE and it works. Went back to Firefox and Chrome, and it does not work. But the interesting thing is a friend tried his blackberry on my computer and it works fine in Firefox.

EDIT: I found the problem, I deleted the App World Plugin from my computer and reinstalled Firefox and it works. Why it does not detect that I use a plugin obsolete?

    Anyway, problem solved.
