BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones display icons

I have a Pearl 8130 and problems with an icon on my screen.  I think it has to do with the calendar event reminder, but I have not received any notification and the icon will not go away.  It looks like a square with a dot in the middle (a bit like a VHS tape).  (Yes I just dated myself

It's just boring - nothing wrong with the phone.  But I had problems with my Pearl because this is my second.

Anyone have any suggestions?

That would be an indicator of voice message from your operator.

If you have a voice mail waiting icon wandering on your home screen:

  • Call your voicemail and clear the message.
  • You can call your BB from another and leave a message. You BB, call your voicemail and clear and delete your messages.
  • If the above fails, with your BB under tension - pull your battery to reset and restart your BlackBerry.
  • Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
  • Clean and reload your OS.

Good luck.

We recently purchased the Blackberry 8130 and have some problems with them.

    1. Speed Dial worked at some point, but now only brings to the top of my address book.  I removed the battery for 30 seconds, but this does not solve the problem.
    2. Volumes of ringer, a few rings are not as strong when it is set as a ringtone, as it does in the field of the media.  Is there to increase the volume of individual ringtones?
    3. Phone seems to vibrate then ring, even in only Normal modes or by phone.
    4. Is it possible to move specific icons on the page "home"?
    5. How do you define the common, or if not, adjust ring ring?
    6. Is there another browser which can be downloaded and used on the 8130?

I figure out how to move the icons to the home page.

While on the icon, click on Menu and select move.  Move the icons in the top row puts on the home page.

  • Issue volume ringtone blackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphones - not loud enough

    What I did:

Entered in the media / ringtones / choose a ringtone melody / set as ring tone.

I've also went in the Media options / audio boost on.

I have the ringtone to play / click on the bb request button to bring up choices: when you are asked to activate the handset volume is so low that I would never hear my phone ring.  When I choose turn on speaker it's the volume that I prefer.  When I leave here and think that when a call comes in it would be again to that volume, it is not - the volume went from how far I could never hear it if the phone was not right in my hand.  Even when I set to Loud - profile (2 vibrate ringing and then ring), it is barely audible.  I know that the phone can be stronger, because I heard it.

I read a message that you can change the volume by entering the profiles of boards, but when I click on profile my only option is to choose a (Loud, vibrate, quiet, normal, phone only, off) - I don't have the option after pressing the button bb to open other choices.

I have all over my bb pearl sought other places to find where I could do the volume stick in higher volume, but nothing helped.  Help!

Found my answer - ended up going to the store of Bell Mobility and the seller helped me with it.  Thank you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do I know if the Blackberry Pearl 8130 has Windows mobile 5?

I need to know if my Blackberry Pearl 8130 works with at least windows mobile 5 prior to purchase of the Babylon Mobile for Smartphone that requires it. Options - everything is said version 4.5.0.66 (Platform 3.2.0.48) but I can't determine if it's the version of the Blackberry or the version of Windows. In fact I do not know if it works with windows. Can you help me?

BlackBerry has a different operating system.

    It's RIM OS.

    It's not Windows Mobile.

  • Could not set the audio volume on BlackBerry Pearl 8130

    Hello

All first of all information about the device and the JDE:

    Device: BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (Bell)

    F/w: 4.3.0.66 (Platform 3.1.0.35)

    JDE: 4.3.0.1r

Our application reacts on the main events of entry of the volume keys and set the audio volume accordingly in increments of 10. While net.rim.device.api.system.Audio.getVolume () works very well and returns the correct value, we are unable to adjust the volume. Adjustment is made through net.rim.device.api.system.Audio setVolume(int volume). Calling the method seems to succeed because there is no error returned. If we call setVolume (90) after that getVolume() return 100 the next call of getVolume() returns 90. However there is no noticeable change in volume. Even though getVolume() returns 0 audio is always heard.

Play media files is via MMAPI, i.e. javax.microedition.media.Manager and javax.microedition.media.Player.

Please note that the volume control works very well for BB Pearl 8100 with firmware version v4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.0.80) but fails for the above device. Application is signed.

How is it possible to adjust the audio volume of BB Pearl 8130?

CDMA devices (xx30) do not properly set the volume if you use the setVolume(int i) function.

net.rim.device.api.system.Alert.setVolume (int x) is also available.

    Maybe it works!

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Smartphones No browser icon

Hiya... I'm in a world of pain...

Sorry - a little background on this...

In 2009 my husband bought me a new Blackberry Pearl 8100 on the internet (he doesn't remember exactly where). I put my sim O2 existing in this document, expecting to be able to access the internet/email, but none were available to me. A simple call to O2 clarified was that one - my sim card Pay & Go and at that time, O2 did not Blackberry web & email on Pay & Go. I use it as a phone for a bit, got irritated (searched internet and emails!) and bought a Samsung Tocco lite which I was using until last week when I discovered that, since last July, O2 were now internet Blackberry on Pay & Go.

So, I'm quite excited about buy a bolt on O2, push my sim in my beautiful Blackberry Pearl, get excited when I see the new icons for Facebook and Google, etc... and then I realize that there is no browser option. No globe icon, nothing. The only way I can see a browser icon if I have the menu button and select "Switch Application". The "phone says 'request', then gives me an option to sign up for Yahoo Messenger. If I hit the 'back' button, the screen is empty. If I accept 'Download', I get: "sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Yahoo."

I have set up my email and they work fine. If I click on the links in the emails, I just get a white screen.

I spoke to O2 who said that "all's fine their end" and there is no reason why I can't find a browser icon. They told me to check the latest Blackberry download so my "phone is updated. So, I installed what I believe to be the latest version, but that had no effect.

A battery pull (Finally, a hundred of them in fact...) has also no effect).

I'm close to launch the thing caught fire in the wall. Please help me save my beautiful little ' call from such a cruel fate... of ideas?

    (OS release: v4.2.193)

    Hello!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you could investigate new update of your BB OS... Here's a process for it:

From a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

the place where I can change the ringtones? I've read that I must go to 'Profile'

but I don't know yet what it means or where it is? Thank you.

Access PROFILES. Scroll down to ADVANCED. Once your PROFILES opens click on your profile that says ACTIVE.
