SQL server 2005 sp3 - says no on VC 2.5U4 compatibility matrix - VMware will all simply not to test and publish?

I play a new installation of VC 2.5U4 and provides the DBA SQL 2005 SP3 standard. VMware will not test compatibility SQL 2005 SP3 or are there unresolved issues? Messages to date appear to be mixed with most saying SP3 of SQL is not question.

Updates or VMware response to requests for information from SQL Server 2005 SP3? Given that the SPs are listed separately on the compatibility matrix... it seems not to be supported. VMware would accept a call from support with VC on SQL2005 SP3?

I'm in a similar position, we have installed SQL 2005 with SP3 and it seems to work very well. I just want to know, vmware will support me if I have problems with VCenter?

I have Dell Dimension 8100 with Windows XP Home Edition that has Visual Studio 2005 Express installed that has SQL Server 2005 with her. I had a problem with Windows Update and will prompt to install SQL Server 2005 SP3 KB970892 since October 14,2009. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything first and always kept getting the prompt, then I tried another solution that I got from a forum of symantec. I uninstalled the update again, and then I went into the registry to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Resume REG_DWORD and changed the value decimal from 1 to 0, installed the update and restarted the machine. It worked for the person who posted, but this has not worked for me. I waited a while hoping that Microsoft will come out with a fix for the next monthly update that has not yet happened. If anyone has a solution, please send an email to . • Since SQL SERVER 2005 to Oracle 10.2

SQL Server databases have three types of files:

    *

    Primary data files

The primary data file is the starting point of the database and points to the other files in the database. Each database has a primary data file. The file name extension recommended for primary data files is .mdf.
    *

    Secondary data files

Secondary data files include all files of data, other than the primary data file. Some databases may not have secondary data files, while others have multiple secondary data files. The file name extension recommended for secondary data files is .ndf.
    *

    Log files

Log files hold all the log information used to recover the database. There must be at least one log file for each database, although there may be more than one. The file name extension recommended for log files is .ldf.

    Hi RTsheba,

Your computer is on the field? If so, you probably haven't privileges to download and install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (KB955706)

In most cases, these errors are caused by temporary problems caused by very slight interruptions in communications between the computer to update and the update to download. These questions are usually self-healing. So, before you try the troubleshooting, I suggest you follow the suggestions below.

    Suggestion 1:

Temporarily disable all security software and try to download the update. Follow the steps mentioned below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Allow all security software after downloading and installing the update.

    Windows update General troubleshooting

The following describes how do to stop the services related to the update of Windows, rename system folders, save the associated DLL files and then restart the services mentioned previously. This diagnosis is generally applied to all Windows Update related issues.

    Suggestion 2:

    Stop Windows Update services

    1. click on start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

    2. If you receive a user account control notification simply click on continue.

    3. at the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command.

    net stop wuauserv
    net stop bits

    net stop cryptsvc

4 Please, do not close the command prompt window.

    Proposal 3:

    Rename Windows Update records

    1. at the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:

    2 ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 Catroot2.old

    3 ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

4 Please, do not close the command prompt window.
