SQLite break my Installer

Hello

I have a question. I have a project has been upgraded to implement SQLite.

We use a library downloaded from the VI Manager: 1.5.0.41 by drjdpowell SQLite library.

The project works very well as a stand-alone VI in LabVIEW.

But when I try to build my executable I get the following error:

A VI broke during the build to be registered without a block process. Either open the build specification to include the block diagram of that VI or turn on debugging include all the screws block diagrams in the build. Report this error to technical support from National Instruments.

C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\vi.lib\drjdpowell\SQLite Library\SQL Statement\Get column model code.vi

My source code file settings are correct, I think. The project has always worked before we added the SQLite library.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

Here is my source code file parameters and exclusions.

Try the option "remove unused libraries to the project members.   That the code of the model is part of a library, but is never intended to be called actually (it is a VI 'set content' drops code when it is selected in the palette).   If there is a reason that you need this option off, then open the library of SQLIte.lvlib and remove all models.

I delete the library models in the next version.

    Hi again,

    This link here (regarding KB2918614):

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-windows_install/kb2918614-breaks-Windows-Installer-service/3d75a1c2-114a-4241-A527-35b536edc158

partially solves the problem.  I still maintain that if Microsoft really cared, it would provide a free 24/7 real tech support and charge not $295 (CAD) to submit a technical support request problems they create themselves.  Sorry for the tone, I don't want to troll, I'm just mad for having spent the last 6 hours of my life trying to understand why a single redistributable that worked well has stopped working recently.

Thanks to all those who have found the problem with KB2918614

  • Acrobat 9 installs CS4 dvd

Yesterday, I reported a problem with Acrobat.  A users PC crashed a few weeks ago and I have reinstalled CS4 from the original DVD, we bought.  All applications other than Acrobat.  I was instructed to download CS4 on the following site: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html

Then install Acrobat only.  However, when I try to install it, the computer hangs at "Preparing to install..." "The PC is not frozen, I can't get the installer to go forward.  Adobe won't help since it is an earlier version.  All my research online about this issue simply to reveal that other users have the same problem installing Acrobat from DVD - but I can not find someone who has a solution.  If anyone in this forum has found a workaround to get Acrobat 9 installed?

Download Acrobat 9 does not accept my CS4 license.  What I ended up doing was jumping through several hoops to make it work:

Acrobat edited out of the register - no change, still breaks during installation

    Completely uninstall the CS4

Run Adobe CS4 Clean Script - see http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html

Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup program

    Reinstall CS4 including Acrobat

Neither the registry change, Clean Script or Microsoft fix cleaning Installer the problem themselves.  Yet, when I got them all now, Acrobat successfully installed - finally!  I hope that this information spare parts of someone else to invest too many hours to resolve their installation issue.

  • Creative installer of Palm Desktop Cloud - why he hates Adobe software?

There are a few real incompetence to write an installer that can not install if you already have the software of the company.

So I have CS6 for Design and Web and Lightroom 4.x and have been pretty happy with it.

But in August, there was an agreement to try the creative cloud for $19.99 per month.  I bit on the case and installed it.

But realize... I don't need all the DEV tools, nor do I need all the Video tools so $50 per month may be a deal breaking in one year.  You create creative cloud master suites that correspond to some of the suites allowing you to sell or I give up the cloud and I think like a lot of other CS6 will become the de facto standard for years.

    HOWEVER,.

I can cancel my CC this month is you don't put some REAL DEVELOPERS on the installation of the software.

It took me 2 hours, BING, GOOGLE, and uninstalling CS6, Adobe reader, Adobe Player etc to get my first installed creative cloud.

Today I received the message, there was an update on creative cloud Office.  I made the mistake of trying to update.

I have now uninstalled CC Office and Setup is still give me the message of failure with no useful info, he did it to install first.

So I guess I spent several hours the uninstalling and reinstalling the software Adobe cleaning.

What FOOL wrote an installer which will fail if the person did any other software of this company installed.

What FOOL fails to a test computer with a lot of your own software installed to see if it breaks your Installer

What a FOOL out software applications users to uninstall your products whenever he needs an update.

It is a failure of Adobe but any product team for the CC Desktop Manager application.  Time to clean the House and the team has to solve this problem.

Know... The third time I was able to uninstall, clean and reinstall CC... IT will uninstall, clean reinstall CS6 and cancel my CC account and block CC Adobe to my Amex payments.

This is not new... I can read for months and months of people having this problem.   Find the software of Adobe problem has with software Adobe and FIX IT.

That is why the Government should have blocked the sale of Macromedia.  If Adobe has a decent competitor... It's the kind of thing that would cause people to change.

Lack of competition has made it clear Adobe bother fixing bugs of Installer that it should SHOW STOPPER! HOLIDAY CANCEL IT AND FIX.  because Hey where will they go?

Where will I go, CS6 already paid and we are done with Adobe and down, comes the milk cow subscription giant... because the developers of Installer prevented us to use the tools, you have created that are very good, if I do not keep out them for updating a utility that manages them.

    have it installed.

Didn't have to uninstall all the software this time...

And I got a clue where Adobe might have problems.  I think they have an old library that broke the code to access the profiles in Windows.

A run vacuuming for cloud CS6 & Creative.

It lists all the CS6 then CC Apps including CC Desktop... I chose this, but got a:

Message "has been cleaned with errors."

GREAT... even the vacuum is broken!

But unlike other tools tells me where the LOG file is... THE EXCEPTION.

Instead of c:\Users\Tim.Domain\... rest of the path where it was

The error lists c:\Users\Tim~1~DOM\... rest of the path.

Well \Tim~1~DOM is a left on file from a previous profile... which is actually almost empty.  Still error Adobe not used the right profile in error.

So imagine that some other calls also use profile calls exploded. take correct simular profies vs...  INSTALLER BROKE!

Once the vacuum has been run for that Office CC... Then, I was able to download and install the latest version of Adobe.

Code that extracts the wrong profile path will cause problems...

  • My LEGO is flat...

attempt to create LEGO-dust or sort of LEGO explosion.

The brick is made in one minute (see preview screen Center), but when I do the group a cell particle is "flat":

Although 3D, looks like it turns only around an axis... (??)

tried various settings - no hope.

    Someone at - it advice?

Sorry, but the way that you set it to the top will not work.  The 3D groups used as source for the cell particles get flattened, it has always been thus.

By example, if you have 3 circles separated on Z in a 3D group and create a transmitter out of this group, the source of the cells still gets flattened, you don't actually have a particle composed of 3 circles of offset. You get a particle of cells that are flat, but the transmitter can project them in 3D space. For text 3D, if you use the object text 3D (single layer) as the source it will provide no flattened in the transmitter.

That said, there is an "easy way" to do this and hard a way. First of all easy:

    1. set up your "Trade marked building block" in a group and Center it in the group.

2 animate the rotation on two of the chains of the Group (X / Y for example).  I used the behavior of rate with slightly different values.

3 export this output as a movie, and then import it into the movement.

    4. use the film as the source of the issuer. Make sure that the random boot image is checked in the settings of the transmitter.

-You may need to adjust the rotation speed. I used this method to create particles of blood cells in the past and it worked fine.

Pros: Simple configuration works in most cases. Faster and better performance.

Disadvantages: Not true 3D, you must perform a new rendering of the sources of the cell if you need to change the items.

90% of the time that this method will be good enough.

Here's the hard, but it has limits (I'll get to those).

    1. in a new group, create your basic "box" using text in 3D. Using the commands to set layer transformation origin (Center of the world) on XYZ, is visually very well.

    2. based on the Properties tab, move the anchor point for the box originally as well. Check the position of the top, front and one side. You can reduce the opacity to see the grid in 3D.

    3. now, create a new text layer object to be the 'peg '.

    4. use the rotation settings in the appearance tab text to get the ankle facing the correct direction, associated with the box.

    5. move the layer 'peg' in the right position related to the area using the 3D transformation controls.

    6. once in place, select the layer and again move the anchor point toward the center of the world.

You have now two objects which will have all created transformations effectively from the same point. The shared location of anchor is essential to make it work.

    7. Select the first box and create a 3D with that issuer.

8 copy the random start in the control of the cell value. You will need it for each post.

    9. drag the layer peg on the transmitter, which will create a new cell.

    10. glue the random seed value in the box, the cell in peg.

Here is where I would test the basic settings.

IMPORTANT: THE VALUES IN CELL OR CHANGES NECESSARY TO EVERY CELL AND MATCH FOR ALL THE CELLS IN THE TRANSMITTER.

For each cell in the change in the rate of birth to something low (I used 2) so you can see what is happening.  Reading and verification of the animation. If everything is configured correctly (original anchor point points are at 0,0,0 in the values of the world, random seed for the match of cells) that you will have the pegs that stick to the boxes.  If things don't stick you probalby have problems with the anchor positions (they do not match) or values of cells.

Once you have set up the first peg and know that it works, you can add extra pegs by using the previous steps.  Then check that the anchors are centred and correspond to cell values. for each cell in the transmitter.

    So here are the limits.

    • Easy to break delicate installation (but not too bad).
    • If you wish the transmitter to turn cells, they will turn only on a single axis (z).  You can work around that, by linking the rigging the rotation of text object layer together values and then animate these on another axis, as Y.  However, this will affect all cells in the transmitter, so things a still fairly uniform.  To work around this problem, you can duplicate the text layers, create an another particle emitter with a few shifts (birth rate, direction of rotation, speed). When played together, they will look more random.

Again, the most important thing to get this second method works is paired things (anchor points, the layer changes, cell parameters). Knowledge of the rigging/link can help.  FWIW, this configuration can also be much more intensive treatment depending on the purpose of text how he takes and create the number of particles, your mileage may vary (this is why there is the easy way).

    Good luck!

  • Trying to install XP Pro on a separate hard drive with Windows 7 on a different drive__

I am running Windows 7 on my C drive, and I want to install Windows XP Pro on another drive on the same computer. Can I do this? And if so how?

    Hi oldtech69,

It is possible to do. To do this, you will need to install XP on the other disk. It would probably break the installation of Windows 7. After installation of XP insert the Windows 7 disc and boot it. Under 'Install now', you will see repair. Select this option and perform a startup repair. After that you will be probably able to boot on XP installtion. To start the installation of XP, you need to change your BCD. This can be done manually or with third-party tools. Here is a link to another thread that references this tool.

  • Questions on Intel(r) HD Graphics Family

    Hello.

I use a "HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook PC" with the processor "Intel (r) Core i5 - 2450 M CPU @ 2.50 GHz" with 6gig RAM. The number of product is "A6X73UA #ABA" and the serial number is "[Personal Information deleted]". The laptop runs Windows 7 64-bit.

I have a problem with is the graphics card driver. Everywhere I look, device management, automatic detection of Catalyst Control Center, system information, it always says that I use the "Intel(r) HD Graphics Family. I need to know a few things related to the graphics driver.

    1. I think that it is not, but is this laptop fixed or dynamic graphic card settings?

    2. I can't find a driver 'Intel(r) HD Graphics Family' on the Intel Web site driver list and it is barely mentioned on the internet in general. I guess that's a custom driver installation? If yes what is actually being used? I need to download a generic/dedicated driver and switch between the integrated and the credits if that makes sense. Will this work without causing compatibility issues? I have to completely uninstall the HD family?

    3. this graphic card driver has not been updated for a long, long, long time. Download a generic/different driver fix this?

I'm not very tech heavy but can understand with enough internet things to research and dig. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?

Have you bought the laptop configured with switchable graphics. If you did, then only install the driver HP AMD graphics software package. It will install the AMD and Intel graphics drivers.  The first installation will be required to remove all the drivers and then a second facility will be required to install all the drivers and the Catalyst Control Center correctly. Do not install the Intel HD graphics software package separately. If you do it will "break" the installation of the graphics driver AMD.

    3. this graphic card driver has not been updated for a long, long, long time. Download a generic/different driver fix this? No

I'm not very tech heavy but can understand with enough internet things to research and dig. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Use the HP Support Assistant in the screen and Audio and video, video section to see the configuration of your laptop. The following image is of my current loan product HP HP Envy17-3002ea, which has a switchable graphics.

  • What happened to direct downloads?

Since the shift from Adobe in Creative packages following the structure of the creative cloud which now serves, I did all my installation of major releases through direct downloads because I've never been able to get the creative Cloud Desktop application to work with anything other than minor updates.

As always, I'm having the problem once more now, but in the past, I would bypass this problem by using the direct download links. It seems that I can not anymore because Adobe no longer ships their software in simple packages, but rather, to break the installation of several small pouches.

I would ask the Adobe bring back the download links, that this limitation is actually keeps me from the possibility to use the latest and greatest apps CC. It's not my fault I have a crappy internet connection.

I'm not alone in my disappointment with Adobe either. I've seen several posts here on the Adobe Forums on this subject, and there is a lot of anger on this subject in the comments on this page. I hope that Adobe will listen to its customers and restore direct downloads. I know that the new method of splitting the download in small sachets is supposed to solve the problem for those with slow internet, but this is only in theory. In practice, there is really not much difference.

  • Install so that other accounts of Mac users cannot see the software

I just performed a clean update of my MBP to El Capitan. With this new facility, I create for my various activities separate user accounts (designer, programmer, games, etc.). I do this to other activities (particularly the programmer) sandbox as well to reduce clutter and distractions when engaged in an activity or another.

I wish I could install Adobe Creative cloud while at least installed applications are not visible to other users and also ideally CCManager bug in the menu bar is not visible (for other user accounts).

Already tried to pass files to / applications and / library in ~/Applications and ~ / library, changed paths in corresponding plists and re-aliasing files. I continue to rate something, because I break the installation. It's obvious, I suppose, but I think out of the box. Did someone know a way? I missed a FAQ / tutorial for this? No matter what other free thinkers? Any official response?

    Thank you

    Bret

Creative cloud desktop application can only be installed on the main drive, however, you can change the installation path for other applications. Launch creative cloud application, go to preference > creative cloud > Apps and change the installation from there. I hope this helps.

If you don't want icon creative cloud on the menu bar, there are two thing that can help, if it is not running another way is to use: CC help | Uninstall the creative desktop application Cloud

  • CS5 and the operating system upgrade to Windows 10

I have Photoshop CS5 running on Windows 7 X 64. My operating system will be upgraded to Windows 10 in late July, through Windows Update. It will break my installation? I need to block the upgrade?

Permanently disable before even trying! The activation system just don't like the changes made to the system, and most certainly will not work afterwards. A reinstall of the CS5 will probably be necessary anyway.

  • Adobe photoshop 5.5 does not work with Yosemite

When I upgraded my Mac to Yosemite, Adobe photoshop has stopped working. Is there a way to fix this?

Yosemite is known to break CS5 installs, so there are two ways to solve this problem:

Install this Java for OS X 2014-001

    If this fails, reinstall CS5.5

  • GPU acceleration on win8.1pro with gtx770 does not

    Hi all

I have a pc installed with windows 8.1 pro, a GeForce gtx with 4096 MB GDDR5 770, with the last driver installed: 344,48

I am now on 8.1.0 (81) first generation. but I have been using this machine for the first CC first and the problem was the same.

I canoe have the gpu acceleration in first, the only option for video rendering is only the software (it is grayed out and I can't change the option).

    Now, from this adobe link:

http://helpx.Adobe.com/Premiere-Pro/system-requirements.html#Adobe First Pro CC (2014) requirements and languages

    My GPU should be supported.

    Additional features of the pc:

    MB: asus p9x79

    CPU: 4930 k

    RAM: 64 GB

Hardrives: ssd for the system and raid two WDred 4 to 0

My question is, what can I do to identify the problem? What can I do to make it the first to use the gpu.

    Thank you

    Hi all

Thanks for all the help, I wanted to just let you know that I finally got this WORKING! YES!

Long story short, re-installed windows carefully and without even installing the nvidia drivers, it worked...

So what's the problem with all this? Before starting to rant, adobe was not yet a bit in the equation for the problem, so the thumbs for adobe.

As I wrote earlier in another post, the first time I installed this machine, I had some weird problems with windows 8.1, or so I thought that it was because of the new version of windows.

But the real problem came with the various software provided with Asus main-Board of Directors and the corsair cooler.

In win7 you may install without any problem, any software supplied with the material that somehow was supposed to control the overclocking or the speed of the fans, would break windows installation 8. I would like to get some windows TDR errors (this means that sometime that graphics driver would simply stop working and windows, restart attempt he would give me blue screens of death!)

    The solution:

First of all, I've updated the bios from the mother to the last update, it is a process that should be done with caution because of its possible results.

As a side note, after saving all my files, a tedious job because of my 8 TB raid, to do attention updated the bios, because it will define your default settings! It's the only way it could be done, and it's all good.

But if you have your sata raid controller as I do, so you configure a disk raid value, the default value in the bios is IDE! and if you restart your pc with this setting, it will decompose your raid drive! so after updating your bios, your main concern should be immediately enter the bios and put the controller sata in raid mode. I had a few raids destroyed in the past because of this simple adjustment switch, and God chance after that to get it back. It is not impossible, but I never managed to do it... the only thing I could do after that was to recover my data with Testdisk. If you know what testdisk, you know what I mean.

Now, just install windows 8.1 and install only the drivers. If possible, as I did, with the latest downloaded drivers form the manufacturers site.

Then make all windows updates, it takes a while, because there are updates that show only to install after some other updates, an hour of update, download, update, download...

After that you will see, via windows update, you will get the nvidia driver, not later but probably the most recommended by windows and everything should work corectly.

I then downloaded the latest nvidia driver and installed too, but I only installed the driver, select custom installation and uncheck everything except the nvidia driver.

    And now, what's up

I'm a little frustrated that not only support Microsoft, Nvidia or even Adobe, even if adobe has come more closely than others to help me, could you tell me exactly what was wrong with my setup.

I know in the past, but come on! you will need to install an OS to solve problems? Mac OS is not perfect, but it is much closer to what windows 8. You can actually fix things instead of having to reinstall everything.

What happens if all this big it Companies could write a simple software for debugging? You know

rather than ask if I did all the steps to solve a problem, I usually have and that is why I am contact our support for assistance other than that they offer in the troubleshooting guide.

A software that would go and check these simple things, versions of drivers, configurations, windows, registry keys, software versions, IRQ contradictory etc... and then, after having a good report of the situation, offer a good approach to solve the solution.

Well, sorry for the long post, but maybe this will help others in similar situations.

Thanks again to all who helped me.

    See you soon!

  • Apex 4.1 Support & Maintenance strategy

    Hello people,

Our company is acquiring a new Oracle platform for our team to use APEX development - to date the process was a bit long and delayed, although it finally arrived. The original plan involved goes into version 4.0 (our current platform is based on 3.2), however, since 4.1 has been released, meaning there is an ongoing debate internally or not "jump" with 4.1 or stick to the original plan of 4.0. Because patches, fixes and upgrades are not included in our internal support contract (and not the Oracle one!), so the application of patches will have extra charges.

My instinct is to go feet first to 4.1, but some voices is suggesting a more cautious approach by going to the "safer" option of 4.0 (with latest patches applied) - I think this might be a false assumption (4.0 is more stable than 4.1)

    My questions are the following:

    * Is the last version patched 4.0 the most "stable"?
    * Were bugs identified in v4.0 fixed in this generation of patches or delayed some just to address in 4.1?
    * Will be maintained 4.0 or 4.1 will get all the maintenance operations "attention"?
    * Given that the 4.1 is "just out of the gate", is it likely to be a series of fixes in the coming weeks and months?
    * If Yes, is it likely that some of them can be avoided or jumped (or should they be applied completely and sequentially)?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

    Hi Joel,

What I say here should be taken in the context of the fact that I'm not an employee of the Oracle and the answers I give are based solely on my experience and my view.

    Duly noted.

Apex is a little abnormal that he is considered as a feature of the Oracle database, it has a different version and patch cycle to the Oracle database. This is because the current versions of apex can operate in a range of versions of 9.2 11.2 through database. (later versions have 10.2 minimum) In addition, I wouldn't consider 4.1 a patch of output since it includes significant improvements, even if it probably included some bug fixes of 4.0.

I agree - this certainly isn't a version of patch. Looking at the list of new features for 4.1, there are certainly some very useful improvements (level validations line specifically as a table) that would IMO make it interesting (having in mind that we are sitting on 3.2 - look on in envy to everyone on this forum with their plugins and dynamics of the actions!).

The trend that I noticed the Apex releases who's not Oracle version is IE 4.0, 3.2, 4.1 and then followed each pretty quickly with a version of patch IE 4.0 was followed by 4.0.1 a month or two. The only thing with the version of the patch is that while Oracle release the full release on the technet site connected Apex, you need access to Oracle support to obtain just the fix. This is important because if you do not have access to the patch, then you must uninstall and reinstall from 4.0 to 4.0.1. In this case its actually easier to move between the major ie 4.0 to 4.1 because the installation automatically manages the upgrade from any pre-existing main version, including applications.

Hmmm... so, really, if you were to upgrade to 4.1 now, you'd better raise a ticket to get the minimal fix, rather than get the fully connected RTO upgrade version?

Yes, if you have a patch version, IE from 4.0.0 to 4.0.1 is much easier to simply apply the patch rather than install new version full patched. But in your case, you just 3.2. There is no patch which passes from 3.2 to 4.0 or 4.1. You simply apply the complete liberation on your current version. It is because of the internal data base architecture of the Apex and patterns of data that they are in. Apex facility creates several schemas in the database. One of these schemes receives a name that corresponds to the major version of the installation of the Apex, i.e. FLOWS_30200 for Apex 3.2 (I think, haven't checked the exact name). When you upgrade to a major version, the installer simply creates a new scheme with a name that is consistent with the new version of ie FLOWS_40100 for Apex 4.1, and all the related objects, such as synonyms etc get turned at the Apex of objects such as users of the new scheme, applications and copied workspaces to the new schema. The old scheme is left intact and can be restored to if necessary.

Then, when a patch is released, as in 4.1.1. You have two choices to apply it, you can just apply the patch that requires the 4.1.0 is present. You can also apply the 4.1.1 full version, which, if you have an earlier version, IE 3.2 or 4.0, so it can be applied on top without no uninstall. Unfortunately, if 4.1.0 is present, then it will try to use the same pattern and break the installation. That's why you would need to uninstall 4.1.0 before applying a 4.1.1 full version. It will take also allows you to export any Apex objects of the old installation and import them into the new version. (this assumes that the first patch for 4.1 will be 4.1.1)

If you have a support contract, then I would see no problem with the application of the latest version fairly quickly after its release, and after that it goes through the cycle of upgrade dev to test for prod any show stoppers must be flattened. (never really seen any) At the time wherever the first patch is released, you should be ready for this pass upgrade cycle. Unfortunately that you don't seem to have a conventional license so it's not so simple, so it is better to wait for the first version of patch, 4.1 to 4.1.1 I presume. By the previous shape, that I wouldn't expect that it takes too long, maybe a month or two, but don't quote me on that. At this point, an upgrade from 3.2 to 4.1 should be the same effort as 4.0 to 4.1

I have to develop probably slightly. Our database infrastructure is provided by a third party. I think they have a support contract classic with Oracle (as tickets have been raised in the past for the DB), but OUR contract with the third party's separate - it would not just be a case to call your friendly local administrator in the hallway and asking them to apply the latest patch of support - my understanding is that any upgrade , they apply in our name would be a cost (this is why they are basically will not happen!).

Given the situation described above, the choice of installation a bit is a single shot--we probably won't have the opportunity to spend again for a significant period of time. Therefore, I personally prefer to get the new version and is likely to hit a (probably rare and use special cases) bug, that to go to the 'safe' option in the latest version 4.0 (which will probably carry a few bugs still).

    Hi Joel,

If you have a single blow to the upgrade, I would expect that the first version of patch 4.1, which, on past experience, I expect to be released in a few months and go directly to this version. However, I am surprised that your support agreement does not include a certain amount of support from the patch, as keep reasonably current software version is what I consider to be a normal part of any support contract. In addition, application of a patch at the Apex is nowhere near as complicated or risky as a patch of the database complete. In short, it is simply restrict access to the database, make a backup, and then run a SQL script and copy of image files. With the exception of the backup, it should be completed in a few minutes. If these steps involve a substantial cost of your support of the DB, then maybe you should search for new DB support.

    Concerning
    André
