• Why this SQL does not work?

  You are right that this subquery should return other than past rowid thr. But you used the IN clause as well as below:

  where a.rowid in

  What States remove the line if rowid returned by the subquery contains the identifier for the row whose ID was passed. As the inner query is to return another rowid, therefore, no row is deleted.

  To remove duplicate lines, try the query (Replace tablename/columns with your) below:

  DELETE FROM emp A

  WHERE A.ROWID > ALL (SELECT B.ROWID

• reset_image_prefix. SQL does not work

  My DB has two instances with two different versions of the top charge. One is the version 4.1.1 (works well) and I decided to upgrade the other 4.1.1 to 4.2. I created a new location in the httpd.conf file entry in my case of OSH to point to the new instance 4.2 referencing a new Alias image on the server. When I installed APEX 4.2 I showed the images the New Alias directory setting "i42' but it does not work. Applications always refer to is

  I ran the script reset_image_prefix.sql with /i42/ as an input parameter, but the applications are always reference/i /.

  There was a similar discussion in October 2012 and Patrick Wolf wrote on bug # 14785456.

  But the BUG seems to be fixed?

  Hi Carola,

  What exact version of APEX 4.2 do you use? Are you using the latest 4.2.2? Because it includes the hotfix that you referenced. After installation of this version or the patch installed, it will automatically erase all the prefixes image-level asks if they are identical to the current instance image prefix. So in your case, you should set the prefix image back to / i /, install the hotfix and then reset_image_prefix again to set the parameter instance/i42.

  Some background info on reset_image_prefix.sql. Who has never changed the image prefix used in applications, only the prefix of image for our application Builder.

  I'm trying to set up a form which will show only valid data for the current user.
  For example, on a single page I have a list of the employees who report to a Manager and configure an attribute of link on the name of the employee. When the User Manager click on the name of the employee, I want to create a branch to another page which allows the Manager to edit the details of the employee: name, address, education level, etc.
  
  However, whenever I click the link the employee details page arrives, but it a blank form. How can I make this form pre-filled with data from the employee record that was clicked on?

  In the same article with a text link: #USERNAME #, where you enter the name/value pairs, put P13_USERNAME as the name for the point 1 and #USERNAME # in the cell to the right of the value.

• Case change keyboard shortcut does not work in the PL/SQL Editor

  I use the keyboard shortcut CTRL - SHIFT-"quite a bit to change the case of the code. I'm in the latest version of EA and this shortcut does not work for me in the PL/SQL Editor, but still does not work in SQL Editor. You do not know if this is normal or not, but miss me it.

  In a command SET, if the string to the right of the = sign contains spaces, then it must be in quotes: in the case otherwise, only the first group of characters, white space will be affected.
  For example:

  define p_day_sh = &data_sh
  

  If & data_sh has this value:

  then the DEFINE command is

  define p_day_sh = 11-06-2009 06:25:09

  Either eliminate the space, Alex has proposed, or place the chain on the right side of the sign = in double - quote:

  The double quotes will not change the meaning if & data_sh contains no white space.

• Windows Server Update service does not work after the installation of KB2720211

  I have a Server 2008 SP1 32-bit Standard, which had the role of Server Update for the Windows software installed connected to a WSUS upstream server and everything worked, with 17 clients connected to him and get everything their approved patches.  It was a new server starting with WSUS added at this time 1 months ago.  He had to be upgraded to SP2 S2008 which I did and WSUS have continued to function.  After being on SP2, there was another 152 patches to be applied and after that WSUS does not work anymore.  It appears 1 patch that has been applied has been KB2720211 that seems to cause problems for a number of people.

  The problem is that the update service does not start.  An error message comes back that the service has not responded in a timely fashion and I can't find the log files anywhere on what it is.  Here is what has been done so far all that in the same issue:

  1 deleted WSUS and restarted and installed it again.

  2 Remove WSUS and Windows Internal Database, restarted and installed it again (using the download of KB972466).

  2.1 install SQL Management Studio and logged to an internal database SUSDB and checked it is not set to single user (I believe it is set for multiuser name but I'm going from memory)

  3. install the KB2720211.

  4. installation KB2734608

  5 remove WSUS and Windows Internal Database, restarted and installed it again (using the download of KB972466).

  I am looking for any information on how to solve what is the question, because there is nothing in the log files I can find and no event in the windows event viewer.  I am ready to start with the server however if there is something I can look at to possibly solve the problem, please let me know.
