spooling print error 1053 problem I talked to HP and they said I would need to do a system restore and would lose all of my programs, I added.

I read some difficulties and that you haven't seen the right thing.  I tried a download from microsoft who fixed the problem until I had to reboot my computer.

I have windows 7 running on a Hp touchsmart desktop computer.  I just installed an Hp officejet printer 8600

Either you misunderstood or gave you bad advice.  Using the system restore won't make you lose all your programs.

However, if the printer has never worked properly, it is doubtful that the system restore will help.

Microsoft has just released two new automated tools that should be able to repair it, but before using them, it would be good to know if you have ever had a working printer installed on this computer. You might also want to explain what led to this problem (malware infection, power failure, etc.), as well as giving some details about the antivirus and anti-malware software you installed and provide the link from which you downloaded whatever temporarily fixed things?

It is the "light version" of the tool.  Run it, restart and see if your printer works.  If this is not the case, there should be a log created on your desktop by the tool. Open it with Notepad and copy and paste the content in your response.  Direct link to the Print Reset Lite Mode - http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9829710

There is also a 'Full' mode you can try if Mode Lite does not work.  Run this will require a reinstallation of all printers.  You can consider display with some more information before running this one: link Direct to the Print Mode Full Reset - http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9829711

Any help will be appreciated operating system is Windows 7 Premium Home edition is installed on an Acer Aspire.

In the default installation, the values must be RPCSS and http. However, it works fine even without http as a dependency. I guess that the http driver is the problem (not start) in your PC, and elimination of the dependence of spooler should do the trick.

  • Error in registry, I deleted some parts of my registry and I need to know how to restore them. Specifically my display settings program.

I downloaded and safety program Internet and a registry cleaner. I ran the cleaner registry and nothing but problems have had since then. Later, my screen resolution resets to the smallest setting and when I tried to access my display settings to change, I got an error message saying:

    Hi John Shrek,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

I will need more information to help you better.

    ·         Did recent changes to the computer?

    ·         Is this the first time you arrive on this issue?

    ·         Did you use any third party registry patches or updates recently?

Generally, this error occurs when there is a problem with one of the sound devices in the computer, such as a sound card or sound controller. However, this error can also occur if there is a problem with the file or the Internet connection.

Update the device driver for the sound card or audio controller. To determine if an updated driver is available, visit the website of the manufacturer of the component, or visit the Microsoft Update Web site: http://update.microsoft.com (http://update.microsoft.com).

Use Device Manager to determine the State of the sound card or audio controller. Follow these steps:

    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click on continue.

    2. expand sound, video and game controllers, and then look for the name of the sound card or audio controller.

If your audio device is listed, but a red "X" appears next to the device, the device is disabled. To activate the device, right-click the icon, and then click Activate.

If the audio device does not appear in the list of audio devices, expand other devices. If the multimedia Audio controller appears in the list, right-click on the icon and then click on update driver or update driver software. Follow the instructions to install the driver.

You can also go to the website of the manufacturer of the computer and install the appropriate driver.

Open Internet Explorer in Administrator Mode and check if you can play.

It can also occur because of a database of digital rights (DRM) corrupt management.

Follow the steps below to change the registry value to disable ProtectedAudioDG:

    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or click on continue.

    2. Locate and then click the following key:

    HkeyLocalMachine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Audio

    3. Locate and double-click DisableProtectedAudioDG.

Note: If this key does not appear in the registry, you can these steps.

    4. According to the value data, change the value from 1 to 0.

    Restart the computer.

    It should work fine now.
If the problem still persists to upgrade your security components by visiting the website http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp

  • Printer spooler will not start error 1053

    Hello

I got a Lexmark X 4550 printer installed on my Windows 7 x 64 inspiron for a few months now. Steeplechase the printer would not print that's never happened before. When I went to devices it says there was a problem with the printer and she needed troubleshooting. The store could not find a solution. I found a few fixes suggested online and you have tried without success. However, I discover that the printer spooler has been arrested. When I tried to restart services it came with an error that says: -.

Windows cannot start the service on the local computer printer spooler

Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or timely control.

I checked that it is configured to run automatically, and when I checked the dependencies that I discovered that the remote procedure call was arrested and the manual value. I have reset automatically and it started successfully. This did not however fix the printer spooler error.

I uninstalled the lexmark software and tried to delete the printer driver - this has not helped either.

I also tried the following: -.

    Open a command prompt window

    the control key;
dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

    Restart the print spooler

    This did not help also.

I tried the list in the folder of the coil of compensation, but there's nothing in it.

I totally ideas, suggestions on how to fix this? I think that Windows had a fix for this problem on XP and Vista, but I can't find one for windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James (and all those who have contributed so far),

I found this offer on the Microsoft Answers site forum.  It's by a guy named encro.

Let me know if it works, I don't have access to a printer for the moment.  I'd be more interested in your results, whether it is successful or not.

The solution: get the spooler to start!

This seems to be a very common problem on Windows 7, caused by a recent update 'Important' within the late March/early April. I found the fix for this while working on a clients machine and noticed something abnormal in that the print spooler was not actually the print spooler it is why it wouldn't start. Now that our team have set about 20 machines using this process, I'm confident enough, that this is workaround until a future WSUS update corrects this correctly. It's still speculation at this point because log files have not really brought to this day a lot of troubleshooting help this and it can be not linked to a KB from Windows Update.

I'm still trying to determine the real Windows Update update that caused the problem to inform Microsoft of bug but the problem goes something like this:

Determine if this is the case on your computer.

Verify the existence of spoolsv.exe.org and spoolsv.exe in %windir%\system32 (C:\Windows\System32)

If both exist then it is likely the following problem.

    Compare the spoolsv.exe file size

Sometimes the real spoolsv.exe is called spoolsv.exe.org [545KB] and instead of spoolsv.exe place will actually be a file 41KO posing as the print spooler. I guess the system saved the original spooler at a given time and accidentally replaced it with something else. Spoolsv.exe should be the file 545KO at this point.

    Correction of the problem

    Step 1: Spoolsv.exe and rename it spoolsv.bak

    Step 2: Spoolsv.exe.org and rename spoolsv.exe

Rename spoolsv.exe.org here is a bit more tricky because it requires to change the property file from TrustedInstaller to the administrator group and giving the full group write permissions for the file. Without doubt, this has security implications, it is recommended to restore the permissions once the file is renamed.

By changing the property of the file from TrustedInstaller to administrator then activation full of change to the administrator group, you can exchange files by the name change and correct this problem.

I usually and rename spoolsv.exe spoolsv.bak and then rename spoolsv.exe.org to become the real spoolsv.exe.

    Step 3:

Start the print spooler via Services (services.msc) or at the command prompt by using net start spooler.
