You filled in the blanks - but what information did you use to do this?
Whites must be filled with existing information about a database and a user. The information may point to Oracle 10 g, 10g, 11g, and others, but the database and the user must exist to complete the connection.
As a (future) computer, ask yourself "how this connection information that you are testing are indeed correct and valid. It might be useful to have this discussion here...

Can someone guide me to solve this problem.
No - not in this forum.
This forum is ONLY for questions about Sql Developer.
Please mark the thread ANSWERED and repost it in SQL and PL/SQL forum.
When you repost you will need to provide the DDL for the table you are trying to update.
Some columns have NOT NULL constraints that do NOT allow you to put them to null.

Hello OTN.
I don't understand why my sql query will pass by in the data model of the BI Publisher. I created a new data model, chose the data source and type of Standard SQL = SQL. I tried several databases and all the same error in BI Publisher, but the application works well in TOAD / SQL Developer. So, I think it might be something with my case so I'm tender hand to you to try and let me know if you get the same result as me.
The query is:
SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |)) TO_CHAR(:P_MONTH) | » -'|| (To_char(:P_YEAR), "YYYY-DD-MONTH") - 90, "YYYYMM") as yrmth FROM DUAL
Values of the variable:
: P_MONTH = APRIL
: P_YEAR = 2015
I tried multiple variations and not had much luck. Here are the other options I've tried:
WITH DATES AS
(
Select TO_NUMBER (decode (: P_MONTH, 'JANUARY', '01',))
'FEBRUARY', '02',.
'MARCH', '03'.
'APRIL', '04'
'MAY', '05'.
'JUNE', '06'.
'JULY', '07',.
'AUGUST', '08'.
'SEPTEMBER', '09'.
'OCTOBER', '10',.
'NOVEMBER', '11'.
"DECEMBER", "12."
'01')) as mth_nbr
of the double
)
SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |)) MTH_NBR | » -'|| (TO_CHAR(:P_YEAR), 'DD-MM-YYYY') - 90, "YYYYMM")
OF DATES
SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |: P_MONTH |)) » -'|| ((: P_YEAR, 'MONTH-DD-YYYY')-90, "YYYYMM") as yrmth FROM DUAL
I'm running out of ideas and I don't know why it does not work. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, please let me know. I always mark answers correct and useful in my thread and I appreciate all your help.
Best regards
-Konrad
So I thought to it. It seems that there is a bug/lag between the guest screen that appears when you enter SQL in the data model and parameter values, to at model/value data.
Here's how I solved my problem.
I have created a new data model and first created all my settings required in the data model (including the default values without quotes, i.e. APRIL instead "Of APRIL") and then saved.
Then I stuck my sql query in the data model and when I clicked ok, I entered my string values in the message box with single quotes (i.e. "in APRIL' instead of APRIL)
After entering the values of string with single quotes in the dialog box, I was able to retrieve the columns in the data model and save.
In the data tab, is no longer, I had to enter the values in single quotes, but entered values normally instead, and the code worked.
It seems the box prompted to bind the values of the variables when the SQL text in a data model expects strings to be wrapped in single quotes, but no where else. It's a big headache for me, but I'm glad that I solved it, and I hope this can be of help to other institutions.
See you soon.

SQL Developer at Apex earphone connection - error: invalid resource owner credentials

SQLDeveloper: Version 3.2.20.09

I'm trying to create a connection to a standalone installation Apex listener via SQL Developer to manage the settings of the listener. I start a new connection and after entering the a/PWD, administrator of the listener, I get the following error:
*********************************************************************************************************************************
Failed authentication
"UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE CONNECTION.

So where should I even start to go wrong?
I add a connection as follows:
Login: login
Usename: adminlistener (pwd = adminlistener configured using the command: java-jar apex.war user adminlistener "Listener administrator")
HTTP radio button
Host name: localhost
Port: 8080
Server path: /apex (? don't know what it is or where it points to)
Thanks in advance

You have configured your APEX to support the RESTful Service?
Maybe there is something wrong with you RESTful, could you just start a new configuration of the listener from the apex to the step which asks you to enter the password for user(APEX_LISTENER,APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER) RESTful database, select 3 to skip this step.
Thank you

Error 17002 i/o in Oracle SQL Developer
Hello
I am trying to connect to the database to test using the Oracle SQL developer, but I get the below error
IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection provider code 17002
I used to connect to the test server very well 2 weeks ago (the test server is on a different network and I connect using VPN).
I am able to connect to the database of the Production by the developer Oracle SQL (without VPN) but when I try to connect to the test, I get the error.
I checked the name of the service and the ports and everything is fine and. So, what could be the problem? Is there any change that's happened?

How about instrumenting your code instead? In this way, you have a permanent "debug" function which can be activated when and where necessary - and offers additional performance and treatment measures.
Spend some time creating your own package to record instrumentation data, that you can use in (call for) your code enforcement, is time well spend and well worth it.

The ones I found are valid. How to fix the object?
Any help? Thank you.You must check the packaging STANDARD is valid and owned by SYS. Do the
Next:(1) check the status of the STANDARD package using:
connect sys /.
SQL > SELECT * FROM DBA_OBJECTS WHERE OWNER = 'SYS '.
AND OBJECT_NAME = 'STANDARD ';If you find the status is "DISABLED" then:
SQL > ALTER THE STANDARD PACKAGE COMPILATION;
You will find also a number of other packages 'is not valid.
State. They must ALL be (re) compiled. If you find the STANDARD does not exist then:
Check "$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/standard.sql" exists.
If this file does not exist then:
You probably have not installed PL/SQL.
You must use the Setup program to install PL/SQL.If the file does not exist then:
Make sure your ORACLE_SID is set correctly:
SQL > connect sys /.
SQL > @$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql(2) check that the STANDARD is owned by SYS:
SQL > SELECT * FROM DBA_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_NAME = 'STANDARD ';
If OWNER! = SYS then catproc.sql has not been executed correctly
by SYS. You will have to drop these packets and re-run catproc
as SYS.(3) try to run 'catalog.sql' and 'catproc.sql' at the opening of a spool file
to intercept errors that may have occurred.Look for errors such as:
ORA-00604: an error has occurred at the SQL level 1 recursive
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 2 192 bytes of memory ("pool shared, shared(', ' PROCEDURE$ ', 'KQLS bunch', 'BLOCK the MEM KQLS')
Create or Replace:
*
ORA-06553: PLS-213: STANDARD package is not accessible
Grant execute on STANDARD to the publicORA-04042: procedure, function, package, or package body does not exist
In this case, you need to increase the 'SHARED_POOL_SIZE' in the
"init .ora. Then run back CATALOGUE and CATPROC.
Increase "SHARED_POOL_SIZE" will allocate more resources and
allow scripts to run successfully.Explanation:
============The PL/SQL compiler could not find the STANDARD package in the current
Oracle database. To compile a program, PL/SQL needs package STANDARD.I think that; This is useful to solve your problem.

SQL Developer: Failure-Test failed: IO error: got at least one by a CA read
SQL Developer: Failure-Test failed: IO error: Got minus one since a call to reading
Hello
I'm sorry I know this is probably more frequently asked question, but I have no idea what I should get.
I looked at the error message above to see if I could find a solution, but unfortunately I do not have.
Right let me start with I'm a Total Noob... Well it terms of having to install Oracle 11 g myself.
In my University they welcomed a database and we assigned to a user & pass it's how I was using SQL Developer,.
but since I'm no longer a student at the University. I need to use the Oracle database.
So I downloaded Oracle 11 g Enterprise installed on my laptop that I don't use much.
Name of the database: Christiane
It of the entire facility and seems to have succeeded, I went https://localhost:1158 / em (although not sure why em? what's the deal with that?) I thought that it would be Https://localhost:1158 / Christiane) anyway...
Connected with the user of the System .
Went to users and creates a named user: RUDUHR
Thinking Yes its not work... go my other laptop open SQL Developer.
Connection created with the following settings
Name of con: RK
User: RUDUHR
Pass: TEST
Con type: basic
Role: by default
Hostname: 192.168.0.8
Port: 1158
SID: Christiane
It does not work well, why is that?
192.168.0.8 is portable which oracle 11g installed and running.
I even tried to use SYSTEM user to connect, but same error
also tried to change the SID to em, it made no difference I get the error message status: failure Test failed: IO error: Got minus one since reading call
So are am clueless... LOL I only know how to create tables and stuff not how to set up a database.
and just to let you know that I transfer the port on me correct portable router. It does not work well, why is that?
192.168.0.8 is portable which oracle 11g installed and running. It's because you read the documentation.
1158 is the default port for Enterprise Manager
1521 is the default port for Sqlnet.
Your port number is incorrect.Of course, you can create your tables in EM too.
As by the Forums of the label of the post (first link when you arrive at this page) it is recommended that read the documentation before asking an another Doc issue yet.
