  I recently bought a Toshiba SSHD (model MQ01ABD100H) and tried to install it. First thing, I noticed that BIOS of my HP Probook s 4370 could not find the disc, and therefore Windows did not install on it.

  I was hoping it was an old BIOS problem without acknowledging a SSHD. OK, I said. Update BIOS! Check! But it did not help. Then, I tried and retried it exchanges with the old drive and then start with Hirens boot.

  Hirens boot some utils HDD was unable to read the new SMART SSHD status. Yet once I hoped it was because of beeing SSHD a new design or something like that. Finally I mamanged to partition the drive with one of the utils and then install a new copy of Windows.

  But the thing that bothers me is another: the sound of creaking at every spin down (usually to the computer is shut down). Taking my 15 years of experience which is a sing that the drive will not last much longer. OK, I've had enough.

  Packed this shit and he returned to the store, citing the above problems and ask for a replacement. And today I got my rear disc. The former. With the Squeak. On paper that accompanies it reads: tested disc. No error found. No sh * t...

  Now, I need your advice guys. Before I pick up the phone and send the technician to hell. What noise grinding spin-down? Anyone had similar problems? Should I continue to use the disk and ignore the sound?

  It of difficult to say something about this grinding sound.

  I had a HARD (common 2.5 SATA) internal drive that makes some pinging, but this did not always appear. From time to time I could notice clicks, but the HARD drive was working normally and I have not noticed any problems.

  But of course; in my opinion, everyone could be afraid of these special sounds if it comes from the HARD drive.

  I can give you the appropriate recommendation because it is really hard to tell if its a HARD drive failure, or perhaps not you should simply call the service guy and should try to test another HARD disk.

  Hi, I have recently updated the BIOS on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L20, and I noticed that the disk hard keeps spinning down after about a minute, even while typing or surfing on the internet. I checked the power settings Windows XP and have it put on the desk, with the time 'Disable hard drive' set to 5 minutes when it is plugged and 5 minutes on battery (I always use on the same network). I checked the BIOS settings to see if there is something listed there, but there are no settings for hard disk power management in the BIOS.

  1. disable NetBIOS on my different computers
  2 - in the ReadyNAS, set the clock manually settings rather than choose an NTP server.
  3 disable Upnp on the reaydnas (I use it)

• Options will not spin down...

  In the effect controls panel, my options will not spin down. The triangle moves to the low score, but the options are not displayed. It was working a few minutes ago and I don't see anything that I could do to stop this work! Does anyone know what's not here? Interestingly, the presets twirl down but not the other 4.   If you open these in LC Designer, you can view the script by selecting the menu drop down and looking at the script at the top of the window Editor. If the script editor is a single line, you can drag the lower edge to make it bigger.

  Hello. I have a problem with my MacBook Pro 13 retina "(2015 at the beginning).

  My mac is about 4 minutes of cranking up about a quarter of the time and it is not related to the problem of the "boot disk select parameters. The computer just hangs before it's anything related to the start-up procedure. It's just a black screen with no interaction with the mouse, no noise and no keyboard input. It does not recognize the 'option key ' (used to get into the disk boot selector) until I pressed it for several minutes, and then the boot drive selector freezes as well.

  I don't have any external drives connected, and already tried SMC reset, reset the PRAM and reinstalling the operating system (normal wipe and wipe any partition).

  It seems that you have some SSD problems.

  Have you tried to boot safe mode. Try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

  You can start in recovery mode by pressing command + R and then using disk utility to check your SSD.

  If you have Apple Care, I'd do an appointment at the Genius Bar. It could also be a hardware problem.

  I am wanting to create a menu drop-down having the names given to the controls of the series for a device.

  So, as the Advanced Serial write and Read.vi that is provided by labview, instead of having to type in the code of the command series, I want to add a code to a name and ask the user select this name in a drop-down list and it will run the vi.

  Hello, I hope this is the forum for this question rigth.

  I am trying to set up a new T330 for one of our customers, and I want to use a Raid 1 + Raid 1 configuration. First raid for the operating system and daily backups, second raid for a database.

  I tried the C15c configuration, but I always get the error "the size of the hard drive in the first RAID channel must be smaller than the selected hard drive in the second Raid channel".

  Is it really necessary to buy an SSD that is bigger than the HD used in the first Raid? The DSS may be relatively low, but I need more space for the backup.

  Is there an alternative solution to this?

  Yes. In fact, you can mix drive types on the SAME channel... they just cannot be mixed in the same virtual disk (table).

  I have a question about the most efficient way to perform the following task:

  I create a page that contains several DVT components to display data based on specific requests.  Top of page I am hoping to have a drop down menu (selectOneChoice) that contains dates different and based on what the user selects (i.e. 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, etc.), this will update the query in the view object of some (i.s. WHERE Date = '2011', or WHERE Date = 2013"), and then you view the appropriate data in the DVT.  What is the best way to do this - from a point of view bean managed / page, as well as the View object?  Advice/documentation would be appreciated.
