Sprint Blackberry Pearl 8130 programming blackBerry smartphones

OK, I am totally new to Black Berry and smart phones.  My carrier is Sprint.  I did the activation on the Sprint web site online and it moved my number to my new phone. Sprint sent an email to complete the swap.  The instructions say open the instructions to program your new phone and follow the instructions... OK, I'm stuck here. How can I do this on a Blackberry, I know a lot of phones that you do with # etc... The email sent me a secondary 6 digit, 6 digit, PTN, ESN/MEID, MSID weather... Any help would be greatly appreciated...  Thanks in advance for a major NOVICE.

Hello, Mr. Mookie!  You will soon fall head more care of your new blackberry and understand the affectionate terms provided.  As a "Crackberry."   Sprint has a cat of online customer care for help if you need assistance with your programming.  I'd be happy also to provide markets for you here.

1: Press # follow-up to the 6-digit code you were given, and then press the green button.

2:

Displays screen program for CDMA Service, highlighted on the Mobile directory #. The Mobile directory # by default, 000000dddd.

Clear the default entry of the Mobile directory # and replace it with the PTN 10-digit.

To do this, use the trackball to scroll to the end of the # directory Mobile field.

Use the button Delete button to clear the default numbers.

Enter the 10-digit PTNgood.

3:

Then, do scroll down the IMSI_S field and replace the default entry (same process as above) with the 10 digit MSID number.

4:

Press the trackball, select Save, and then press the trackball to save the new entries.

The phone displays "Write successful. Device reset. "The unit resets (power down and then power back up).

NOTE: The reset takes about 2-3 minutes. When the device turns on, a progress screen "Check security software" appears momentarily and voice programming is complete.

Visual indicator of small 1 x becomes a big 1 X. If within a period of coverage of the EVDO network indicator becomes a great 1XEV.

Congratulations, your new blackberry is scheduled, please allow up to two hours for your phone service start and up to 4 hours for your data. (Agent of sprint)

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones display icons

I have a Pearl 8130 and problems with an icon on my screen.  I think it has to do with the calendar event reminder, but I have not received any notification and the icon will not go away.  It looks like a square with a dot in the middle (a bit like a VHS tape).  (Yes I just dated myself

It's just boring - nothing wrong with the phone.  But I had problems with my Pearl because this is my second.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

That would be an indicator of voice message from your operator.

If you have a voice mail waiting icon wandering on your home screen:

    • Call your voicemail and clear the message.
    • You can call your BB from another and leave a message. You BB, call your voicemail and clear and delete your messages.
    • If the above fails, with your BB under tension - pull your battery to reset and restart your BlackBerry.
    • Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    • Clean and reload your OS.

    Good luck.

  • Could not set the audio volume on BlackBerry Pearl 8130

    Hello

All first of all information about the device and the JDE:

    Device: BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (Bell)

    F/w: 4.3.0.66 (Platform 3.1.0.35)

    JDE: 4.3.0.1r

Our application reacts on the main events of entry of the volume keys and set the audio volume accordingly in increments of 10. While net.rim.device.api.system.Audio.getVolume () works very well and returns the correct value, we are unable to adjust the volume. Adjustment is made through net.rim.device.api.system.Audio setVolume(int volume). Calling the method seems to succeed because there is no error returned. If we call setVolume (90) after that getVolume() return 100 the next call of getVolume() returns 90. However there is no noticeable change in volume. Even though getVolume() returns 0 audio is always heard.

Play media files is via MMAPI, i.e. javax.microedition.media.Manager and javax.microedition.media.Player.

Please note that the volume control works very well for BB Pearl 8100 with firmware version v4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.0.80) but fails for the above device. Application is signed.

How is it possible to adjust the audio volume of BB Pearl 8130?

CDMA devices (xx30) do not properly set the volume if you use the setVolume(int i) function.

net.rim.device.api.system.Alert.setVolume (int x) is also available.

    Maybe it works!
