  I know how to create a PDF file in the browser using the < cfdocument > tag, but I want to do is be able to create a PDF to an HTML form when the user submits the form.  So rather than the user submits the form and open a PDF in the browser, the user submits the form and sees a message "Please fill out our form" with a link to download the PDF version on the page.  If they leave the page, the PDF file will remain on the server for us to commect at the end of the investigation period.

  Is this possible?

  Think of it as creating a preview in html page. You view all areas #form # values the user entered into some div tags or table. Just wrap this cfdocument Tags html to generate the pdf file. Use the "filename" attribute to save the PDF to disk. Just be sure to use unique filenames for each submission to avoid overwriting the existing files. However if you save the information of the inquiry to a database, you can also create pdf files on demand rather than save them to disk.

  Been racking my brain all day trying to figure what the hell, I created a PDF document table of contents with hyperlinks to pages of document from FM 9... and now all of a sudden when I save as PDF from the 9 FM my PDF TOC document is not related to the document.  FM 9 help is not very useful.  I use 9 FM, structured.  Help please.

  OK, it is essential that we were looking for.

  It hyperlinks are there in the table of contents, but faulty - they are not pointing to the correct file of source FM/anchor, they obviously don't work in the PDF file either.

  As you build the links in an external application, this would be the place to look for a solution, because the generated links do not have the correct destination information.

  I have a comic book divided in two files have. Each file is a work plan, each page of these files is a layer.

  The two files have been set up the same, and my settings "save under" are the same. When I save pages in PDF file Ai 1, they save to twice the size of PDFs from Ai 2 file.

  Even if I was saving in PDF and uncheck all the extras that cause a larger file, I decreased the size of the files by the trashing of all other pages/layers to save each separately.

  I solved the problem on my system in the following way

  Open Systemsteuerung

  remove the program xxx11 Beta

  Reboot your system and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI works without any problem.

  XXX is a CAD system, it is not allowed to display the manufacturer

  When I run above script cmd prompt it takes up to % rhymed %%d b %%d juxtaposition % (\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\bin\Utility.bat xmlfile.xml - b "C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\import_export\admin@Native Directory").

  It ignores the suite (> c:\xmlfile.log).

  But if I run directly from the cmd as prompt

  \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\bin\Utility.bat xmlfile.xml b "C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\import_export\admin@Native directory" > c:\xmlfile.log

  It is able to generate the log file.

  I use oracle 10g with forms 6i and reports 6i. I need to generate pdf files where clicking on a button, a report must be called and the report should be generated in PDF in the source I've specified (e.g. d:\...). Is - this popssible with forms?   about the report, there is a dedicated forum report. You should post here.
  but the answer to your question is form there has nothing to do with the generation of pdf. You can call the report from the usual.
  In the report, you must define properties such as
  destype to "file."
  desname 'path with file name ".
  desformat in "pdf".

  When you import comments, they appear in the same place as in the original. If the text changed location which is not serious, because they comments are in no way "connected" with the underlying content of the file.

  You need the exact fonts of your colleague, and even in this case, it may not work if they subset fonts in the pdf file. Your best bet is to get your colleague to copy the text for you in a format that you can use, but even in this case, you will need the fonts, pagemaker is rather limited in the fonts that can be used and required a lot of special fonts in order to work.
