BlackBerry Pearl 8130 ringtones Smartphones

I just bought my Pearl 8130. It is an awkward question, but where can I find

the place where I can change the ringtones? I've read that I must go to 'Profile'

but I don't know yet what it means or where it is? Thank you.

Access PROFILES. Scroll down to ADVANCED. Once your PROFILES opens click on your profile that says ACTIVE.

Once there you can scroll to the phone or any setting you want to change. Once inside, you can choose your ringtones.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do I know if the Blackberry Pearl 8130 has Windows mobile 5?

I need to know if my Blackberry Pearl 8130 works with at least windows mobile 5 prior to purchase of the Babylon Mobile for Smartphone that requires it. Options - everything is said version 4.5.0.66 (Platform 3.2.0.48) but I can't determine if it's the version of the Blackberry or the version of Windows. In fact I do not know if it works with windows. Can you help me?

BlackBerry has a different operating system.

    It's RIM OS.

    It's not Windows Mobile.

  • Could not set the audio volume on BlackBerry Pearl 8130

    Hello

All first of all information about the device and the JDE:

    Device: BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (Bell)

    F/w: 4.3.0.66 (Platform 3.1.0.35)

    JDE: 4.3.0.1r

Our application reacts on the main events of entry of the volume keys and set the audio volume accordingly in increments of 10. While net.rim.device.api.system.Audio.getVolume () works very well and returns the correct value, we are unable to adjust the volume. Adjustment is made through net.rim.device.api.system.Audio setVolume(int volume). Calling the method seems to succeed because there is no error returned. If we call setVolume (90) after that getVolume() return 100 the next call of getVolume() returns 90. However there is no noticeable change in volume. Even though getVolume() returns 0 audio is always heard.

Play media files is via MMAPI, i.e. javax.microedition.media.Manager and javax.microedition.media.Player.

Please note that the volume control works very well for BB Pearl 8100 with firmware version v4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.0.80) but fails for the above device. Application is signed.

How is it possible to adjust the audio volume of BB Pearl 8130?

CDMA devices (xx30) do not properly set the volume if you use the setVolume(int i) function.

net.rim.device.api.system.Alert.setVolume (int x) is also available.

    Maybe it works!

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphones it will support 8 GB Micro SDHC card

Hello again once, I was wondering if anyone knows if the pearl 8130 will support a micro 8 GB sdhc card?  SanDisk has no info on blackberry, (if the phone can use this card or not) and I just wanted to know if someone has one, and it works ok?

    Thank you!

8 MB cards are supported if your handheld OS is 4.3 or higher.

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones display icons

I have a Pearl 8130 and problems with an icon on my screen.  I think it has to do with the calendar event reminder, but I have not received any notification and the icon will not go away.  It looks like a square with a dot in the middle (a bit like a VHS tape).  (Yes I just dated myself

It's just boring - nothing wrong with the phone.  But I had problems with my Pearl because this is my second.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

That would be an indicator of voice message from your operator.

If you have a voice mail waiting icon wandering on your home screen:

    • Call your voicemail and clear the message.
    • You can call your BB from another and leave a message. You BB, call your voicemail and clear and delete your messages.
    • If the above fails, with your BB under tension - pull your battery to reset and restart your BlackBerry.
    • Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    • Clean and reload your OS.

    Good luck.

  • Issue volume ringtone blackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones - not loud enough

    What I did:

Entered in the media / ringtones / choose a ringtone melody / set as ring tone.

I've also went in the Media options / audio boost on.

I have the ringtone to play / click on the bb request button to bring up choices: when you are asked to activate the handset volume is so low that I would never hear my phone ring.  When I choose turn on speaker it's the volume that I prefer.  When I leave here and think that when a call comes in it would be again to that volume, it is not - the volume went from how far I could never hear it if the phone was not right in my hand.  Even when I set to Loud - profile (2 vibrate ringing and then ring), it is barely audible.  I know that the phone can be stronger, because I heard it.

I read a message that you can change the volume by entering the profiles of boards, but when I click on profile my only option is to choose a (Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, off) - I don't have the option after pressing the button bb to open other choices.

I have all over my bb pearl sought other places to find where I could do the volume stick in higher volume, but nothing helped.  Help!

Found my answer - ended up going to the store of Bell Mobility and the seller helped me with it.  Thank you!

  • BB of Smartphones blackBerry pearl 8130 custom ringtones

I am a newbie (had my bb for Christmas) and my experience so far has not been very pleasant. I've assigned personal ringtones.  Initially, they worked very often for some people, and now they don't work for everyone.  I had to have the phone wiped out this past Wednesday and I have everything set up again through the profiles, exceptions etc and now NONE of them work.  I don't even know who's calling me, because the names don't pop either... just the number with the default ringtone.  I tried EVERYTHING I read and nothing works.  I just a phone of shit or what?

any help, suggestions, etc. is GREATLY appreciated, I'm at my wits end.

OK, I went through all new and found the uscellular implemented video and re did everything new.  My father called me and it worked.  I called myself the phone of my mom and my home phone and they worked.  so unless he starts to act up again, I'm going to consider this problem solved... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

    Thanks for your help!

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Blackberry Smartphones

I recently bought a bb8130 two months ago. This is a used product, and I have Alltel. I tried to download IM + and downloaded and rolled out of my phone. But it will not turn back now, the red light blinks on the top right then the display lights and the hourglass comes up then it stops, happening just like that constantly. I tried to go to the Alltel, but of course, they don't have the capabilities of updated software for smartphones. What can I do to get my phone to turn on? Please someone help me...

    Jennifer

The last time I looked, they have an update for your 8130. Check the following site, find Alltel and download the software for your bb:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

But before you do that, click here and follow the steps to perform a reset and see if it helps.

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphone

We recently purchased the Blackberry 8130 and have some problems with them.

    1. Speed Dial worked at some point, but now only brings to the top of my address book.  I removed the battery for 30 seconds, but this does not solve the problem.
    2. Volumes of ringer, a few rings are not as strong when it is set as a ringtone, as it does in the field of the media.  Is there to increase the volume of individual ringtones?
    3. Phone seems to vibrate then ring, even in only Normal modes or by phone.
    4. Is it possible to move specific icons on the page "home"?
    5. How do you define the common, or if not, adjust ring ring?
    6. Is there another browser which can be downloaded and used on the 8130?

I figure out how to move the icons to the home page.

While on the icon, click on Menu and select move.  Move the icons in the top row puts on the home page.

  • Smartphone blackBerry pearl 8130 for telus not finding gps signal

I can't have the gps to work on blackberry maps.  I can get a satellite signal using the test program free telus navigator.  I'm womdering if telus makes the blackberry maps not to pick up the satellite signal in the cards blackberrry free so u pay the extra money to use the router to telus telus adavertises the Pearl has an internal receiver that works with the blackberry browser).  I would really like to use blackberry maps with gps work - can someone help me with this.

One thing that I tried that seems to work at least occasionally time to erase the memory of the device before you open maps of BB.  It seems to work I think maybe the international program out of the internal memory until u clean the memory.  You can do this by going to options-security-clear memory.  You can also put an icon to empty the memory on your screen.  Give it a try and see if I work for you.  Kevin Miehm

  • Gel blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry pearl 8130 AddressBook

On my 8130 BBP, whenever I have save a new contact in my address book, my phone freezes and I have to activate my phone market twice, after that an error message appears: error message is: eception exception: application net_rim_bb_messageing_app (79) does notprocess teriminated.     Most other times, the error message says bb_address_book_app.           It is likely?

    Thanks in advance

First of all, do it now: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Now, try to save a contact again. Possible?

Otherwise, try this, open an existing, make any changes to the record and SAVE contact. Works?

If this isn't the case, you may simply need to reload the operating system on the device.

Shout back if this is the route to take.

OK, I am totally new to Black Berry and smart phones.  My carrier is Sprint.  I did the activation on the Sprint web site online and it moved my number to my new phone. • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Pearl 8130 voicemail number

I recently bought this phone (less than 2 months ago), and a week ago I started having bad to retrieve voice messages left on the Blackberry phone.  Note that I am able to retrieve messages from the Blackberry using a landline or another phone.

With the help of Blackberry, I call voicemail.  He says I have 'X' number of new messages, then you hear 4 key 'beeps' and then it crashes and deletes messages.

Note that I have a 1 GB memory card in the phone, and I tried to clean up the memory.  That did not work.

I bought this phone online through the website of the provider of services a large cell on 30 April.  1 week ago today, I'll be back & on the phone with technical support of the cellular service provider.  Today, they told me that they could not reproduce the problem.  They told me to go to a cell authorized local service center, I did this afternoon.  The centre for authorized saw the problem and said they could not fix.  The best they could do was to charge me $35 and have a phone handed to nine sent in 3-5 working days.  They also asked if I bought insurance for the phone, which I did not.  In 5 years of possession of cell phones, this is the first time I've ever had a technical problem of cell phone (also the first Blackberry that I owned).  Pay $35 for a Blackberry "renovated" is not an option.

Help, please!  Thank you very much!

    Brent

Voicemail is not a function of device (BlackBerry or other). It is a problem of carrier, contact your operator.
