  Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum! I have a laptop Aspire with Photoshop CS5 extended. The computer's hard drive crashed and so I had to get another hard drive! Obviously as the hard drive crashed, I was unable to disable CS5 extended before the crash. I have it charging on the new hard drive and in the meantime bought a desktop computer in which I loaded CS5. Updates have been working fine on the laptop. I tried to update the program on the new computer, but continue to receive error messages. I have read in any problems and think maybe computer laptop harddrive that crashed had CS5 yet on it, as I was unable to turn it off because I didn't know he was going to crash. I am only able to load CS5 on 2 computers and if it is still on the destroyed hard drive so I'm not able to turn it off and so I presume that is why I can not download the updates on my new computer.   I bought the teacher edition and student of CS5 for Mac in November 2010. I bought a new Mac and put the software on my new computer. InDesign, Illustrator, bridge, and Acrobat will open it (and good work to the best of my knowledge). However, Photoshop gives me an error message and does not open:

  In the near future, I want to upgrade CS5 to CS6. But for now, I wish I could use Photoshop I have. I looked in my Plans and products on my Adobe account and the product is. But it's not a download to re-download it. And honestly, I don't remember if I was a physical download or digital download when I initially put the software on my original Mac.

  Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?

  PS - also, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash Catalyst, and Flash are all in my Applications folder. But I think they're just there because I did a try before you buy CS5 Adobe. Would this be the case? When I try to open applications, a box will appear asking for a serial number or an option to start using these applications on an experimental basis. I tried to put my purchase of CS5 serial number just in case it was accurate, and he says that's not a correct serial number. And my research indicates that these applications are not part of the standard package CS5. Are they only in my Applications folder because I used them once on a trial period?

  There are two ways to access the tools hidden in your toolbar in Photoshop:

  • Press and hold down the mouse button on a tool that has hidden tools behind it and a window will appear to the right of you show the other available tools.
  • ALT-click Windows or Option, click on a Mac on a tool to jump out the window that shows the hidden tools available.

  Looks like you don't have the right data into the correct fields when you import the address book.

  When you open the address book and look at one of the contacts info is the e-mail address in the e-mail address field? If this isn't the case, you must obtain the right to import or cross and change them all manually.

  I just bought a new computer game.  The keyboard and mouse work in BIOS.  But when win7 brings me to the first screen for all upward (which requires language and country options) both the keyboard and the mouse both stop working and their lights go out.  The mouse is a Razer Death Adder, who i saw possibly requiring drivers to be installed.  However, the keyboard is a 4000 ergonomic Microsoft natural and I expect that it works.  Can someone please help me get their work.  Any help is appreciated.

But it is still coming up with this error. "Diablo could not correctly initialize your video card using directX" then it tells me to update my directx which I did. check and update my driver for my graphics card and make sure its compatiable which I did and it's. I've been to Blizzard games, and they said that can not help me and I have to go to the manufacturer of the video card.   This game was designed for Windows 95. Of many old games do not work under NT (on XP and Vista) kernel unless you use the emulation such as DOSBox.

  You can try setting the game to run in Windows 98 compatibility mode (click with the right button on the games EXE file, select Properties-> Compatibility tab).
