SSD as drive working in Photoshop

I have attached a new SSD (samsung laptop SSD 1 TB - USB 3) to my computer and want it to be used as scratch disk by Photoshop, but it does not appear in the mist of the possible "scratch disks" Although it is recognized by my computer. What I have to do something else or is this normal?

Thanks in advance,
Stefan

I found the cause and solution. The App that accompanies the disc does a Journaled formatting in exFat instead of Mac OS.

Thanks for the help.

Stefan.

Although Adobe indicates that you install the application on the main drive, it is possible to change the destination of the installation of creative cloud app preferences. Please note that there will always be shared resources stored on your primary drive.  In addition, temporary files will be created on your main drive during the installation process. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application will remain on the default drive. If you have already installed the application, you must uninstall, change the destination drive, reboot the machine and then install the application.

  • External SSD hard drive not detected by Airport Extreme/Time Capsule

Hello everyone, I have the following problem:

    Framework

-J' bought a 1 TB Samsung SSD 840 EVO internal media.

-He is locked in a case of badges and used as an external hard drive

-J' have an Airport Extreme (5th generation)

    -J' have a Time Capsule (4th Gen)

-My MBP detects the SSD external hard drive when it is connected to the USB port and works fine

    Problem

-I connect the external SSD hard drive to the USB port on both TCapsule and AExtreme, but the HD is not detected directly (USD and with powered hub of USD)

-HD was formatted as OS x journaled Extended

-J' tried smb and cifs via 'connect to server', but does not work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Juan

Unfortuantely, Apple did not update the firmware on the USB key (it is still 2.0) port on their routers for a number of years.  As a result, new USB 3.0 drives may or may not work with airports.

Yes, we know that USB 3.0 is supposed to be backward compatible with USB 2.0 in theory, but theory does not always work in practice.

If your drive is formatted as Mac OS extended (journaled)... also called HFS +... .and you have tried the drive with and without a USB hub powered and the reader will not be displayed with you check using the AirPort Utility disks tab... then you have one of a number of readers who do not work with routers from the airport.

I just checked a new LaCie USB 3.0 drive I have here. It works perfectly with a Mac, but it appears not at all when I connect it to the USB port or a powered new AirPort Extreme or new Time Capsule directly, or by using a USB hub.

  • Satellite L50 - A-1 DG - with the new SSD HARD drive replacement

    Satellite L50 - A - 1 DG

I would put my SSD in the PC and install win7 on it. But it does not work.

I try to put the SSD into the DVD rom adapter. It can not been recognized in the bios.

I tried to replace the SSD hard drive. Then the pc cannot start up. And I can't get into the bios or adjustment.

    Someone knows what's the problem?

    > I try to put the SSD into the DVD rom adapter. It can not been recognized in the bios.

This does not work with all models of laptops.
As far as I know that the laptop must support Slim Select Bay and the BIOS should also support this hardware option. But in your case, it doesn t.

One possible solution is the use of SOLID-STATE drive instead of the HARD disk.

You said that you are not able to access the BIOS after these updates.
Well, before you do this (a SSD drive connection) you should access the BIOS and must disable secure boot and must set the start mode MSC mode.

    The comments appreciated.

SSD upgrade will improve the time of startup and overall performance drastically than anything else. SSD boot drive is an excellent choice. Use tools of cloning the SSD manufacturer (from their website) or other free tools available, to migrate the OS.

Download, run this tool to know the SATA HDD type:
    https://www.Piriform.com/Speccy

SSD now on the market is of SATA3 (6Gbps), it'll work in your laptop your model SATA connector to be I, II or III. They are compatible with reverse.

  • Replace T420s with a new SSD HARD drive

    Hello

I wonderd if it is possible to replace with a new SSD HARD drive, while putting the HARD drive in the Bay of Ultra-slot.

And if so, what SSD model should I buy, and how do I transfer the operating system and the data for the SSD?

This SSD model will be compatible?

Corsair neutron Series 120 GB SSD Sata III MLC 2.5 inches Retail

    Thank you very much

    Guy

Yes, what you are proposing is quite feasible. You will need an adapter Ultabay to organize your HARD drive in the Ultrabay housing on your system. These are available from Lenovo, but are relatively expensive. You can get a much less expensive (~ $ 10) a compatible version on eBay. It is not as well finished as the real issue, but it works well.

The best way to transfer everything on your SSD is "clone" of your HARD disk using a software as Acronis True Image. If your current HARD drive is made by Western Digital or Seagate you can get a free copy of Acronis on their Web site. Put the SSD in the SATA drive Bay and the HARD disk in the UtlraBay. Set the T520 to start from the Ultrabay, install/run Acronis here and make a clone for the SSD. Then boot from the SSD and you'll be all set.

With respect to the SSD, many people here have had good success with Crucial M4, 520 Intel and Samsung 830. I guess that Corsair works perfectly as well, but I didn't know all messages from people here who have done so.

Before ordering a SSD confirm if the HARD drive is 7 mm or 9.5 mm thick. Then order the same thickness SSD. This way, you will be able to use the metal rails caddy and rubber who now hold your HARD drive to contain the SSD.

  • Can I install SSD hard drive in the version of Windows XP Media Center 2002.

    Original title: ssd hard drives

I have a Sony desktop running Windows XP Media Center version 2002. I am thinging about buying an SSD hard drive. I was wondering if it will work

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for the question to Microsoft Community. I'll give my best to help you.

From your problem description, I understand you want to find out if the SSD is supported in the version of Windows XP Media Center 2002.

What is the model number of the computer?

Windows Media center supports the SSDS. However, when buying, check with the manufacturer if the hard drive is compatible with Windows Media Center operating system in 2002.

  • Slow startup of Windows 7 on a new PC with SSD system drive, help me... !

    Search for patches:

Install if it is not present.

    See also: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/10130.root-causes-for-slow-boots-and-logons-sbsl.aspx

I installed the same SSD on my PC, and it loads so fast with windows 7 colorful circles which converge at the Center as Windows loads can converge even before my windows opens.  I have not installed the SSD from zero tho.  I used the Wizard software to copy my drive on the SSD.  Everything worked fine, so I don't know what to think.  All I can say is that if you get that SSD is working properly, you will drool at the speed if you're used to HARD disks. :)

  • Can I replace the SSD HARD drive in my sve15123cv

    Hello

I use sve15123cv, I want to replace the SSD HARD drive. Is this possible?

    Which SSD is good?

    Hi zunnun,.

Thank you for visiting the Sony community!

It is possible, but we cannot guarantee that it will work without any problem. You need to consider certain things such as the specification of the HARD drive, thickness or dimension of the SSD that you plan to install first. Your Vaio SVE15123CV is a non American model. Unfortunately, we do not have full details and specifications of your machine. However, you can coordinate with the Sony support based on your location or where you bought the device.

For further assistance about your concern, please contact the representative offices of offices/Sony Sony nearest your place of residence in the Asia-Pacific region http://www.sony-asia.com/countryselector.html?hpid=countryselector:AsiaPacific. Due to the proximity, they are in a better position to respond to your questions or concerns.

    Hope the link helps.

At work, my photoshop CS6 is printing so slow, it takes up to 1 minute to produce printing. We have a printer Canon Imagepress C700. What can be the problem? Help please, anyone!

Tells us that the problem is in the printer itself or the printer driver - because Photoshop and InDesign do not share any code to print (they don't use even the same APIs to print).

    Hi Giovannivolonte

Photoshop requires zero disk to store temporary data. N ' matter how much RAM you have Photoshop will write the data of Temp.

You can change the location of the disk scrarch on an external hard drive if you have limited the amount of space on the main drive.

Or you can use regular disk cleanup utilities to free up the space occupied by the data of temperature for all programs

Photoshop CS5: Shots of the menu bar on cintiq 21ux I work with photoshop cs5 on a Wacom Cintiq 21 ux and it has always worked great. But all of a sudden the documents, I work in a wink from the above menu bar and I can't go back there. It covers only 2/3 of the cintiq. I installed the drivers from the wacom and installed photoshop again, but the problem is not resolved. It's very frustrating because it is almost impossible to work this way. I hope you can help me. I have Yosemite on the iMac, and it worked correctly. The problem occurred suddenly. I reinstalled the driver for the Tablet and photoshop cs5, but it does not solve the issue. I have a multiple display set in place. All other applications work fine (corel painter, illustrator, indesign). It's almost as if there is an invisible magnetic line on the screen where align with the document and the other tabs in the workspace. Now, I bought and installed cs6 and the problem is still there. Can you give some advice? Is this a known issue? I don't know if it ' s a problem caused by Wacom, Photoshop or Apple. Help, please. Thank you.Schermafbeelding 2015-03-16 om 21.07.50 (2).png

Yes, the PSE supports tablets, although not as good as PS does. Sure you have the latest version of the driver for the Tablet? What happens when you try to use it in PSE?

  • SSD hard drive in 30 x possible?

    Hello

I have two questions about the installation of a hard drive SSD in my ThinkPad X 30 (2672) with Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3. Help, please.

    (1) the X 30 specification says "ATA Bus Interface". I read that the SATA drives will only work. How can this be fixed?

    (2) I don't need to record what anyone from the old drive, so I can just take it out, insert the SSD drive, launch and reinstall XP? Or what I need to make adjustments in the BIOS or elswere?

    Thanks in advance!

    Nils Ostergren, Stockholm, Sweden.

    (1) you will need an SSD with an ATA/IDE interface. It is rare and relatively expensive, so it may not be worth the cost. Here is an example of an SSD that should work: Transcend 2.5 inch Solid State Drive TS32GPSD320

    (2) I don't know if you have to do anything to the X 30 BIOS. However XP does not provide good support for the SSD if you must run at least something like SSD Tweaker
