SQL Developer 2.1 (filtered) tables

Just downloaded SQL Developer 2.1 and try to use it. Have been using SQL Developer 1.2. Looks like a major difference - the most immediate is the tables (filtered) to jump on me. I looked at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/NewFeatureList21.htm and nothing comes to mind of what he meant.

So, that means Tables (filtered) mean? That means the green round thing on the procedures and functions mean?

Can someone point me to documentation / white paper any?

Thank you

-andy-

Right-click on the node and you will see "apply the filter...". ». Inside of this dialog box, you get a 'Help' button which leads you directly to the help topic.
As the Green thing, it is probably a bug in the Green Lady, which means that you have this code compiled for debugging.

Have fun

  • How to add data to the table changed in sql developer at Apex and vice versa

    Hello

    I had tables of database with sql developer. But now, I have modified the database (new tables added + changed the data in the tables). However, in the Apex, I the old database. Is it possible to get the new Apex database with the data of the table changed so this database in both places (sql and apex developer) is exactly the same... Also the other way around.

    The database schema that contains the tables, is it associated with the workspace even you are searching through the APEX product t development?  Why I'm asking is, if they are the same schema, the tables that you MODIFIED should be appear in the sql for APEX workshop part.  Now reports and forms will NOT see the changes (unless you have actually added or updated definitions for column).

    Can you explain what exactly you were doing the SQL Developer to the tables in your schema?

  • SQL Developer / Data Modeler - lost visual on the relationships between the tables

    11 GR 2 DBMS / SQL Developer 4.0.3

    In SQL Developer, using the Data Modeler I lost the visuals 'lines' (one to several, etc.) which show the PK to FK relationship between different tables from one of my patterns of relationship.  I know they exist - I'm sure it's my fault--put out something that I don't have.

    I looked on the web but without SOAP.  Can anyone tell me if it is a property and (as applicable) how to re - turn on the property.

    Thanks in advance.

    Barry D.

    Sorry - I found it - the relationship lines were VERY clear yellow and I could barely see it.

    Article by Jeff Smith on the model configuration screen has been very useful in this regard.

  • MySQL-> table using SQL Developer Oracle

    Greetings,

    Currently, I am a (student) temporary employee who is responsible for the migration of the MySQL database of a company to their new (gr 11, 2) Oracle database.

    So far, I use SQL Developer, because I learned a few minor techniques with this application.

    I have tried different methods for the migration, including those of the Oracle (Migration of MySQL) page

    I however got no positive results with most of the methods.

    -J' have established a connection to the MySQL database Oracle database aswell, within SQL Developer

    Now, so far, I've copied manually (right click on the table, copy to Oracle) 90% of the tables from the MySQL to Oracle database successfully.

    However, these tables contain only about 5% of the data. The problem is in the 2 tables that actually have a decent amount of records.

    FOR INFO:

    File 1: 75MB file .csv, ~150.000 records (individual records contain all select queries, where the size)

    File 02:50 MB of files .csv, ~2.200.000 records

    My previous attempts to use the same copy for Oracle option to right click on one of the two largest tables resulted in the following error:

    The table of queries down. Message: java.io.IOException: IO error: socket read timed out

    My first action to prevent this error has been to add a second file data to the current storage space, giving it 200M maxsize.

    Okay it's coming, my real questions!

    This could be a possible solution to avoid the error mentioned earlier to return?

    What other issues are possible in case of failure?

    Uses an external table to a faster and more effective method?

    (The reason for which I have not yet tried external tables is because I had no SYS (TEM) privileges, so anything that requires privileges, I first have to discuss with my superior).

    Any help is appreciated! Although my next answer is maybe not earlier that come Monday 17.

    Welcome, Brent

    Hello

    I just discovered there is a csv Import Wizard in sqldeveloper also - don't know if you tried?

    tables in the destination database (oracle) - right-click and choose Import data - this will bring you in a Wizard of csv.

    However, I think that due to the volumes of data it may have similar problems.

    sqlldr is probably your best choice - it's pretty simple once you find a decent example - it seems to cover the basics of ok - Oracle SQL Stuff (for example): SQL-Loader: the tutorial step by step - example 1 (CSV file)

  • execution of stored procedure in sql developer/sql more with a table setting?

    Hello

    I create a package with a procedure which has a cursor ref as output and a type as an input parameter.  Here is my definition of the package

    PACKAGE
    -------
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE TEST
    As
      TYPE RefCursorType IS REF CURSOR;
      type intTableType is table of varchar2(50) index by binary_integer;

      PROCEDURE GETDATA (
              P_RECORDS OUT RefCursorType,
               YEAR_LIST IN intTableType
      );
    END;

    PACKAGE BODY
    -----------------------

    SET DEFINE OFF
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY TEST
    AS
    PROCEDURE GETDATA
    (
      P_RECORDS OUT RefCursorType,
      YEAR_LIST IN intTableType
    )
    AS
    iYearList  IDTableType;
    BEGIN
      --GET ARRAY COUNT
      IYEARLIST := IDTABLETYPE();
      IYEARLIST.EXTEND(YEAR_LIST.COUNT);

      --LOOP THROUGH LISTS AND POPULATE ARRAY
      FOR I IN YEAR_LIST.FIRST .. YEAR_LIST.LAST
      LOOP
      IYEARLIST(I) := IDTYPE(TO_CHAR(YEAR_LIST(I)));
      END LOOP;

       OPEN P_RECORDS FOR
       SELECT CITHTML AS FORMATTED
        FROM dbTest.FORMATTED_HTML
      WHERE YEAR IN (SELECT * FROM TABLE(IYEARLIST))
      ;
      END GETDATA ;
    END TEST ;
    /

    I want to perform this procedure from the sql or sql developer more to see if it works properly.   The year field dbTest.FORMATTED_HTML is defined as varchar2 (20 bytes).  He has many years as well as text.

    I've used this in the past with simple stored procedures, but not those with a table setting

    var r refcursor;

    exec GETOLDDATA(:r,40);

    print r;

    How can I modify this to allow him to run my stored procedure?

    Thank you

    Just declare SQL, not type of PL/SQL:

    CREATE OR REPLACE

    TYPE Str50TblType

    AS THE TABLE OF THE VARCHAR2 (50)

    /

    CREATE OR REPLACE

    THE TEST PACKAGE

    IS

    GETDATA PROCEDURE)

    P_RECORDS ON SYS_REFCURSOR,

    YEAR_LIST IN Str50TblType

    );

    END;

    /

    CREATE OR REPLACE

    TEST OF PACKAGE BODY

    IS

    GETDATA PROCEDURE)

    P_RECORDS ON SYS_REFCURSOR,

    YEAR_LIST IN Str50TblType

    )

    IS

    BEGIN

    OPEN P_RECORDS

    FOR

    SELECT CITHTML AS FORMATTED

    OF dbTest.FORMATTED_HTML

    WHERE YEAR IN)

    SELECT *.

    TABLE (YEAR_LIST)

    );

    GETDATA END;

    END TEST;

    /

    SY.

    Laurent,

    Thanks for the update - to be able to point the finger at something specific to the environment is always useful.  As noted above, the TaskDialog.showDelayedDialog has been rewritten to 4.0.  In addition, 4.0 requires jdk.1.7, so between the two of them maybe behaviour will improve without the need to limit the way in which the o/s assigns tasks to processors.  It is unclear if a particular flavor of the o/s may be more prone to this condition of StackOverflowError, or maybe just 64 - bit o/s in general.

    Anyway, no matter what output 4.0 comes out, at least we are two weeks closer to her now.

    Thank you

    Gary

  • List of SQL Developer of tables

    Hi gurus,

    I have a question for SQL Developer.
    I have a user like ALPROD but I connect as a SYSTEM.
    Is it possible to see the list of tables owned by the user ALPROD.

    Thank you
    Christian.

    Go to other users (after the trash), expand the tree: you should be able to see ALPROD---> Tables

  • Table of misinterpretation of the SQL Developer Reference

    I use SQL Developer with Oracle 11 g DBMS 2.1.1.64.
    I've noticed recently that even if the DBMS allows you to create a table and a function with the same name, if I try to type a variable % TYPE by using the table, that I have just mentioned, there is a compilation error. For example, there are cancel_tag_range and cancel_tag_range of the table function. Then I do this variable declaration:
    v_current_tag cancel_tag_range.start_tag%TYPE;
    that translates into error "PLS-00225: reference of the subprogram or cursor 'CANCEL_TAG_RANGE' is out of range."
    that is, SQL Developer interprets as a reference to the function, not the table.
    It seems to me that the SQL Developer should know how to handle this. After all, the DBMS let me name 2 objects the same - which I think should be a problem because they are different object types - one is an array and the other a function. In addition, the context of the statement should specify that the table is referenced.
    Why does this happen? And there at - there no way to get around this other than rename one of these objects? Thank you.

    SQLDeveloper use the PL/SQL compiler in the DBMS so the error comes from the DBMS. You'll have to rename it, I suspect.

  • Open several tabs of table in SQL Developer

    Oracle 10 g 2, SQL Developer 2.1.1

    I am a user of TOAD long life assesses the possibility to move to SQL Developer to our shop.

    A TOAD, if I want to display multiple tables in a single instance, I open a new "browser pattern" for each table and be able to display the data from the tables by making switch between the tabs of the browser schema.

    In SQL Developer, I am unable to do this. It appears that a single tab to evaluate a table may be open simultaneously. When I try to open another table not on my first tab of the table. I don't know that I do something wrong, as the tool must have this ability.

    Also, is there a tutorial for developers of TOAD who are preparing to the SQL Developer tool?

    Any suggestions / recommendations are welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Preferences - Database - spreadsheet - automatically freeze the tabs of the result, or red pine under the result tabs button themselves.

    Regarding the tutorial, follow the help online inside sqldev.

    WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL 64-BIT.

    I also installed:

    ORACLE XE

    and

    SQL DEVELOPER.

    I have applications that I created in the APEX
    with different paintings.

    ________________________________________

    Question:

    **********************************
    How can I access my APEX tables of
    within SQL DEVELOPER?

    Should what USER name and PASSWORD I use?
    **********************************

    I can do this with
    HUMAN RESOURCES

    SQL DEVELOPER USERNAME = HR
    PASSWORD = HR

    It works very well.
    ..................................................................

    But what of my own TABLES APEX
    I created inside my own workspace
    inside the APEX?

    For example:

    CONNECT TO APEX:

    http://127.0.0.1:8080 / apex /.

    If my

    APEX DAVID_WS = WORKSPACE

    SCHEMA = DAVID_SC

    APEX USERNAME = DAVIDAPEX_UN

    APEX PASSWORD = DAVIDAPEX_PW

    ..............................................................

    LOGIN TO THE ADMIN OF THE APEX:

    http://localhost: 8080/apex/apex_admin

    APEXADMIN USERNAME = DAVIDADMIN_UN

    APEXADMIN PASSWORD = DAVIDADMIN_PW

    ..............................................................

    So, given the 6 above
    NAMES and PASSWORDS above:

    SQL DEVELOPER USERNAME =?

    SQL DEVELOPER = PASSWORD?

    ..............................................................

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    David

    You tables apex are in the schema attached to the workspace of your applications.

  • When you connect, SQL Developer, you use the schema to username and password
  • When you connect using your developer account, you use the Apex workspace account details (but when change the DB using the workspace that it accesses the schema using the schema and password you had linked to the workspace)

    Hope that's clear.

  • Not able to show tables/views to the SQL Developer

    I am a new user of SQL Developer with a new facility. When, in the nav of connections window, I see my db name and a list of items below - tables, views, indexes, etc. Problem is that when I click on "tables", for example, it does not show me a list of tables, even if she acts like he is looking for them. Also, when I use the "Search the database object" function on the Connections tab, nothing is returned, even though I know that I'm looking for a table that exists.

    I thought that perhaps it was not conclusive tnsnames, so I put its location in preferences/base data/advanced.

    I'm sure its something simple...?

    Thank you very much

    EWB

    Is the user, the owner of the tables? If not look under the node other users.

    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • SQL Developer / SQL Loader - copy of tables

    Hello

    I currently work with two copies of a web application, to access the various Oracle environments.
    I can access these two databases by using only the credentials of the web application. These credentials allow CRUD operations, but have no permission to import/export.

    I tried to copy data between identical tables in the database. Given the restrictive permission set I was advised to use SQL Loader. I'm also using SQL Developer (cannot have TOAD for licensing reasons, bah!)

    I managed to save the tables I want to go to the source database by using the loader file format, but can't seem to find a way to use them in the destination database. Developer SQL provides a variety of export controls, import only I see associates a xls/csv format. There are other migration assistants provided with SQL Developer, but they don't seem to want to cling to my connection settings (import/export authorizations given, once again, I think).

    Developer SQL provides the facility to import ldr files?

    Thank you
    Jim

    No GUI, just the \bin\sqlldr.exe on the server...

    Have fun
    K.

  • Some tables cannot be queried in SQL Developer

    Hello

    When I try to query tables in rows of SQL Developer 0 are returned, when I use the same query in PL/SQL developer, that all rows are returned. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what can do to solve this problem? For these two tools I use username and password applications. Here are the details of the SQL Developer I use.

    CV Version inside Oracle SQL Developer (client only)
    Java (TM) Platform 1.5.0_06
    Oracle IDE 1.5.1.54.40
    Support versioning 1.5.1.54.40

    Thank you

    The first 2 queries return 0 rows in the two SQL Developer & PL/SQL Developer

    Select userenv ('LANG') of double
    SQL DEV
    RESULT: GB

    PL/SQL
    RESULT: WE

    This is the reason why you have not found the exit. Because your view is expected the lang to be US and GB not. Please change.

    And how to do it?

    Go to your SQL Developer NLS settings (Tools > Preferences > Database > NLS settings)
    And change it to the language = AMERICAN and territory = AMERICA.

  • How to add a column to a specific location within a table using Sql developer.

    Hello

    I need to add a column to a table in a specific location, how to proceed?
    I tried following
    clicked on a right-> Edit table then I got a screen with all the columns in the table
    where move column up and down column options are disabled.
    can someone help me with this.

    Thank you
    Harry

    Its not supported. In the database to insert a column in a specific location, you must re-create the table and SQL Developer team have, decided quite rightly, it is a step away.

    Remember in connection with the database column order is not serious.
