Speed of memory M6400 seems slow

I have a BIOS A13 M6400 running.  8 GB RAM DDR3-1600 installed (4x2Go).

I rum Memtest86 + and reports of memory is in 3 917 MB/s access.  It seems terribly slow for DDR3.  On my other units running DDR3 memory speed is closer to 8000 to 12000 MB/s.  This speed of less than 4 000 MB/s memory is more like the speeds of DDR2 ram.

I greeted Memtest86 + to run one day on this machine with no errors of memory and without overheating.

I have reset the BIOS to factory default... just in case.

All four memory modules are identical to the manufacturer and the model (I'm OCD like that).

Memtest86 + reports the bus memory clocked at 561 MHz (DDR3-1123).

The machine is still in good working condition (or it seems that Yes) and I wish to keep to a certain extent low around computing tasks, but not if this speed memory testifies to some kinds of chip failure.

The best, you have to get out of this system is 1066 MHz - the Core 2 Duo CPU cannot execute RAM faster than that.  If you see somewhere around 533 MHz on the memory bus, this is quite normal.

The following generations of processor (i7) authorized operation 1333 MHz - but that is far beyond the capabilities of this older system.

The chipset is identified as a website Intel Crestline-GML GL960, Everest and Toshiba show as claims the site Intel Web capable, DDR2-667 on DDR2-533.

  • Network of Smartphones blackBerry speed seems slow

A Pearl 8130 (ver 4.5) for a month now and with No downloading(d/l) additional files, ringtones, etc of the original configuration. The first two weeks, signals and Internet requests are strong and fast enough. Now the same office (x) the signal is still strong, but the Internet homepage "asking speeds" seems to have slowed down a lot. 1xEV still shows on the display. Sometimes I "re-" the application and this seems to help some. Is it slow down normal to the Sprint 3 G network? Coverage maps see the 'good' for me. Any help or information appreciated.

    Edit above message:

After talking to Sprint tech support, they said to remove the battery for a minute to replace and see what happens. After this, everything works fine now and my free memory have increased to 8 MB. Apparently, from time to time, it's a good idea to do so, especially if things seem to s-l-o-w and nothing else on the phone has changed.

    Hope this helps others.

  • My mail box has almost 25000 messages. It seems too heavy. It seems slow. Is there something I could do to speed it up?

I connected my mail box with my gmail address. I bought the macbook air in January 2014. I need to keep a lot of messages, so I have about 25000 of them in my mail box. The e-mail software seems to have problems with that because that gets slower and sometimes she closes its doors. Is there something to do: I was wondering if it is possible to separate the old messages? It's a recommendation when I was using windows and office.

Please leave Mail runs. This procedure has no effect unless you leave Mail when you start.

    Back up all data.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    sqlite3 L*/C*/*.mail/*/L*/*/*/C*.db vacuum; sqlite3 L*/M*/*/*/E*ex vacuum

Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    Paste in the Terminal (command-V).

You should see a new line ending with a dollar sign ($) below what you entered. If this is not the case, press return. You can then quit Terminal and relaunch Mail. Test.

  • Acer Aspire E5 - 521 AMD 1.8 GHz Turbo 2.4 GHz seems slow when it should speed up

I have updated the laptop to Windows Home 10.  I noticed that the speed of the CPU drops to 1.7 GHz .99GHz whenever applications run.  However, when you are sitting idle, it will accelerate up to almost 2.4 GHz (what?).  I noticed when editing a video clip.  I know that this is not a unit of video editing, but he can do light edition of little video clips.  CPU has dropped to as little as .99GHz for rendering and never got higher than 1.6 - 7GHz. Then I noticed that it does this on all the tasks that I run, using Windows Media Player, surf the web, install software, copy files, etc.  What gives?  CPU cycles to the top when I stop doing anything and just look at the performance of the processor.  It's a Quad AMD6, not a high-speed CPU but it should do with the turbo function, better cause when I do my editing, it is difficult to swallow this pill that he not gases upward but throttles down and little import if it is plugged or current alternative.  Time remain somewhere between 41 - 53 c.

I followed your advice and contacted the Acer Support.  I was told that it was in my power settings.  I had to choose the advanced option under the edit window Plan and in the drop-down list choose High Performance settings.  REP said this should solve the problem.  So I'll try that. So unless this does not work for some reason, I guess it's a closed question.

AVG wanted to bother with "Site display settings" Firefox or something like that, in order to use Firefox for my internet speed. I did accidentally and Firefox has seemed to become slower (or paranoid). I can't understand what AVG has done, and I hope that someone might know.

Here's a Word to copy Word of what he said:

"Firefox settings for the display of the Web site are not optimal for the selected in your profile or your computer Internet connection.

Our recommendation: your browser settings must match your Internet connection and allow the performance of your computer for you to surf the Internet at the maximum speed possible.

So any ideas on what AVG could change?

MBP Late 11, 4gigs ram, 250 GB free on the hard drive.  Recently, it has been slow at the point of being unusable.

Internet use has become if slow I was just using my phone for most things, (I HATE to use phones).  YouTube passes like a minute just to play a video.  Simply scroll a page is on a 5-10 second delay.

Can I use is no longer my music composing/recording of the programs at all. Sessions created on the MBP now play back slow and jerky.  It's particularly frustrating for me due to the fact that it is the main reason I bought it.

I know I could get more ram, or other improvements of equipment, but the $ isn't here and I just want to run around like he did with the same characteristics.

The only thing that may or may not be a clue (I know at least that it is some kind of issue) is when I restart or stop a window appears asking you if I want to continue the installation of some programs, I can't understand.

    Virus, perhaps?  Malware?

in any way, any help or advice will be greatly appreciated, or this thing must soon become a $1500 table stabilizer.

    Thanks in advance.

  • After java update 7.51, seems slowed down firefox. someone else?

Current date: January 24, 2014. Update Java on prompt to start a couple of days. Subsequently, seems that Firefox is a little slower in page changes or click links on some sites that I visit regularly. I have no web design skills, so I don't know the terminology. CPU/GPU fans revving upwards, I hear more I remember well.
I use Firefox 26 or later.

    Thanks, jayakumars:
In the meantime, the problem seems to have corrected itself. I don't notice any lag at the moment. I have indeed start in safe mode according to the instructions and surfed briefly. I didn't notice any lag some. But like I said the shift seems to have corrected itself before the safe mode, try. Some other events in the meantime have been an update to the Flash Player Adobe right at the start. I have Java and Adobe set to auto update with alert, as well as Windows.
So. Thanks for your time and your amazingly quick response. I don't know that there are other real handling problems.

  • Can speeds of DVD - I play slower pre-recorded DVD - Satellite P20 801

I have a Satellite P20 801. I think to buy a DVD burner, so I can transfer VHS to DVD hardware. If I recorded it at a slower speed, would I be able to play on my laptop? How can I tell if the DVD on the P20 player can play different rhythms - assuming that's possible?

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know that the recording speed is not relevant for play. You can save on the minimum or maximum speed DVD and the DVD can be played on your P20. My previous laptop was P20 and I never had no problem with this.

  • New retina 21.5 seems slow.

I just bought an iMac 21.5 with Retina display, and it seems terribly slow for a new machine expensive.  It has the standard 1 TB drive.

    Thank you

It is under warranty. • Satellite A350-02 t on the basis of normal operations, seems slow

I just bought a new Satellite A350-02 t to replace a non-defective Toshiba laptop. My old laptop was 1.6 GHz AMD Turion Dual Core with 2x256KB of cache L2 and 1 GB of RAM and slow. Often, I have to wait for the programs to load or switch between the screens.

My new laptop is 2.16 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core with 1 MB of L2 Cache and 3 GB of RAM and seems to run pretty slow as well. I was expecting to fly compared to my old laptop. And I really haven't had the opportunity to put to the test. Everything I do is surf the internet, word/pdf documents visualization and personalization of the laptop.

Is this normal or do you think something might not work properly?

Also, I've first turning on laptop, it took about 2 hours to complete the initial Setup.
    It seems normal?

    Hello!

Well buddy, it's not easy to tell what is the reason for this and I think that it s only a software application or something else that make the cell phone a little more slow.

You use Windows XP or Vista? If you are using Vista, you should check this Toshiba document:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ9401B10001R01.htm

If you have installed some 3rd party applications remove them and defragment your HARD drive at any time.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

    Good bye

  • AMD APU Kaveri (like E555) - what speed of memory?

Anyone know the max memory possible for Thinkpad E555 speed in a more recent double module and with BIOS configuration?

AMD lists in some documents of different possible speeds for single SO-DIMM and SO-DIMM and dual level as single or double rank. He claims that there could be a fall to 1333 MHz even. But what is the reality for the Lenovo Thinkpads? I found no official document on this.

There are brands (such as Kingston HyperX Impact) which have DDR3 SO-DIMM available for 1600 MHz, 1866 MHz and 2133 MHz, so that this is not offered specifficaly as being compatible with the E555.

Everyone with more memory RAM speeds than 1600 MHz DDR3 on the E555 or a similar Thinkpad?

Since there was not any feedback I chose a kit of 1600 MHz (Kingston HyperX). He works at the set rate - slightly overclocked - Lenovo 2x810MHz and isn't clockin until 1333 MHz as suggested documentation AMD BKDG.
If someone could share experiences of 1866 MHz or faster RAM kits, I would be happy to know...
