Specialties

For some reason, my specialties are listed as office and iLife.  I don't have a desktop computer. I have a MacBook Pro, an airport Time Capsule, iPhone 5 c, an Apple TV and iPad and a USB SuperDrive. I know a little about these devices, but I don't know anything about iLife.  I do not understand the process of change of my specialities. Can someone help me change my specialties?

The specialties are a relatively recent addition to ASC. It seems that ANY participation in a particular area triggers the allocation of a specialty badge - it is supposed to indicate "interest" at the beginning. One that appears next to his avatar is supposed to be that of most 'promotion' (small tick under the current badge lines)

I got a badge for ApplePay and he has somehow eclipsed all other specialties for a very long time - until I made a point to TRY to move forward in one in which I had actually "expertise". I do not ApplePay. I don't have an iPhone. I don't have any idea how it got there!

So if my experience is any indication, you should choose another specialty and participate in tasks of promotion so that you 'push' positions to work on "the wire."

    I'm having a hard time finding how to actually start one of these specialties on my profile. Idk where to find

    See the following article:

    Product specialties

    Start a post in a forum, and you are on your way.

  • How to get rid of specialties associated with those profile?

    Just because I have either created, commented or other on individual/topic thread, just do not make me an expert, rather it means that I have an interest. I get the distinction - Apple? I guess there is no way to get rid of the annoying little icons?

    At present, there is no way to get rid of the specialty badge icon. Apparently the PTB, think it's cool, and we're stuck with it for now. It is supposed to encourage new members to join and participate.

  • Change of specialties JRE for an existing project

    Hello

    I created a project that seems to be targeting the 5.0.0 JRE environment, is easy to change this to a previous version of JRE for phones sooner?  I use the standard Eclipse with the installation of the Blackberry Plugin.

    Concerning

    Richard

    It is based on the API, you used in your application.

    If you have already installed another JRE as 4.7 with your eclipse, you can change the version

    Windows-feedback-BlackBerry JDE-installed components

    and change the version 4.7. After that, you simply compile your project and you want to know if you have found an error or not.

    Thank you

  • Question for Hiroto - css user

    I redesigned the css for the Spanish and Portuguese CSA web site.  I modified your css.

    Here's what I came with:

    Re: Style sheet for Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese CSA sites user

    I have two questions:

    (1) I want the 'P' in order to act as 'R' when the window is made narrower.  See this web page.  Make the windows smaller and larger to see 'P' and 'R' in action.

    https://communities.Apple.com/pt/thread/4601

    When I do the narrow window the letter P [issue] is scrolled off the right but the letter R [answer] does not work.

    P's off to the left

    P is visible

    Hello

    Well, it took me some time to investigate the new presentation of 2016-06 of the ASC (Japanese, etc). It's really annoying...

    You can find my current project CSS below. For better maintainablility, I made new CSS file derived from the previous one for 2014-06 format. Section of the DISPLAY OF THE WIRE CONTENT has been significantly redesigned. It may contain useless residues of the previous, because I have not yet cleaned up seriously.

    Moreover, the Q brand in question is placed in a strange way, using the negative zone offset (left:-60px banner), which would be the reason why it behaves well in your settings.

    Relevant rules in original CSS:

    .j-thread #body-apple .j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 {
        max-width: 860px;
        margin: 0px auto 30px;  /* <-- left margin is auto, which may be problematic in variable width environment */
    }
    .j-thread .jive-content .j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 .q-marker {
        position: absolute;
        top: 0px;
        left: -60px;            /* <-- negative box offset for left side */
        font-size: 55px;
        font-weight: 200;
        line-height: 1em;
    }

    which I adjusted it as follows:

    .j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 {
        max-width: inherit !important;;
        margin: 0px 60px 20px 60px !important;;
    }
    .j-original-message h1 .q-marker {
        left: -60px !important;
        font-size: 32px !important;
    }

            Method 2 (more beneficial to narrow window but has disadvantage for wide window)

            Let thread list table have full width but not exceed 1019px to make room for sidebar ui (filters & actions).
            If window is wide enough (>=1265px), sidebar ui is displayed next to thread list table,
            otherwise it is displayed below or above it (depending upon its document tree order).

            * thread table max width      = 1019px

            * canvas margin-right         = 40px

           Go down find this line of code

           You need to eliminate the slash / star * before the line of code and

           To get rid of all badges everywhere, uncomment the next three lines of code.

        -- Decided on a minimalist philosophy to focus on reading the posts.
        -- Don't display badges on list of discussion posts
        -- Footers should be short not take up a half a page.
             Uncomment the three lines of code to accomplish this after the
             "Rambling footer stuff will strink". Note some bombblast
             will remain, see adjustment at the end of the sheet.

           ========================

           Narrow is basically the same as the above wide screen browser except that this lets
           the sidebar column (filter column) in list view be pushed down or up in layout flow
           to make room for the main column (table column) when the window is not wide enough.
           It is done by setting margin-left and padding-left of main column to 0 and setting
           max-width of main column, which is currently 1019px.  Consequently, if window width
           is less than 1265px (= 40 (margin-left) + 1019 (main column) + 166 (sidebar colum)
           + 40 (margin-right)), sidebar column is pushed down or up according to document
           tree order. This rule set is intended to be useful for normal to narrow window
           whose width is in range ca. 700-1400px. It can be used for wider window as well but
           there's no point to set the max-width of main column in order to move sidebar
           column when the window is wide enough.

  • Why is head forced text lowercase

    This problem manifests itself first in the Opera browser. Then I loaded Firefox to check to see if the problem is specific to the opera, but it appears in Firefox as well.

    I'll build a web site with www.gandsnut.net/elecprod/ using the current version of the CMS Joomla (2.5.0). In this environment, we can fix the top-of-page headers, logos, etc..

    I wanted two lines of text to the top left of my home page. I want [' electronic nut specialties] (text inside the parentheses) and below, I want to [ingenious gadgets, construction quality, design interesting!] (text inside the parentheses).

    In Joomla, I configured the fields with two text strings mentioned above - keep in mind the CASE is important.

    In Firefox and Opera, which was displayed when accessing the designated text home page, but all the letters made tiny.

    At first, I thought it was a problem with Joomla and started bug applications to their community.

    Check also, if I mouse click/drag through the two lines of text, then copy - paste in a text file, letters seem OK. In Firefox, using tools-> Web Developer-> Source of the Page and scan down to the text in question, it appears with the proper case.

    Here is a copy/paste of the source:

    < a href = "/" title = "Home" > "electronic specialties of the nut < /a >

    Clever gaGeTs, construction quality, design interesting!

    On the run page, the letters are tiny.

    HOW CAN THIS BE? How can what Firefox reports as source of the page for a web page appear differently ON the web page? Worse still, how I point highlight/copy/paste a string all appear to be tiny, and when I paste them elsewhere, the change case?

    Please notify. Appreciated.

    The text is automatically converted into lowercase because of a css rule that applies to this text: #header H1 {text-transform: lowercase}

  • Level 1 specialty. Create a new discussion task

    How we end at specialty level 1 create a new task of discussion? I created a new thread in question in Apple's music on the Mac community, but did not receive credit for the completion of the task.

    I'm not quite sure, but I think you need to ask a question, after establishing that the Apple's music is one of your specialties - in other words, you did one of the other two things first? I'm sure that if you post another question, he would meet the requirement.

  • To learn more about itunes and sharing home

    Hello

    I have and love the opportunity to get extra icons on my profile for price and specialties. My current project for me is to add a full and complete understanding on iTunes and home sharing and be able to share music in all of my devices because I must admit that this is one really confuses me.    I would like to know how to add iTunes and or House sharing icon for my dishes on my profile. Specifically what I'm asking, it's where I go take some tutorials and perhaps start a discussion to get feedback from other members of the community to find out.    My goal is to be able to see the same music on my iPad that exist completely on my iTunes on my windows laptop 10. Wayback when I started with iTunes I thought that whole concept of iTunes was that what you install on your iTunes on your laptop or another computer would be Ewelle a bowl on all your devices which are related through sharing and your iCloud account but where I am now is that my library is entirely on my windows laptop in iTunes 10 but I very content limited on my iTunes or this called my music on my iPad that has iOS 9.3.  I would like to have my music synchronized from my laptop to new windows 10 to my iPad for iOS 9.3 and I find it very frustrating with getting this done. What still confuses me are all different as offers new services Apple where they say that you must have subscriptions to additional services in order to accomplish real music sharing sounds more like we're going to pay you for content you already bought by various means, regardless of if it was bought through iTunes, which in fact automatically available on all devices or using your own physical CD that you have owned it during the years that made you buy it or pay additional fees for the things you already paid which is like paying for things several times that don't sit well with me.

    THUS in short can someone please point me in the direction of tutorials and how also to start a discussion with other members of the community, so I can eventually become an expert on this subject? Thanks for all your help and assistance, it is appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Wonder Woman

    Home sharing is the specialty of iTunes rather than have one of his own. Pretty embarrassing, that gives the impression that I might be a local expert on the subject, when in fact I've never really used, or at least not to a computer.

    Start with your iPad, what is your library and what is the iPad in the UK? If your library can fit on the iPad, then it should be relatively easy to add to all of this. If it fits in the same time, it should be possible to make the smart playlists that maintain a useful subset on the device with an automatic turnover. If you want to continue to demand access to all your music on an iPad or a computer that is not enough big to hold all at once and then iTunes game you may.

    You started the conversation if you have taken the first steps.

  • Some Notes on iCloud library on a Mac

    iCloud photo library is a great way to keep the libraries in sync across several Macs. Most of the changes made on a Mac will update on all Macs that also use iCloud photo library (we'll ignore for now iOS devices).

    Exceptions to the rule: (use pictures and iCloud library on several Macs - Apple Support)

    • Projects does not synchronize: books, cards, calendars and slideshows
    • Thumbnails of faces doesn't sync, faces only available tags.
    • Not referenced photos download to iCloud photo library at all.

    A library of Photos it takes on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled), if you want to use iCloud photo library.  https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht211de786

    Not all media items can download on iCloud photo library. If the photo library has been upsized from iPhoto or Aperture, it can contain media, which are not compatible with iCloud photo library, for example some audio file format, or TIFF images high resolution. These will show as 'Local' only at the bottom of the display of Photos.

    Because the version of your photo library iCloud can miss information compared to the local version, a library of Photos to iCloud recovery can be frozen. Always keep a good local backup.

    Sometimes Photos will begin to download the complete library again to iCloud to compare it to the version of iCloud. This new download may take a very long time. For example, complete my library with 36000 necessary pictures a week to download it again.

    A new download will occur after the following events:

    Try to avoid these situations, if possible.  Photos's repeated outages can cause a repair of the library, but also issues permission, when you use the library of Photos from different user accounts.

    Ahh, very useful information.  And show me how meet the requirement of 'Ask a Question' new specialties when there isn't a question at hand.  Thank you.

  • Reputation points

    This may seem a stupid question and if so, I apologize, but why our totals have been removed from beneath our avatars?  It is slightly irritating to have to keep control of my profile to see if someone has been kind of marking no response from my helpful or solved.  I loved seeing it.

    We know it. I have access to the lounge, and other users have complained to this topic here.

    With the most recent change in these forums, it seems that Apple is more focused on the "specialties" instead of the points system (even if you still need points to level upwards). This is the reason why you have the Safari below your avatar icon. Take a look at specialties-> product specialties.

  • Apple specialist pay level 1

    As a result of the recent renovation of users and price levels, when they participate in the community Apple pay to reach Apple pays specialized level 1:

    • If a user does not all questions:
      • How can they meet the requirement "to create a new discussion on anything you'd like to know?"
      • How can they satisfy the requirement of "mark the debate by another Member as"I have this issue too "?

    If the purpose of obtaining the specialties must "show what products you're going really well informed!":

    • Why the original purpose (to the level 1) implies the obligation to demonstrate a lack of knowledge (by asking a question and stating that we share the question of another user)?
    • Why users who ask questions get greater public recognition for this specialty (via an icon with measures of progress) than those that provide answers, but no question that is clean?

    .

  • The price of new fashion

    How, exactly, they are supposed to work?  I read the tutorial for them several times, and yet when I downloaded a third avatar (that I had downloaded only two), the badge for this particular embodiment must still be color.

    Also, I found a lounge access for users of level 5 and upwards, now level 6?

    A more - 'specialties '... How are you supposed to bring?  Again, I read the tutorial a dozen times, and I see no 'Legends' anywhere telling me to do anything.  It seems like this had taken place without being properly tested or something.

  • HP dv6 envy: want to know on the best internal hard drive to replace it with

    Hi friends... I return my hp dv6 want 3 years and it has worked well for me so far, but since last month, everytime I turn on my laptop, a message is popping indicating that YOUR HARD DISK has FOUND YEAR IMMINENT FAILURE AND there NEED TO BE REPLACED and I studied a lot of posts here regarding this problem and everyone was asked to replace it with a new one. I don't know what drive should I replace it with. Could someone please help me in this regard. I need the following details:

    1. where can I find new internal hard drive HP ENVY DV6 1 to buy?

    2. can we replace this hard drive with the hard drive to other companies? (such as seaggate)... If so, so, please let me know

    3. can I replace the hard drive with a hard drive of 1 to solid state?

    4. links to vendors who sell internal hard drive?

    Please help me friends...

    The answer is Yes in all areas. The laptop will accept any 2.5 inch wide disk SATA 9.5 or 7 mm thick and which includes mechanical hard drives and Solid State drives. Where are you located (one country)? Hard drives and SSDS for laptops are a part of the goods. You can pick them up at a Best Buy or Frys if you live where there are no Frys or you can use amazon.com or newegg.com or similar online service. The prices vary a lot, so it is useful to get a good deal. A 1 to SSD can run more than $300, you know. Need instructions for installing and/or migrating software? We are a bit like McDonalds here in the Forum... served billion regarding replace drive hard/updates to level. One of the specialties of the House, so to speak.

  • Components for the Acquisition of data for a Sub miniature sensor

    Hello

    I'm looking to acquire the data of two simulatneously cells (T4 - 100 L Measurement Specialties ELFS) load Sub miniature.  The FS it out 100 lbs to 2.83mv / lb.   I already have LabVIEW 8.2 and have acquired data using an analog I / 0 but my signal was weak compared to the noise in the system.  I am a high speed data capture because the application that I use has an impact.

    My question is: what the amplifier signal conditioner and the DAQ combination would be the best for this aplpication?

    Thank you

    Scott Kramer

    Hi Scott,.

    Welcome to the forums EITHER!  Looks like you might be interested by the 9237 bridge and strain measurement Module. The 9237 comes in a USB, Ethernet, or Wireless channel, or as a stand-alone module for use with a cDAQ chassis.  The 9237 offer a 50ks/s/ch sample rate, up to 10V of internal excitement which should reduce the noise from your system.  Based on what you mentioned, it's the product I would recommend - you can find the manuals on the links above to verify that it meets all your needs.  There are additional specifications that you need?
