  I wonder if there is a feature in SQLDeveloper to export DDL to a schema as a tree of files to the disc as you can see in the Connections window. SO I wish I could say SQLDeveloper export the DDL of a schema in a structure as follows:
  functions/func1.sql
  .....
  Functions/funcn. SQL
  procedures/proc1.sql
  .....
  procedures/procn. SQL
  Packages/pack1header. SQL
  Packages/pack1body. SQL
  .....
  Packages/packnheader. SQL
  Packages/packnbody. SQL
  
  and perhaps also for other objects too. So to be able to associate it to a SVN repository, then I wish I could compare my file hierarchy and to see differences on the drive against the repository SVN & the DB itself.
  
  Is this possible in SQLDeveloper? If this is not the case, if anyone can indicate the steps that must be followed in order to write such a plugin?

  There is nothing of the sort. Many people have asked plenty of time for a better development of file in function, but the response was partial and morose. You could add weights to the request for a vote in the riding of sqldeveloper.

  Develop a plugin that you need to study the SQLDeveloper SDK extension.

• SQL Developer DBA 4.1 Panel is not available

  I am unable to get the DBA browser to display the version 4.1.  1.13 of the section of the documentation says that I should be able to show that the Panel Navigator DBA via View-> options menu s/n, however, for me that the DBA option does not appear as a menu drop-down option.

  I am running SQL dev Version 4.1.0.17 build HAND - 17.29 on ubuntu 14.04 with Java:

  You have a lot of menupoints missing from the view menu, for example. Maker of data, Data Miner, process and test unit. Using Oracle 64-bit on 64-bit JDK8 and SQL Developer 4.1 EA1 on Debian Jessie I never did face the problem like this (nor on the various installations of Windows).

  You have errors on the terminal where you invoked from sqldeveloper, or logging of the component view/Log page?

  You have the same display menu, if you do not import the previous version sqldeveloper preferences? Try to move ~/.sqldeveloper/system4.1.0.17.29 temporarily out of the way and see if you have the full view menu, including menu s/n on a clean boot.

• Migration DB Manager updated and reinstalled the plugin works only half

  Has decided to migrate my db update today to a sql server Manager, we virtualized.  Everything went pretty smooth.  I had to reinstall the plugin due to a new certificate running if after doing all this and reconnected all the plug-in loaded correctly.

  When I go to analyse if I let 'patches and extensions' and 'upgrades' checked the plugin breaks and I have to wait a bit and reactivate it.  If I just scan for 'patches and extensions' it works fine and if I just scan for "upgrades" it breaks.

  My SQL DBA says I can only hit a database and no other connections try to do, but maybe we missed something?

  Someone had a problem like this before?

• Invalid connection with the CytoScape plugin

  I am trying to connect to my server Oracle 11.2 by CytoScape 2.6.3 instance but I get the error ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. I know that my credentials are correct and I have also tried SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON setting to FALSE, but this isn't the problem.
  
  By checking the dba_audit_session table, I see that every attempt is a recording that says:
  
  OS_USERNAME: ssundara
  Username: (null)
  + USERHOST: [My computer name] +.
  
  that seems pretty strange to me... Of course, when I connect through SqlDeveloper using the same credentials, username and os_username fileds are filled in correctly.

  I tried to look for solutions, but I couldn't find an answer. The problem seems to be located in CytoScape Plugin of the Oracle, but I do not know how to solve. Does anyone have an idea?

  A revised version of the Cytoscape plugin (dated April 23, 2013) is now available for download on OTN.

  The only file that has been changed to solve the problem of invalid connection is oraclerdf.jar.

  To solve the problem of invalid connection, just download the zip file, extract files from it and find the new file oraclerdf.jar under JAR subfolder, then replace the old oraclerdf.jar with the new.

  Dimensions is a Configuration tool management - version control. If you have no Dimensions, you don't need the SQL Developer plugin.

• How to grant a user (me) the DBA role?

  I was wondering how you connect to the identifier of the database administrator.
  I've done there is a workspace on apex.oracle.com, and I thought as I did, I would have full access. However, I can't get the identifier of the database administrator. With the identifier of the database administrator, I mean the next screen: connect you to www.apex.oracle.com, go to the workshop of SQL, click utilities, and then click the database. What I see is a screen wonder a user name and password.
  
  All the info I found on the internet always refers to the local host APEX, whereas I only use the online version...
  
  I tried to use admin as username and admin as the password did not work. Even my own credentials do not work. I don't know how to create a user who is granted the DBA role. As far as I know, APEX I am registered as the APEX_PUBLIC_USER. How can I change this to my own account and grant me the role DBA?
  
  All I want is make a backup of the complete basis set, and be able to take a peek. Be able to backup is the most important part for me. I don't want an app, but really all of the backup database: all tables and their columns, with all of their corresponding lines filled with data. Everything.

  You will never access DBA on apex.oracle.com. If you want to export, you will need to use the feature 'generate the DDL', and for your data, you can use the data workshop later. You can export your data from the table to a CSV (one for each table), and then import these data into your own database using a feature of loading data in TOAD sqldeveloper (or APEX).

• SQLDeveloper Database Export broken?

  I'm trying to export the DDL to a particular schema using SQLDeveloper 3.0.04. My only connection to the DBA is like SYS (I don't know password for the schema).
  
  After selecting just the table/index schema, I find SQLDeveloper also exports all owned by SYS. All object types are checked (I want everything in this scheme), but I specify only 'fly over' in the screen objects, the objects of this scheme.
  
  When the export is run, it displays SQL to create ALL_, DBA_, views etc., system packages.

  I still think that SQL Developer 3.0 has a bug.
  I'm trying to save as only 2 packages and with spec and body into a file (something that the Toad's very simple that select 2 pkgs - right click and save as).
  First, SQL Developer allows you to select multiple packages but only extract spec package without package body.
  The only option that allows you to do both use tools - export of database; However, here is that no matter what packages I've selected, SQLDeveloper extracted all the packages in the file. for example I select only 2 packages to be saved in the file PKG1 and PKG2 with spec and body, but the SQL Developer implement all my packages.   Can you give me a reference additional on how to interpret my results as published in the beginning?
  
  For example, what it means, that "elapsed" is 39.02 and CPU is only "4.09"?

  It is a raw response. A good DBA will be able to give the best information:

  Phys. = gets physical
  Cons = Consitent becomes

  It refers the number of blocks of data that is read from the disk (physical reads) or RAM memory (buffer gets / consitent readings).

  If your query to the first block of data. Then it is read from the disk. However depending on parameter multi_block_read_count not just a block will be retrieved from the disk, but more then one, lets assume 16. These 16 blocks are now all in the cache. Usually the application will read consistent, that is, it will take the following blocks also to do what it should do. As the blocks are already in the cache there is no need to look for them again on the hard drive.

  Hi, I installed the SQLDeveloper Version 2.1.0.62 to try things.
  I use the [plugin GeoRaptor | http://sourceforge.net/projects/georaptor/] a lot and I noticed that it does not completely work on this build.
  
  I can view the contents of a spatial table by right-clicking the table name in the Connections tab and selecting 'GeoRaptor-> add to the spatial view. However if I select a spatial table in the sql worksheet and click on the GeoRaptor icon presented the result of geometry column in the data grid, nothing happens. I ran SQLDeveloper in console mode - see error below.

  According to the instructions for Oracle SQL Developer, you must download and install the JDK 1.5 (or 1.6). See downloads for more information.

  My installation on Windows includes a java runtime in... \oracle\sqldeveloper\jre1.6.0_06\jre\.

  Everyone says missing plugin.

  The computer I used has since died (dies the laptop so it can be used but only plugged the battery)... However, I think I still have all the files. I managed to load on my imac old parents (I am in Australia for a bit) and sites loaded there... maybe I'm missing some updates, but I could live with those they are probably minor.

  I also have Adobe CS5 with Dreamweaver - but I started to learn to use it. However if this is useful I have access.

  Can someone help explain to me what is the problem and how to fix it?

• How to remove a Mail plugin without having to open the mail

  I use a particular mail plugin that has been very helpful so far upward. However this plugin has just been updated so that the Mail does not open and I get the error message refers to a problem with the HockeySDK I see that has just installed this plugin. I am waiting to hear the developer about it, but in the meantime I can't use the Mail on my Mac. Because I can not open the Mail I can't delete the whole plugin in the normal way. Is there another way I can remove this plugin in the meantime, until this problem is solved?

  Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!  I see you are having some problems with third party plug-ins that you use with your Mail from Mac app.  I know how it is important to be able to use your communication by e-mail, I'd be happy to help you to get this working again!

  Because I don't know anything about this point the plug-in you use, it is difficult for me to tell you how to uninstall.  I had an idea to get your e-mail application to open, however!  First of all, make sure that you have completely left the Mail (no point below on the platform) app.  Then, hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard and then as you are now, click on the Mail app icon to open it.  Now keep Shift during the charge of the Mail application.  The app needs to stay open for you, then you can remove your plug-in in the usual way you mentioned.
