Spread the word about antivirus-eee-2011.ce.ms/fast.scan when browsing the internet on XP

I was surfing on the internet and a message from the address above indicating that I got the virus and avast! came and said I could update my account. I have virus checked with McAfee, MAlware, Avast!, and MS and all say that I am very well. I have not download or request this antivirus-eee-2011 etc and is not in my hardware announcements. I can it safely remove? Should I shut down my computer? He told me that if I shut my computer down it will crash. Help... What should I do? Thank you

* original title - I received a message saying somewhere that is antivirus-eee-2011.ce.ms/fast.scan and that my computer is infected. I ran three scans which tell me that my comouter is fine. What should I do? *

Web site: antivirus-eee-2011.ce.ms/fast.scan downloads a fake antivirus on your system, because you have not downloaded the file you should be fine and your computer should not crash if you stop (this is just alarmist tactical use of the fake antivirus developers)

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro computer laptop with McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011 - no text displayed in the Panel Application from McAfee. I don't see the settings. How to fix this?

I just started using Windows 7.  McAfee has worked well in Windows XP.  But now, McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2011 does not appear correctly.  I reloaded the software from the McAfee site, so I know that I have the latest version.  "The icon still shows the actions that can be taken, such as ' Check for Updates ', 'Run a Scan', check the subscription", "View my account", etc..  But when I open the main screen of McAfee, there is no text, no button, no links.

What is happening and how to fix it?

  • How to stop Vista Security Center 2011 to block access to the internet

My sons laptop has been mess up since yesterday afternoon. There McAffee Antivirus, who has never been a problem, however, "Security Center Vista 2011' at random is appeared for the first time, automatically scanned the computer and reported 25 viruses. For this reason, whenever it opens Internet Explorer to surf the net, a pop-up appears telling him that he is infected. If it it closes its doors, the internet charge only to be saying the same thing again, and if you choose to continue to sail on the same message appears, telling him that he is infected. If we go on the Vista Security Center to try to adjust the settings, it leaves us not as customization options are 'greyed out '. He asks us to buy a full version which we don't want.

We had McAffee scan for these viruses, and it reported a Trojan horse which he deleted. I then rebooted the laptop and the computer starts downloading Vista SP1. It took about an hour to install it. I was hoping that the errors were corrected, however it is still preventing us access to Web sites, saying each site Web is "infected." Several windows pop up appears regularly telling us that the computer is infected and asked to purchase a full version of Vista Security Center 2011.

Please help, as we have tried a lot of things, and we cannot remove this security program.

    -Simon

Hi there, Ok vista security center 2011 is a virus. You need a better program Antimalware too to roll all this crapy virus!, I wrote this a month ago. You need too download malwarebyets you can find it here on this link http://www.malwarebytes.org/, download the free version, then you will see a desktop icon of this anti-malware program. You need also side click on it and run as administrator, then it will start up. Now DO a FULL system SCAN, not a quick analysis. It should take about 40mins or so. Now, you will see at least 4 bad Trojan and a virus. Now delete 'em, then after restart PC... Do the same thing again. After the scan is complete, and no virus found... System Restore to a point over 5 days. When we know that when the computer was working no probs then you done everything;), Post back on here to see how you are thereby. Thanks Dion.

  • I can't connect to the internet via my host after uninstalled antivirus software and restart

I can't connect to the internet via my host after uninstalled antivirus software and restart it.

I use windows xp on my host computer and all computers in my client. After that I uninstalled the free trial NIS version and restart my host, I lost the internet connection. Tried to restore with the restoration of the system, but when I restarted it, it said the system restore could not be made. I changed it then with my laptop and I can connect to the internet as the host.

    Hello

This can happen if the uninstall process fails and leaves behind a Symantec registry value. See the following Symantec article.

Unable to connect to the Internet after uninstalling Norton AntiVirus.

    http://Service1.Symantec.com/support/NAV.nsf/8d071816eedd7cac88256c0e005a96e5/751c3298ab99cf7188256d34006702e2?OpenDocument

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Original title: Please help me

I had a problem with my computer... When I use the internet online... all written or missing words in my lcd screen... I already check that the computer with the antivirus software, but has not detected a virus in the computer... what should I do?

    Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. what anti-virus software have you tried checking the virus?

3 have there been any changes made on the computer before the show?

    4. where exactly you are missing words?

Even if you have used a virus protection software, try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner for any malware or spyware infection and check if it helps.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

If the problem is not resolved, please provide more information to help you best.

  • I have Windows xp, how to remove or delete a contextual area about the Windows Installer which appears unwsolicited when I open Internet Explorer

Boxc contextual of Windows Explorer is displayed when I open Internet Explorer... it does not cancel - runs a secondary Windows Installer box.   I have to go through the process to attempt to cancel the boxes about 3 times before finally disappears and allows me to use my browser.

    Hi LeonCollins,

    1. What is the full error message you get?

2 this only happens with Internet Explorer, or when opening other programs?

You can try these steps and see if it helps.

Method 1: Reregister the Installer engine.

    a. Click Start, click Run and then type cmd in the dialog box, and then click command prompt.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

    MSIExec /Unregister

    MSIExec/regserver

Method 2: Check your version of Windows Installer and upgrade to the latest version if it is needed.

    a. Click Start, type cmd in the search box or click Run then type services.msc in the dialog box and then press ENTER to open a command prompt window.

    b. at the command prompt, type MSIExec and then press ENTER. If the MSI engine works, there should be no error message, and should open a separate dialog box. This shows the MSI version.

If the version of the installer is not version 4.5, see the following article in the Knowledge Base Microsoft for more information and a link to download Windows install 4.5:

942288 Windows Installer 4.5 is available

Try to install or to uninstall again.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hello
It is usually a video driver issue. Would like to know what controller you have and see if the manufacturer has a new driver for Vista.
Please let us know if that was the issue.
