Spreadsheet file format

For some reason, writing worksheet function gives me problems.

If I have entered a 1 d or 2D array of integers (ints) or slna or sgls, I can format the worksheet as % 3f or what I need to be.

I wanted to have positions above the columns, so I did an array of strings.

I changed the table channels 2D double to decimal and build table used to add the channels in the first row.

What do I need connect to "format" in the writing of the function of spreadsheet will not get an error.
I tried %s and it does not work.

Yes, that is what I am referring. Writing on a Spreadheet file is a polymorphic VI, and DBL version is the default one you get. To select another variant with the right button on the VI icon and select the visible items-> polymorphic selector VI. This will display the menu of polymorphic selection just below the VI. Click on it and select the variant of the 'chain '.

Joined a VI that does exactly what you want. It is implemented in the easiest way possible, write data to the disk a line at a time. If you have more than a few thousand lines, you want to do it more effectively. Let me know if you need this change.

The code is in LabVIEW 2011.

  • Incorporate the binary string in the string spreadsheet file

    Hello LabVIEW wizards...

So I use scripture to VI file spreadsheet to create a beautiful layout, tabs-delimited report of one of my programs for the acquisition of data file. In one of the cells in the resulting worksheet file that I want to put a binary string of all my control values so when you open the data file all the control parameters used for its manufacture are restored, but the string is hidden when the report is displayed in Excel.

The problem is that the binary string flattened uses tabs and returns as part of its syntax the Spreadsheet File this VI to Write it's going in all directions. Worse yet, I can't unflatten chain when I open the file text because of "corrupt data or unexpected".

If I concatenate the string flattened with quotes around it she is superb and is placed in a single cell in Excel, but when I open the file in LabVIEW that she is still several elements in the array. I've isolated the binary string using the file VI text reading and got a subset of the quoted string, but it still unflatten correctly.

Essentially, I need to know how to get LabVIEW to pull a string literal full of special characters into a spreadsheet file and it unflatten. Any gurus what help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

I suggest that you change the formatting of your chain shipped by replacing the tabs and returns with other characters that are not considered as commands by the spreadsheet functions. Without knowing how you represent your control binary values, I can't offer specific characters.

If two non-printable characters exist which do not appear in the control data, it's easy: just find and replace tabs and returns with those characters.  If there is no character, then something more complex needs to be done for example to escape special characters.  Or create two subVIs - one to remove the tabs and returns before writing the string in the file and the other to restore after reading.

  • Problem using: read the spreadsheet file

    Hello

I have 2 problems with reading spreadsheet file:

    (1) for the use of .txt file I can get the first column and not the other (even if I chose the correct output...)

    (2) this does not at all when you use my .xls file

I must do something wrong but can't find what...

    Has anyone an idea?

I have attached the .VI and my two files.

A native Excel file is NOT a text file.  It is a format of custom file created by Microsoft.  This is why you must use ActiveX to interact with him.

The worksheet ' ' folder features found in the work of LabVIEW with text files (delimited by tabs, CSV, etc.).  The text files are a format more generic that can be read by programs such as Notepad.  Tried to use Notepad to open an .xls file?  It does not work.  Excel can open a text file, because it is a generic format.

So even if everyone automatically thinks "Excel" when they see the word "Spreadsheet", the two are not synonymous.  In the case of LabVIEW, 'Spreadsheet' made reference to a delimited text file.

  • day: hour: min:second of logging in a writing on a spreadsheet file

I need to write a timestamp date time format: day: min:second (25:13:23:56) in a spreadsheet file.   Ideally using the output of ' string of Format Date/time ' and enter a 'table to build' there it goes into writing to the worksheet.  The only reason why it's required format is because I already have a program of scientific data logging 10metres upward and running.  It uses the timestamp of a Datetime.vi who takes the form of integer 132356.

  • How to remove header, time and date of the Subvi "export waveforms to the spreadsheet file?

I use 'Export waveforms for spreadsheet File.vi' in order to export the labview data into a file.

However, the default format is the following:

    waveform [0]
    T0 13/11/2009 14:54:34
    Delta t 0.001000

    time Y [0]
    2009-11-13 14:54:34 - 2.441406E - 3
    2009-11-13 14:54:34 - 2.441406E - 3
    2009-11-13 14:54:34 0.000000E 0

Yet I am interested in only the actual data without header or stamp date and time, for example:

    -2.441406E - 3

    -2.441406E - 3

    0.000000E + 0

Could someone help me please with the adaptation of the Subvi to my needs?

  • Should I change file Format for CD burning

I'm new with this please bare with me. What I can say all the music I have purchased through iTunes is in the AAC Audio file format. All the music that I imported into iTunes MY Cd collection has been imported with the Apple Lossless Audio File.

My question is the sound quality of the BEST CD, do I have to convert the music I bought, with is in the ACC Audio, Apple Lossless file format, then burn to the CD? There should just go with the Audio of the right VAC on CD file. I ask this for music that I bought. All the other songs I imported CD into itunes is already Apple Lossless. I am not concerned about the larger files, just to get the best sound quality for CD.

    Hi 80vette,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I see you are eager to learn more about the quality of the music, and if you can do something else to get them to a better quality.  Now it is possible to convert your AAC to Apple Lossless files, the only change you will see is a significant increase of disk space being absorbed by these songs.  Simply put, you can put the lossless format, but you will hear no audio enhancement.  In addition, encoded AAC files downloaded from the iTunes Store already compete with the quality that you hear on a CD of music retail:

AAC encoded files compete with the quality of the audio CD and sound as good or better than MP3 files encoded in same or even a high sampling rate. For example, a 128 kbps AAC file should sound as good or better than a 160 Kbps MP3 file. Because the flow is weaker, the AAC file is also smaller than the MP3 file.

  • When opening .doc website link, FF adds .docx file extention & does not open in Word 2010, with incorrect file format error. Pls Help

I use Firefox v12 to open a hyperlink to a Web site that points to a door MS Word Document to download.

Then, we are asked to open the file with MS Word (default), which is our installed version of MS Word 2010.

Firefox then renames the file by adding a .docx file name for example filename.doc.docx. MS Word 2010 opens with the error "invalid file format", which is correct that Firefox has renamed.

Is there a fix or a workaround for this?

You can try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all the actions file.

Can someone tell me if the 3D data captured via the germs can be exported as wrl, obj, or stl file? If this isn't the case, Sprout files can be imported into 3D Studio Max, manipulated and then exported to print via a 3D printer?

    Hi there @QuasiMaximus

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on the file formats used by capture 3D on the germ.  I'm happy to help you with this.

I found this post on the forum where State developers who take in charge for obj, is coming, but not yet included from January 2015.

    3D scanning of objects in 3D - it's files work? -sprout.hp.com

The same post indicates that the scans themselves are stored in the following location:

    {USER_FOLDER} \AppData\Local\Hewlett-Packard\Sprout\Workspace\AssetRepository\3dCaptures

However, I also found this video on youtube that shows you how to find the hidden obj files generated by the germ.

  • *. SEQ file format has any difference when it is deployed

A *.seq File Format has any difference when the system is deployed on a tester with the deployment only license?

I guess that the File Format affects only when you run the sequences in TestStand Development. But I may be wrong, that's why I ask.

    Thank you

    Reference of best practices:

    File format
File format can affect the speed and performance. Before TestStand 4.0, all sequences have been saved to the INI format.
TestStand 4.0 and later versions lets you record movies in three formats: INI, XML and binary. Binary format
offer the faster load and save time and also generates smaller files. You can specify which format to use for new
dialog box sequence files by clicking on the Options of Format of file button in tab Preferences of Options of Station. TO
change the format of an existing sequence file, choose the editing command' file of sequence properties and select File Format on the
    General tab.

The format will not change when it is deployed.  You see it change?  You can test it by opening in a text editor in both cases and see if they look.
