SSD in the expansion of predator easyswap Bay

Is it possible to put an SSD in a 2.5 "to 3.5" SSD & Sata HDD Converter and use it in expansion of easyswap Bay of a predator G3620 running windows 8?

And if so, what settings should I change?

I got a private message to this essentially telling me that the answer is no you can use HARD Drive Converter in the expansion Bay. Which is a shame as I wanted to use the hard drive of my laptop.

    Hi Daryl,

Bay expansion is actually a 5.25 "which is usually used for an additional optical drive.  However, you can use this Bay for one SSD or an additional hard drive using a 5.25 "to 3.5" adapter Bay or a 5.25 "to 2.5" Bay adapter.

The e9280t of the firm also has berries to drive HP Pocket Media and personal media drive both of which as pluggable and portable USB hard drives.  These readers are hard to find at reasonable prices.  You might find them on eBay

  • New installation fails during the expansion of the files Windows 7 Pro

Recently, I built a new computer after my old man died. I installed Windows 7 Pro, I had on the old system. Everything worked well for about a month. Then I started having various errors, some suggesting a memory error. I ran several times using the most comprehensive parameters of memtest and no problem not found. Further inspection, I discovered that a critical system update was applied just before that the problems started. I decided to roll back the change. It does not solve the problem. I tried to do a system repair. That did not work. She only had basic as IE11 and Skype applications. I had also installed the utilities for the motherboard and graphics card. So, I decided to do a clean install. Each time, it fails during the expansion of the files. The error message is, "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupted or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. "Error code: 0 x 80070570." He gets up to 30% each time. I tried to install for a V300 Kingston SSD (120GB). I also tried another SATA II HDD (750 GB) with the same problems. I downloaded a new ISO and tried to install from that. Yet once, it is not at the same point. I noticed that whenever it creates a partition system reserved 100 MB which is almost full. At one point, I got a message saying that there are about 8 000 MB of free space. (I think that was all trying to manually unzip the files by a tip I found online). I found several suggestions for similar problems, but the solutions proposed did not help. I'm sure it will be a simple solution, but I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

If Memtest86 fails then you need to get into the BIOS and set the RAM timing.  Memtest86 + displays the calendar then use the value displayed and compare to the real specs for your memory.  Also, you may need to increase the voltage to the RAM (in BIOS) place a small amount.

As regards the function of Intel EIST, let her enabled for now. Then enable it after installing Windows successfully.

Note: If you are OverClocking or use an automatic overclocking or BIOS power saving features, start by disabling: Intel EIST, Turbo Mode, Cool and pretty and fall back to the speed of stock as a starting point.

Disconnect any other (additional) internal hard drives and external USB devices.
Look for any loose hard drive power or cables SATA, graphics card or other power cables.

    First run Memtest86 +:

Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), so no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

  • Implications of the small size of SSD in the Fusion drive

I saw the comment of the press and opinion, but not much in the way of concrete facts relating to the reduction of Apple to the size of the SSD in its efforts to merge to 24 GB. for example, 9to5Mac made the comment, "apparently somehow, Apple thinks it's acceptable."

My opinion is that Apple is two things: one, a technology company filled some very smart people. And two, very profitable.

I would have a hard time to believe that the bean counters would extend full on a decision like this, however, so I think that for 90% of users, the 24 GB SSD offers the same overall performance did the 128 GB SSD (in the context of the previous configuration of the merger by car). Is anyone able to confirm or deny this? It would affect a short-term purchase decision.

(I'll have to this post in the community of Mac Mini because Apple doesn't have a 'Hardware Mac' community).

    Thank you.

I can't confirm that it's the size using the Apple, but what it means is that at some point, the files must be moved from the SSD to HD more ofter with a size of 24 GB.  In theory, this would mean a slower system.  If it would be noticeable or not I can't comment.

  • Upgrading HP HPE H8-1070uk to SSD using the mirror or new installation?

I bought my H8-1070uk this time last year (Oct 2011) and decided to upgrade with an SSD.

SSD of choice is Samsung 803, 2.5 inches Sata III 6 GB/s, 128 Gb. including the kit of accessories and Norton Ghost.

Can we see problems with this choice for my office?

Important information to take into account for the following questions, it's that I did a restore of complete system only 1 months ago. Recovery system was conducted using disks system recovery DVD created via HP Support Assistant at the time of purchase. I also upgraded from 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM only 1 week ago.

I want the SSD as a boot drive for my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, as well to run my applications of 3D animation; Autodesk Softimage, Autodesk Mudbox and master of Adobe Creative Suite 6 thus than some other apps from day to day. Then use my HARD drive existing as a second car for the media and personal files, etc.

Copy all my personal files (videos, photos, documents, etc.) on a drive external hard, my HARD C: drive partition is currently at 92 GB used space (I imagine that I might be able to find that a bit smaller) and Partition D: 10 GB 11 GB used.

My basic question is what would be the best for my system and for the future, to create a mirror using the Norton Ghost software or do a clean install?

Own Samsung promo videos of the 830 Norton Ghost seems very honest and will create a complete copy of my HDD to the SSD, fair enough.

However do a few minor readings, there seems to be a fair few who suggest that in order to get the best of the SSD is to do a clean install. I don't really know how I would go to this topic but, would it not as simple as the insertion of the SSD, remove the HARD drive temporarily and then start using the system recovery DVD discs to create the clean install?

What would be the recommendation of HP?

Tips, tricks or general recommendations on this process would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, also is there a slot specific SATA, that I should connect the SSD or are they the same?

    Thanks for your time,

    Steve

Many before you have tried mirror/clone the OS for the SSD and ran into problems. A search on this forum or the internet should indicate what has been tried and failed. There seems to be no direct way to do what you want. The method below doesn't require activation and reactivation if you change most of your hardware as would be normally will not happen if you are using Windows with a standard COA key.

It is a completely clean install and will require the installation of the drivers and software HP, if you chose for her, she.

    (1) download and unzip ABR beta for Windows 7. This is the homepage of ABR for Windows Vista. Please follow the section "How to use" for information and instructions on how to use it. These steps also apply to Windows 7. The 'activation' on your original with factory HP OEM Windows installation hard disk backup, backup the backup files in several locations (USB stick, SD card, external hard drive, etc.).

    (2) download your version (the version that has been preinstalled on your HP computer) Windows 7 from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River. Using the built-in Windows 7 CD/DVD burning software, burn the ISO image of Windows 7 downloaded onto a DVD.

    (3) install Windows 7 from your new "Windows 7 disk" to your SSD, following all prompts as needed. Do not enter a product key Windows and do not allow Windows try to scoped. After the windows installation is complete, run ABR 'restoration of activation' to 'install' the previously saved until the product key and the certificate. Verify that Windows is activated, if not activated... repeat "restoration of activation" until Windows 7 is activated.

    Good luck.

mSata differs from SATA, and there SSD that are msata and SATA SSD. You will need to decide how you want yourself. If you want an msata player then it will go into the ports of m you have shown, but if you want a SATA SSD then you connect just like disk main HARD that is there now is also a SATA type.

  • Limit on the expansion of network?

I have 3 AirPort Extreme base stations, 2 are 5th generation and a 3rd generation. I also have an AirPort Express in the mixture. I have a 3rd generation connected to the FiOS router and I consider that it is the "primary" router Initially, it worked. I had 2 Extreme extending by connecting to the 'main' and the Express has been connected to one of the Extreme 2 extension. This morning, an extreme extension 2 has been disconnected. The error was that he was unable to expand the network. I checked the range and it's well within 100 feet of the central station. I checked the network password and that's OK. I unplugged the other extreme, which extends and restarted then that gave the error. This time, he connected very well to the main but when I turned on the other that I had turned off, he started too give the error of not being able to expand the network.

Yes, is there as a limit to how many base stations can connect to one to extend a network?

I checked the range and it's well within 100 feet of the central station.

100 feet is quite far away... even if you have line of sight between the main airport and the airports of their extension. If there are walls on the signal path, get a good signal for extending airport is going to be quite a challenge.

The golden rule for the placement of an airport that will extend wireless is the place to a point that is about halfway between the airport and the area that needs more wireless coverage.  For example, if you need more wireless coverage has a few rooms at the other end of the House, extending airport would be located in between the main airport and the other end of the House.

The reason is that the airport expansion "to extend" the quality and the speed of the signal it receives. If it is located too far from the main airport, then it gets a signal low and slow to expand, so there are few vested benefits.

I had 2 Extreme extending by connecting to the 'main '.

Understand that.  If all goes well, the two extremes are found as they are at equal distance between the main airport and each Extender... And each extension's closest major airport that it is another extension unit.

and the Express has been connected to one of the Extreme 2 extension.

The Express is unable to extend the signal to a device that is already expanding the network. In other words, you can have multiple devices, the expansion of the network, but each extension must connect directly to the main airport... not at another airport that already is the extension of the network.  In your case, the AirPort Express is actually 'join' the network... so it will work for AirPlay or a printer USB remote... but the Express provides no additional wireless signal coverage in this type of installation.

For the moment... try turning off all the... from the 'main' airport and all other airports.

Wait a few seconds and then starts the 'main' airport and run a minute or two

Turn on one of the extreme airport which extend the network and let it run for a minute or two

Assuming that the AirPort Extreme that works you just turned correctly, turn on the other AirPort Extreme

Post back your results, and we are going to discuss options for the Express.

  • How to put a property group in a related curve with the Expansion curve text label

    Hello

I'm working on a graph which trace a WaveFormChannel named 'Test '. Given that I enabled the expansion of the curve, the graph shows all channels named "Test" in the DataPortal. Now, I want to put the value of the property of the "MyGroupProperty" group in the legend, so whenever I add a new group, automatically add the new "Test" signal and show "MyGroupProperty" in the legend.

So far, I tried to use the curve text in the option of the label, with something like this

@GroupPropGet (GroupNumber, "MyGroupProperty") @, but I have to give the value of GroupNumber, and then it shows the same value for all signals. So if I add a new group to the dataportal with a Test string, the legend shows the label of the new signal, but the MyGroupProperty remains the same for all labels

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi dslemusp,

You can use the global 'CGI' variable in a tiara expression to provide the current Index of the traced (even in expansion mode) group.  I've prepared an example that illustrates this and attached it below.

  • The installation of Zoo Tycoon 2 in Windows 7, now I can not install the expansion packs.

Thanks to the person here who has posted the trick to set virtual memory to 2048, I got edition of Zoo Tycoon 2 guards running. Now that I'm trying to add expansion packs, I get the message that I did not install Zoo Tycoon first, and that I need to install it. What?

Before using the virtual memory fix, I found here, I tried to run in XP mode, using the also found instructions here. I wonder if this is the reason why I get the error message, and if so, should I uninstall and reinstall without changing the compatibility mode?

Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I solved my problem by uninstalling Zookeeper Collection, replace and reset maximum memory of 2048.

Once I thought I had installed as an administrator or as the account of my children, I have had no problem by uninstalling Zookeepers Collection and put it back. Install the expansion packs was easy after that.

I'm going to bookmark the Zoo Tycoon Support site for later use. Thank you.

    Hello

Review the #8 message in this thread.  Not all models of the 500 - 2xx Pavilion are provisioned for the SSD in the location as shown.  In the indicated installation, an adapter plate was not necessary.

Most SSD manufacturers have free software migration.  I suggest that you image the entire HD, all partitions even hidden partitions.  Some of the more recent migration software will allow you to exclude your data records.
