SQL * Net and Auditor job details

Hello

I am aware of SQL * Net and auditor of the concepts.

SQL * Net Treaty of the transmission of data between the client to the server and vice versa.

Listener established the connection between the user and the server process.

I know that on the Oracle server, there are two. ORA files available in the file Admin/network for SQL * Net and the listener.

I am interested in knowing the following things.

(1) in my understanding, process user run the server and not the client.

(2) Please share me the stream used between SQL * Net listener and how the flow occurs.

After the TOAD or SQL * Plus creates connectivity and gets the Session, how they still work.
I understand it, once the connection has been established, even when the listener goes down.
SQL * over the connection to the server remains intact.

Can you please share more fundamental and work know on these two areas, it is not 100% clear to me, thank you.

    Hello

    I have a problem loading data through Php in Oracle: web page of Php open an xml file, create a .csv, then begins to Oracle using an external table to process the data.

    The problem is that, the second time that PHP is trying to run the following query:

    INSERT INTO table1 T (Field1, Field2, field3, field4, sphere5, case field6) VALUES ('Aaa1E63819707', SYSDATE, 'KO', 'error', 'L', 'file_name.xml') POLL INTO Field1: id

    on the Oracle sessions, I have an exclusive lock on table1 and wait for SQL * Net more data from client.

    Where is the problem?

    Thank you

    Finally I found the problem: a DBA changed the cursor sharing EXACT force! I restored the CORRECT setting and now everything is fine.

  • Several alter session and SQL * Net message from dblink in APEX

    Hello

    I have Apex 4.2.3 and I use Glassfish more listener of the Apex.

    Database is 11.2.0.4 under linux

    Looking for the session active database, I see that apex run several alter session with a lot of expectation as SQL * Net message from dblink the.

    Ex:

    Why he is doing a lot to change session? Why the wait is SQL * Net message from dblink the?

    We have recently to load a new language, but I'm not sure that this is the main problem.

    I think that you have the link db in the workspace schema and data requested by the Apex of this link. For example, it may be

    report which uses db link. Check dba_db_links or user_db_links for the existing links. Check if this link used by Apex.

    Hi, Kim.  Thank you for your thoughtful response.  Looks like you've been down this road before and your insight is appreciated.  Follow a few answers/clarification:

    • Open the report - I don't understand the above, but there isn't.  Open (without details) is the default value. Our plan is to implement something similar to what you did; after XX days intact, "resume" and return to a flow of feed.
    • Work situation - this status allows officials to hold the wires in their queue, without worrying about "recovery" we have SLAS in place that limit the duration of that recording can sit in the work, but these SLA is not forced, rather through reports of aging Rep systemattically.  If some representatives sit on the job too long, then they will get a call from their boss. No automatted 'come back' in the case of 'work '.
    • Excellent point on the dependecy necessary to lead State detail for lead status = Enrich.  I make sure to drive retail for committed State.
    • Status of committed - it seems actually a SAL and teams were.  In our version of a report for the pipeline reach and waterfall, anything before Engaged is considered a MQL, suspicious or investigation.  Change in lead to 'Committed' to 'Open' or 'Work' status indicates that it is accepted sales.

    I am happy to know that you (and probably others) rely on status of lead and lead State detail to differentiate what is accepted by sales, and what is simply the collection of dust.  I wasn't sure if there was a better way.  Now, I am more confident in what we do.

    Thank you and have a great Friday.

  • Parsing xml and store the details in the hierarchical tables

    Hi all

    I'm trying to parse a xml code and store the details in the hierarchical tables, however, I am unable to analyze the child attributes of tags and store the details in relational format.

    Oracle - 11.2.0.4 version

    My XML looks like in below:

    <Root>
    <ParentTag name="JobName" attrib1="Text" attrib2="SomeOtherText">
      <ChildTag childAttrib1="SomeValue1" childAttrib2="SomeValue2" />
      <ChildTag childAttrib1="SomeValue3" childAttrib2="SomeValue4" />
      <ChildTag childAttrib1="SomeValue5" childAttrib2="SomeValue6" />

      <OtherChildTag childAttrib1="SomeValue1" childAttrib2="SomeValue2" />
    </ParentTag>
    </Root>

    The table structure is as follows:

    create the table parent_details
    (
    job_id number primary key,
    VARCHAR2 (100) job_name,.
    job_attrib1 varchar2 (100),
    job_attrib2 varchar2 (100)
    );

    create the table child_details
    (
    child_id number primary key,
    number of parent_job_id
    child_attrib1 varchar2 (100),
    child_attrib2 varchar2 (100),
    Constraint fk_child_details foreign key (parent_job_id) refers to parent_details (job_id)
    );

    After analysis, I would expect the data to be stored in the format below:

    Table Name:-
    parent_details
    ID Name     Attribute1  Attribute2
    1  JobName  Text        SomeOtherText

    ChildTable (Store Child Tag details)
    ID Parent ID Attribute1  Attribute2
    1  1         SomeValue1  SomeValue2
    2  1         SomeValue3  SomeValue4
    3  1         SomeValue5  SomeValue6

    I tried following SQL, but it does not work. Please suggest if the same SQL can be improved to get the details in the expected format or should I use another solution.

    select job_details.*
      from test_xml_table t,
           xmltable ('/Root/ParentTag'
                      passing t.col
                      columns
                        job_name varchar2(2000) path '@name',
                        attribute1 varchar2(2000) path '@attrib1',
                        attribute2 varchar2(2000) path '@attrib2',
                        childAttribute1 varchar2(2000) path '/ChildTag/@childAttrib1'
                    ) job_details;

    I'm not forced to have a SQL solution, but would if it can be in SQL.

    Kind regards

    Laureline.

    Well, the XML contains hierarchical data, and SQL is a "dish" of data, so it's up to you to treat lines that are coming out of the flat style and determine how to get that in separate tables.

    Suppose that we have several nodes of ParentTag each containing several nodes of ChildTag...

    Using the 'ordinalite' gives us the line number for this node in the XML file, so that you can identify each parent as well as to say who is the first record of this parent (because it will have a child with the ordinalite 1).

  • Interrupted SQL statement and start several times with several SQL_EXEC_ID

    Hi all

    We meet a strange phenomenon, maybe someone can help.

    We see that sometimes, when our client runs a single statement, implemented Oracle to process the statement with a special SQL_EXEC_ID, but after a while stops and starts processing the statement along with different SQL_EXEC_ID. Then, after a while, it happens again - stop Oracle processes the statement and start from the beginning with the new SQL_EXEC_ID. This happens again and again until we kill all of the other sessions on the database (then it ends).

    What we see exactly: Client executes the statement (sql_id = "2tp7pz6yv87qp"). Monitor us v $ SQL_MONITOR and get this:

    SELECT Sql_id, sql_exec_id, to_char (SQL_EXEC_START, "HH24:MI:SS MON-DD-YYYY) SQL_EXEC_START, status OF V$ SQL_MONITOR where sql_id = '2tp7pz6yv87qp' ORDER BY SQL_EXEC_START DESC;

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777216 28 may 2015 07:19:14 the EXECUTION

    After a while check us again and see this:

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777217 28 may 2015 07:36:17 the EXECUTION

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777216 28 may 2015 07:19:14 FACT

    After a while, we see this:

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777219 28 may 2015 08:09:58 the EXECUTION

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777218 28 may 2015 07:53:37 FACT

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777217 28 may 2015 07:36:17 FACT

    2tp7pz6yv87qp 16777216 28 may 2015 07:19:14 FACT

    and so on — will happen again and again until we kill all of the other sessions in the database.

    When comparing the follow-up of the different SQL_EXEC_IDs SQL reports, we see that each of them did exactly the same job: used the same execution plan, beginning treatment she even read/wrote the same amount of e/s and each of them stopped at the same point during execution. You can see that for each SQL_EXEC_ID execution 'stops' in the middle and never reach the end of the plan. She always stops in the JOIN by HASH and never continue to the next steps in the implementation plan.

    When you look more deeply, we see in V$ ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY always last thing that happens for every SQL_EXEC_ID is HASH JOIN RIGHT OUTER (SQL_PLAN_OPERATION = HASH and SQL_PLAN_OPTIONS = RIGHT OUTER JOIN). Then comes the new SQL_EXEC_ID and it starts to do the same thing as the previous SQL_EXEC_ID did when it was launched.

    Kill all other sessions, run finally ends. We see that the final (successful) SQL_EXEC_ID work and completes his plan to run to completion.

    When executing the same single statement (when it comes to the single session in the database), it ends with a single SQL_EXEC_ID. Its SQL monitoring report looks like the final execution when the phenomenon occurs after killing all other sessions.

    -We checked that the customer executing the query only once. AWR also only shows simple execution of the query.

    -We have reproduced in many different clients (plus SQL, JDBC thin client OIC and DBMS_SCHEDULER job).

    -It has no PARALLEL in the query or table.

    -In this case for different statements (different INSERT-SELECT and MERGE instructions).

    -Version: Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Finally found the root cause of the problem.

    This phenomenon occurs when the cursor of the active query being invalidated. This can occur in several scenarios, in our case, what happens when we work on a single partition (read or write) and perform DDL operations on different partitions of the same or the tables.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1 launch long command DML that affect the single partition

    2. in the course of executing this SQL, do one of the following values in a session different all 1 minute:

    2.1 do the indexes to a different partition unusable: ALTER TABLE X EDIT PARTITION Y UNUSABLE LOCAL INDEX

    2.2 rebuild the unusable index of different partition: ALTER TABLE X EDIT PARTITION Y REBUILD UNUSABLE LOCAL INDEX

    2.3 a partition different truncate

    Support of Oracle we were told that this problem is known and there are several requests for bugs and improvements thereon, for example this one:

    Bug 12905327 : TRUNCATE to an INVALID PARTITION TABLE UNNECESSARILY IMMEDIATELY all THE SLIDERS

    In our case (ETL process), we used to perform all these operations DDL and DML operations long (we work on different partitions in parallel). In order to solve, we have separated these operations to the different phases in our process and don't be DDL and DML operations at the same time more. This solved the problem for us.

  • Wait events, SQL * Net message from client

    Hi all

    I have a doubt about oracle wait events, specifically of "SQL * Net message from client. I've read a lot about this, I've seen some say that network and other material resources can provoke him, and saw that the problems in the application code can cause it too. I am tracking a few tests here and I don't have that chooses are the double event, usually a lot of SQL * Net message to client waiting (I used sqlplus, developer sql and pl/sql). Can someone explain to me why? Another question is where this wait type cause interference, meet it demand for the database and stays on hold and do not meet another request so that the wait is over, is it? The waiting just finish when the application closes the database connection or there is another way to end the waiting?

    Since then, thank you very much.

    Hello

    chooses double what usually causes a lot of SQL * Net message to client waiting

    Do you run them from your server applications or from the DB server itself?

    "SQL * Net client message" is an idle wait event although he'd still explain to the elapsed time of the query.

    It indicates only that the database is waiting for the other entries of the customer and when he expects the DB, those expectations get incremented.

    I suggest you explore size SDU, RECV_BUF_SIZE, and SEND_BUF_SIZE parameters.

    To sum it all up - I have a SQL Server query that retrieves the last my ambulances xy coordinates. I have a Coldfusion page that has a map of the brochure and the cfquery. My question is how to plot coordinates in a flyer plan. I can't understand the middle of the book to get the results of my query in terms of the brochure.

    In addition, it is a dynamic environment. Ambulances are constantly in motion. This page must be dynamic, so that the page can be updated to show the latest data.

    You must create the map and tile layer prior to place markers and then run your loop inside of the script tag.

    I highly recommend reading through the tutorials on the site of the brochure.  They go on these things in detail.

    Hi all

    I have a session that runs longer than usual. Instead of filling in 20 minutes, he was running for about 2 hours.

  • SQL * Net more data from client wait event

    Hi all

    I get two events of high expectation of the AWR report page

    (1) SQL * Net more data from client

    synchronization of log files 2)

    Need advice to the configuration of the hardware and network latency?

    What should I do for the first event of waiting?

    This simple average may, what they're doing massive data loads with a very large table size that the Oracle Server manages very effectively but necessarily expect much coming data of the customer and parallel large log files written to end on the validation.  It is possible that setting a large SDU and tcp large transmiat and receive buffers would help if this happens to be what they do; Similarly, if that's what they do, then reduce their size of table can also have some effect.

    Run you the same Oracle_Home SQL and Server query as the ETL engine? (Want to use the same libraries and host and network such as ETL).

    The large data sets in ETL can be assembled with network optimization. Some of it is on the physical network layer (for example having a dedicated private network or a switched network between the ETL and the DB server), some of them can be found on the configuration settings (arraysize, configuring TCP settings to the OS layer, etc.) or libraries (for example JDBC libraries). Some of them may simply be patches to fix bugs!

  • Wait for the event begins with SQL * Net message from client-time wait 178577 units

    Hello

    I'm watching events waiting for a request from long time in TOAD.
    I start the query on an instance of TOAD, and open the browser to log on to another instance.
    But I am surprised to see that in "TOtal expected" on the RIGHT part->
    SQL * Net message from client is the longest time and is already - > 178577 units while I just to start the query.

    Considering that, in the current waiting she shows DB file scattered read correctly for a few seconds.

    Please suggest.

    Hello. No explanation for this... :-(

    Hello

    people work here, you don't know?
    I think Tom Kyte explains it well enough. This wait event is linked to your session database waiting for the guest to say to do something.

    So it is not related to the database, but to your application.
    Also as it is a wait of session event you might have had your session inactive for some time (do nothing)

    If you want to check the waiting events correctly I suggest using tkprof and start a new session in SQL more as shown by Tom Kyte in the link I posted.

    Then, run your query in sqlplus setting track and pull it out as soon as your statement is completed.
    that is to say:

    -- myest.sql
    alter session set events '10046 trace name context forever, level 12';
    SELECT ... -- your query here
    exit

    Run in sqlplus in this way:

    sqlplus user/password@db @mytest.sql

    Then check with tkprof.

    Kind regards.

  • How to use SQL above and PARTITION BY in OBIEE expression builder?

    Hello
    I want to create a new logical column with the following SQL query.

    AMOUNT (inventory Detail.Qty) OVER(PARTITION BY Inventory Detail.A,Inventory Detail.B,Item.C,Inventory Detail.D,MyDATE) /SUM (Inventory Detail.Qty) ON (PARTITION OF the inventory Detail.A Inventory Detail.B, Item.C)

    How to use OVER and the SCORE OF OBIEE expression builder?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Janet,.
    We cannot use by in the Expression builder (DB). But use the same formula like this in Fx to response

    AMOUNT (inventory Detail.Qty) OVER(PARTITION BY Inventory Detail.A,Inventory Detail.B,Item.C,Inventory Detail.D,MyDATE) /SUM (Inventory Detail.Qty) > (PARTITION OF the inventory Detail.A Inventory Detail.B, Item.C)

    Sum (Inventory Detail.Qty by detail, Item, MyDate) /SUM (qty by detail, item)

    First check the numerator if it worked well or not then go with denominator

    compare the results with sql you have

    Let me know if it works

    Thank you

  • Data type of text is not displayed using SQL Server and ASP/VBScript

    Maybe someone help me with this because I used to use PHP/MySQL, but I use for this a Classic ASP/VBScript and MS SQL Server instance and I don't know that much. The scenario is I have an old site that was designed using html tables and I do a CSS/XHTML update on Visual design. As long as we are here, there are some pages that are dynamic and use a MS Access database and we thought it's a good time to upgrade from MS SQL Server (2005, to be exact). No time/money for bringing classic ASP VBScript in ASP .NET.

    Overall, the upgrade went fairly well, especially just to create a new connection to the DB in SQL Server in Dreamweaver after all the tables and data were migrated to SQL Server. Almost everything works as it should. A problem though.

    For some reason, the data of the data type 'text' in SQL Server is not appear (or sometimes appear). I even tried to recreate the recordsets and binds fresh data and the code is more or less identical to what we had before. Anyone know what's happening, or how I can get this data to show?

    I think that there is perhaps some simple and double quotes in the text data and which could be screwing things up. I was hoping there is only a simple function that I could apply the code, but as I said, I don't know.

    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Your text field should be the last of your select statement, as
    its not stored in the table with the other data, its stored elsewhere,
    as a binary object, should be treated differently. Its common
    the migration of the access problem.

    If you need more of 8000 characters stick with him, otherwise use

  • IPC vs SQL * Net connection

    Hi all

    My database is currently running on windows 2008 EE 10.2.0.4 (with all service packs). On the same machine, I have several workers (implemented as a windows service) written in c# .net using the latest drivers ODP.NET.
    To improve performance, I use PKI connection so that the TCP stack (which is used in the sqlnet connections "regularly") is shorted. I confirmed that ICP is actually currently in use:

    I read the ticket of Taner Poder [http://blog.tanelpoder.com/2008/02/07/sqlnet-message-to-client-wait-gotcha/] about SQNet message to the customer

    to get the best understanding of them.

    The question is why observe specific SQLNet connection is when you use IPC connections?

    I enjoy all the comments.
    Thank you
    Rafal.

    Oh yes - one comment more.

    So that the server process indicate if the wait is over TCP/IP or IPC, he needs to know the mechanism of transport used.

    It is very likely that the wait event is registered by the server process when it is calling its send() data to the client API. As he calls the send(), it records that the current wait state. He has no idea what the underlying code uses as a transport mechanism. In server code and client, the transport layer is one of the lower layers. So earlier in the application code, you don't know what is the actual transport (remember that Oracle also support, or has supported, other layers of communication such as Lu6.2).

    So the application layer, you deal with the transport layer as a bit of a black box. In the Oracle terminology, this is called SQL * Net layer. And may be something that implements the transport layer.

    So, this is why it is dangerous to make assumptions that pending top-level State indicates what a low level wait state is.
