Spot Healing brush and concealer problem

I have the latest version of Photoshop installed CC 2015.  However, there is a problem with the toolbar on the left side. The Spot Healing Brush tool and the heal tool have no menu to click and get other options, like the red eyes under the Spot Healing brush removal tool.  It seems to be a fault of my software.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Everything else seems to work very well.

I have a PC running Windows 8.1.  A lot of RAM and memory available.

Hi deborahl.

They could are passed under the edition toolbar option.

Go to the Edit menu > toolbar > restore default values and then check out.

Kind regards

Claes

Spot healing brush draws the closest pixel and replace that pixel to the closest match.

  • Tablet Wacom and Spot Healing Brush

    Hello

I use CS6 and then using my new little wacom tablet, I noticed that no matter what I do, I can't turn off the pressure for the 'Spot Healing Brush' sensitivity.  All my other tools I can.  I'm not comfortable using the pressure sensitivity to make the biggest brush so I prefer just completely disable sensitivity.  I sent support of Wacom and they suggested I call Adobe.  Thanks Wacom. Thanks in advance.

A couple of other things to try:

Cut the size/pen pressure in the bar of tools options and/or dynamic form in the brush Panel (window > brush).

  • CC of Photoshop seems to hang for a few minutes when you import Lightroom CC using the Spot Healing Brush.

Recently updated Lightroom LR CC and CC updated Photoshop. When I "edit a photo in Photoshop CC", Photoshop seems to crash shortly after the image is loaded. Using the Spot Healing Brush just seems to hang the system for a few moments. Sometimes, I left the window and comes back only to see the large tracts of "to be edited" trails on the image. When they came, I have no idea. After an eternity, these trails are published. I have no idea where Photoshop is going and what is the cause.

It doesn't look like we'll be much help then, but you use a similar thread in the LR forum?  No, I see that it is the only wire you have anywhere.

This looks more like a LR problem, so go ask there as well:

  • Is there a way to set the Mode Content-Aware as a default option for Spot Healing Brush?

I do a lot of work, clean up the old files and try to stay in Content-Aware spot corrector mode.  Switching back from Lightroom, I usually find that the option button went to mode 'Create Texture', which I don't want.  I leave in Content-Aware, but it switches its own.  Cannot find some way to stay where I put it.

Is there a way to do this?  I'm wasting time and effort dealing with this.

    Thank you.

The crash is your real problem.  It is not able to remember from one session to the other that you want to have the content aware mode set for the Spot Healing Brush.

Reset your preferences by pressing Command-Shift-Option Photoshop start up cold.  If you get the keys down quickly enough it will prompt you to confirm the deletion of your current preferences.

  • Spot Healing Brush 'stick '.

    Hello

Anyone having problems with the spot Healing Brush "collage"?

Basically, an important part of the time, I hit 'Q' I don't get the circle to heal the task.  The cursor disappears and I don't see anything.  However, the tool works, but I don't see its size.  If I toss and turn it back on I get the sights and so I can click and hide tasks, but I don't see when I will expand/collapse, and I do not see when I move it.

I've seen this with all versions of Lightroom 4.1 (RC1, RC2 and now GM) on OS X 10.7.4.  This is on a Mac Pro with ATI graphics card.

    Bill,

This question seems on the surface of time to another path from Lr2. If my memory is good, it is related to a timing issue (maybe cadenza, which was refined in 4.1). Basically, pressing the space bar key low opinion of filling and tool switches becomes the hand. LR seems to get tangled and cursor disappears. Many users Windows XP used to be plagued by a similar problem.

  • Healing Brush and Patch tool

Can someone please teach me how to use the healing brush and the patch tool? I didn't get the video!

    Hello
If you are struggling with the video - it might be useful in providing a link and by showing how you are getting lost.

Reading in the meantime, this might help: retouching and repair photos

Also some examples of a recent wedding:

In the first, I used the Healing Brush tool spot, value "Content Aware" to paint on a sheet at the foot clamps in a wedding photography. It was literally just paint on leave and then releasing the mouse button (or a pen) and Photoshop filled in the region.

The second was an area with the pattern and the spot Healing Brush tool could not match the pattern exactly

I chose the region of the offending piece of the grass, the patch the Source value tool, and then drag the selection to another box patch until the model matched. When you release the mouse, Photoshop has mixed model

The third was the abolishment of a from offending lamp from a background.

In this case, I used the Healing Brush tool.

I selected the source (i.e., what part of the image to paint with) whenever by holding down the ALT key while clicking on and then painted on the station. By choosing a variety of sources in different parts of the background, I have avoided the repetition of pattern tree.

    I hope this helps you

  • Why didn't - not the dialog box 'sample all layers' that displays in the Spot Healing Brush Panel?

Can you post a screenshot of your light?

That's what you should see the tool options in photoshop cc 2015.1.2 with the Spot Healing Brush tool selected.

Check in the photoshop Preferences > workspace and see if close Enable option bar is selected that has a different appearance of the symbols in the options toolbar.

  • How to use the Spot Healing Brush?

I used the Spot Healing Brush 5 images with ease. When I used it today, it would not help in the elimination of the task. What is the problem?

The obvious things to check first: If you are in the right layer? If you are editing on a new empty layer, you select all layers checked. Following would be: you have a choice you hid. Another would be to ensure that the blending mode of the tool is to normal. If all those who are correct, then probably want to reset the tool.

  • Is there a way to reflect the image taken by the spot Healing Brush tool?

    Hello

Is there a way to reflect the image taken by the spot Healing Brush tool? For example, I learn to restore an old photo of a face. One nostril is damaged, so I want to use the other to replace, but the image of the nostril by the spot Healing Brush tool is back forward.

    Thank you

    Sally

    Hi Sally,

It is the wrong tool to use, but rather to use the clone stamp. Open the control panel in the Windows menu and you will see many options. One is to reverse the cloned area. Like this. Put the clone on its own layer like that allows you to better position and apply a layer mask to cover whatever it is unwittingly cloned. Cloning should be done with a soft brush at around 50% opacity just to enhance the effect. When you have finished giving the layer clone a soft Gaussian blur as this smooth out the look. Then flatten to restore

    It may be useful

  • LR4 removal/spot healing brush

I was hoping and waiting for better healing/spot removal brush in LR4... and now I'm disappointed

    should I wait for LR5?

I am completely with you.  I need to take almost every image in Photoshop to use the Healing Brush, and it's a giant pain in the a$ $.  It's really disturbing to workflow and I cannot that assume Adobe does not add this feature to LR because it would be cannibalizing PS too.  I talked to several photographers who feel the same way.  They use PS to all its layers and text tools etc etc - just very good healing tools.  LR is a very good organizer, the RAW image processor, the engine noise reduction, but it is not what I need to do for any editing when it comes to portraits.
