((Password of SQL DEVELOPER user name? -access TABLES APEX))

How do you get tables APEX SQL DEVELOPER?

What should I use as a name of USER and PASSWORD
inside SQL DEVELOPER?
____________________________________________

Hello

I installed on my APEX machine.

WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL 64-BIT.

I also installed:

ORACLE XE

and

SQL DEVELOPER.

I have applications that I created in the APEX
with different paintings.

________________________________________

Question:

**********************************
How can I access my APEX tables of
within SQL DEVELOPER?

Should what USER name and PASSWORD I use?
**********************************

I can do this with
HUMAN RESOURCES

SQL DEVELOPER USERNAME = HR
PASSWORD = HR

It works very well.
..................................................................

But what of my own TABLES APEX
I created inside my own workspace
inside the APEX?

For example:

CONNECT TO APEX:

http://127.0.0.1:8080 / apex /.

If my

APEX DAVID_WS = WORKSPACE

SCHEMA = DAVID_SC

APEX USERNAME = DAVIDAPEX_UN

APEX PASSWORD = DAVIDAPEX_PW

..............................................................

LOGIN TO THE ADMIN OF THE APEX:

http://localhost: 8080/apex/apex_admin

APEXADMIN USERNAME = DAVIDADMIN_UN

APEXADMIN PASSWORD = DAVIDADMIN_PW

..............................................................

So, given the 6 above
NAMES and PASSWORDS above:

SQL DEVELOPER USERNAME =?

SQL DEVELOPER = PASSWORD?

..............................................................

Thanks a lot for your help!

David

You tables apex are in the schema attached to the workspace of your applications.

  • When you connect, SQL Developer, you use the schema to username and password
  • When you connect using your developer account, you use the Apex workspace account details (but when change the DB using the workspace that it accesses the schema using the schema and password you had linked to the workspace)

    Hope that's clear.

    • Firefox saves my password but not my user name

      I am a web developer and the Web site I built requires the user to connect to access. Once the user connects, he is invited to make firefox remember their powers as usual. If they say yes, it creates a record in the saved passwords section (Tools > options > Security > passwords saved), but the user name field is empty. If you click on view the past the password is saved with the URL... just no user name.

      This site uses SSL if it matters. Any ideas?

      Apparently, the user name field was a strange type of entry set up which was the cause of the problem. I've updated the text and it will now save correctly.

      Hello

      Same is the case with the sequence that he was with the table. Synonym EXPENSEREPORT_SEQ. NEXTVAL isn't in the same schema from which you run the statement. If you give the privilege object SELECT the sequence EXPENSEREPORT_SEQ. NEXTVAL to your new user for the execution of this statement.

    • SQL Developer 2.1 (filtered) tables

      Just downloaded SQL Developer 2.1 and try to use it. Have been using SQL Developer 1.2. Looks like a major difference - the most immediate is the tables (filtered) to jump on me. I looked at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/NewFeatureList21.htm and nothing comes to mind of what he meant.

      So, that means Tables (filtered) mean? That means the green round thing on the procedures and functions mean?

      Can someone point me to documentation / white paper any?

      Thank you

      -andy-

      Right-click on the node and you will see "apply the filter...". ». Inside of this dialog box, you get a 'Help' button which leads you directly to the help topic.
      As the Green thing, it is probably a bug in the Green Lady, which means that you have this code compiled for debugging.

      Hello

      Yes, you can import from the database - use "file > import > data dictionary" menu option. You can import the following databases:
      -Oracle 9,10,11;
      -MS SQL Server - 2000, 2005;
      -IBM DB2 - for OS/390 and LUW (Linux, Unix, and Windows) - 7.8
      -a database using the JDBC/ODBC bridge - results depends on the implementation of ODBC drivers, used.

      Data modeling Oracle comes with drivers for the Oracle database. Please read the release notes to see how to extract and add drivers from IBM and Microsoft http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/releasenotes525.htm

    • Access PC after startup, password no longer works. "The user name or password is incorrect" message appears.

      My friend has an e-machine (8 months) with Vista Home Basic. She started this morning and typed his password and go: 'the user name or password is incorrect'.  She could not clear the checkpoint.  A few times there was a pause as if he was going to go on the desktop, to finish with 'the user name or password is incorrect'. Regardless of how many times she hit, the results were the same. Everything was fine the night before.  What are his options?
      My brother thinks that his computer may have a virus.

      Hello

      I created several user with the default password even under the user name. They are supposed to change their password. But some of them have not changed their password.

      Now, I want the list of these users of database that has the same password as their user name. How can I find it?

      I'm really grateful if you help me.

      Thank you
      API

      Oracle stores the password as a hash and the same two passwords will not have same hash value, so there is no way to query on the password. Do you not use profiles?

      All I can think of is to create a small script to connect to the database using various users, you have created with their default passwords and log if the connection succeeded or not. And then you can have a list of all successful connections which means, users who are not the default password changed again.

    • Windows 7 Home Premium - cannot change the user name in the authentication dialog box

      I was hoping someone might be able to answer a question on how to get a computer running Windows 7 Home Premium to display both the username and password fields when attempting to authenticate on another Windows computer.

      Here's the situation: allow us that the leaders and other members of the staff allowed our Organization to establish a VPN connection to our corporate network (via Fortinet Forticlient, for what it's worth.)  Once the VPN connection is established, on the remote computer, the user must be able to access the UNC path to our file (\\servername\share) server.

      Because the remote user has not yet authenticated on the domain Active Directory of business, a dialog box should appear to the user input a user name and password.  Enter the user name (domain\username) and password and share should open, and the user must then be able to access the files in the share.

      I (and several other members of the staff) have been using this method successfully to access files via the VPN connection, and it works very well.  However, it does not work whenever the President of the company will connect to the VPN from his computer at home.

      Whenever the President connects the VPN and attempts to access the UNC path, he reports that the dialog box which appears on his computer at home has only one field for a password; the user name field appears to be on his local user account, and it doesn't have the ability to change.  (I have him asked if there is an option 'use authentication information', and he declares that there is not just a dialog box with a single field, the field of password.)

      The President is running Windows 7 Home Premium on his computer at home, so I thought that the problem could be because he was running this edition of Windows.  However, I have installed VPN client and test the connection on the server share file using the computer of my wife, who is also running Windows 7 Home Premium, and I received the two fields as expected authentication dialog box and has been able to authenticate to the domain successfully and open files from the share with no problems.

      Does anyone have recommendations on what I can try to allow the President to authenticate successfully to our server share?  I am confused, and it is eager to be able to get remote access to files on his home computer.

    • SQL Developer to crash at startup.

      I made several attempts using different versions of SQL Developer and different versions of Java on the machine with Microsoft Windows 8.1 Build Enterprise (x 64) 9600.

      sqldeveloper - 4.0.1.14.48 - no - jre.zip 235,385,812

      sqldeveloper - 4.1.2.20.64 - no - jre.zip 329,066,864

      sqldeveloper - 4.1.2.20.64 - x 64.zip 399,957,535

      sqldeveloper64 - 3.0.04.34 - no - jre.zip 154,645,086

      sqldeveloper64 - 3.2.20.09.87 - no - jre.zip 182,052,469

      sqldeveloper - 4.1.3.20.78 - no - jre.zip 331,401,110

      Example of process:

      (1) files extracted to sqldeveloper - 4.1.2.20.64 - no - jre.zip

      (2) run sqldeveloper

      (3) window appears asking you to JDK home - click 'Browse '.

      (4) access to the Java/jdk1.8.0_65 - click on "select a folder.

      (5) confirm the path with "OK".

      (6) beginning of the program - the start screen flashes on the screen, but for a short period of time (tenths of a second).

      (7) nothing else is happening.

      (8) for execution sqldeveloper again not questions about the JDK. All splash screen (once again just flash).

      (9) in the Manager of tasks (details) I see for about a half second the process 'sqldeveloper64W.exe '.

      I've tried combinations of different JDK and version of the SQL Developer - some versions display warning on the supported Java versions.

      The latest version I managed to run (ignoring warning) 3.2.20.09 has been building hand - 09.87 using java jdk1.8.0_65.

      No luck with all versions 4 +.

      I also tried to collect debugging information as described in http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2012/06/how-to-collect-debug-info-for-oracle-sql-developer/

      First attempt was unsuccessful - screen displayed for the second half and then again in line with command prompt is displayed in the CMD window.

      I tried several times and finally was fast enough to press ctr + pause/break in this short time.

      I tried it with versions 4.1.2.20.64 and 4.1.3.20.78. The latest is here:

      Concerning

      Location of these files can cause problems? It does not prevent SQL Developer 3.2 work.

      Apparently. Director of the company may shed some light on why this is true. In practice, you can try to force the SQL Developer user settings in a local folder that is writable, discutΘ in: problem starting sql developer 4.1.1.19.59

      For convenience, here's an excerpt.  Use your 4.1.3.20.78x64 installation.  Choose a path to a local folder, even one on a flash drive.  Should work.

      Add something like this line to the file sqldeveloper.conf to your installation:

      AddVMOption - Dide.user.dir =

    • How to pass a list as a bind variable in SQL Developer?

      How can I pass a list as a bind variable in SQL Developer?

      The following query in SQL Developer so work I put ": prmRegionID = 2.

      SELECT COUNTRY_ID,
      COUNTRY_NAME
      OF HUMAN RESOURCES. COUNTRY
      WHERE IN REGION_ID (: prmRegionID);

      The problem is that I can't find how to set ": prmRegionID = 2, 3.

      I know that I can replace ": prmRegionID" by a proxy '& prmRegionID '. The above query will work well with"& prmRegionID = 2" and with "& prmRegionID = 2, 3". "

      But with this solution, I lost all the benefit of the use of bound variables (analysis hard against soft parse, possibility of SQL injection, etc.).

      I'm learning how to do this in SQL, as well as the use of UDT in this thread: How to move a list as a bind variable?

      But with this solution, I've lost nice SQL Developer user interface. In SQL developer, it is easy to test a query using the standard binding variable. When we start the application, a pop up asking for a value of the variable binding.

      With the UDT, the interface request always variable binding standard. You have an idea on how I can get a variable string binding (such as 1, 2, 10) in a set of NUMBER or VARCHAR2? This way I would be able to launch a standard query in SQL Developer to test my application.

      Can someone tell me what is the best approach to this?

      Thank you in advance,

      Hi Blais,

      Thank you for trying the SQL and PL/SQL instance before coming here - it was definitely the right approach, and you've got some very good suggestions there. Your needs for a invite only bind to the value in the clause list, I think I have a possible solution. I'll introduce you to a list of characters, so you'll have to tweak it for other types of data. First, add the following to your schema:

      create or replace
      TYPE bind_tab_typ AS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(4000);

      create or replace
      FUNCTION comma_to_table(iv_raw IN VARCHAR2)
      RETURN bind_tab_typ
      PIPELINED
      IS
         ltab_lname dbms_utility.lname_array;
         ln_len     BINARY_INTEGER;
      BEGIN
         dbms_utility.comma_to_table(list   => iv_raw
                                    ,tablen => ln_len
                                    ,tab    => ltab_lname);
         FOR i IN 1 .. ln_len LOOP
            PIPE ROW (ltab_lname(i));
         END LOOP;
      END;

      Now you can write a query, say for scott.dept, as follows, and have executed statement ask the value list in the clause as a single binding variable:

      select *
      from dept
      where dname in (
        select * from table( comma_to_table( :BNDS ))
      );

      When you are prompted, provide the list of values separated by a single comma without any extra spaces.

      I don't know if the Varchar2 (4000) really needs to be which is great. I use it because that's what dbms_utility.lname_array uses.

      Kind regards
      Gary

    • import .csv through SQL developer data

      I'm trying to load an Access 2003 table in a database from Oracle 10 g through SQL developer. The access file is located on another system, and there is no ODBC connection between him and the SQL Server.

      What I have done until now is the following:

      (i) export Access table as a comma-delimited text file.
      (II) to open the text file and saved as. CSV;
      (III) on SQL developer - created a table that matches the structure of the column in the Access table, original, then right click > import data > I in the data import wizard, click Next.

      After that, the wizard hangs at step 1 and does not allow me to proceed to the second stage. It isn't okay if the SQL * Loader option is checked.

      If anyone could offer some advice on the procedure I applied on it and possible sources of weakness, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I am relatively new to SQL Oracel and not very experienced with databases in general.

      Thank you

      Since it's not native import/export, a better place could be this forum:
