spell check for children using flash

I create a spell check for children using flash.

Flash starts with silhouettes of a Word say B A N A N A and below shows a jumble of letters. Trolling children and drops each letter on the top dark silhouettes. If it corresponds to the brand of the points.

Any help in the creation of script AS3 will be apreciated. I create one using mc and mc target and works very well when the mc's move to target mc. Only problem arises when there are duplicate letters.

Thanks in advance

What I have described will work as you describe wanting to.  If each movieclip A has a property (name, this property all you want, like "myLetterValue") with a value of 'A' and each target A movieclip has also a property with a value of 'A', then you can use these properties to determine when any object with an 'A' is planted on any target with "A".

So when you insert a letter on a target you compare property of each to see if they are equal... if(targetMC.myLetterValue == letterMC.myLetterValue) {/ / correct game}

  • How do I get spell check for outlook express?

I have windows xp pro. I can't spell checker for Outlook Express. It shows f7 in the Tools section, but it does not work. What should I do?

OE 6 doesn't come with it's own spellcheck. You need to Word or MS Office program, before 2007. The spell checker in Works 4 to 6 will work with OE, but not other editions. If you do not have such a program, you can download a free spell check to one of these sites.

  • Can someone help me please install a spell checker for Windows XP, I'm using the Firefox browser.

I recently installed Firefox/Mozilla browser, switch to Internet Explorer. I got a toolbar it's Google who had a spell check on it. I love Firefox browser to date, it is such an improvement on the Internet. And I need help to download a spell checker procedures... Where should I start, what click. Links me seems so confused, and I'm not very computer savvy... but I can follow the very good instructions.
Thank you for any information you can provide,
    Jeanette Gonzales

The link I gave you shows you how to install a dictionary if you want another language. Click on add dictionaries or scroll down a bit.

If you see a red wavy under a misspelled word, just right click on that Word, and you should get suggestions. The suggestions are not always perfect according to the word or spelling error that sometimes it can take a couple of tries to the spelling of the word.

Windows XP or Outlook Express "had a dictionary." Of OE Help:

Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available.

  • Spell check for young?

I've noticed lately that spelling is falling a few words that should be OK. This has happened in several documents. In my current document, it marked 'benefits' and 'specific '. My InDesign preference dictionary language is set to English: USA, there is no style applied to the text character sheet, and the paragraph style sheet parameter (which applies) the language is English: USA (there are no substitutions). The window check spelling shows also the language is set to English: USA when it is open.

I restarted InDesign (v7.0.4) and that there are no exceptional updates for all Adobe software on this computer. I also made sure to update the software system (Mac OS 10.6.8). I open the same document on another computer that is running Mac OS 10.7.5 and InDesign 8.0.1 and got the same results when I checked spelling.

The document contains six pages with lots of text, the fact that only two words are reported seems odd. I would expect the majority of the words would be reported if there was something wrong with the dictionary. So I created a new document and made a text box containing the sentence "the benefits are specified. When I checked the spelling, there are no flags! The problem document has been received from a client in version CS5.

It is possible the words flagged are using ligatures of f - for spell check i don't see as 'benefits' and 'specific', it reads them as "bene #ts" and "speci #c.

  • Spell check not to use American English Dictionary

I can't InDesign to use American English Dictionary for spell check on a single document (it works on other documents).

I tried to select the English Dictionary in oh so many places (preferences, character, user... Dictionary Panel) again and again, but every time I try to check the spelling happens with a Canadian French dictionary, so that every word in my document is marked as a misspelling. (For the record, I don't talk about any kind of French and would never have chosen the Canadian-French dictionary for a reason, and no one else was involved in this document.)

I tried exporting to IDML document and opened as a new file. I tried trashing the application preferences. I tried to change dictionaries when there is no open document.

Help! There are spelling mistakes in the last version of this document and the customer was seriously unhappy, so I really need to do a spell check this time.

Spell check language actually attributed to the text, so it looks that your text is marked as the Canadian French.

Paragraph styles, as said Jean Marc, are the first place to look to be sure that the correct language is used, but you can also use find/replace to assign a new language.
