  Bay expansion is actually a 5.25 "which is usually used for an additional optical drive.  However, you can use this Bay for one SSD or an additional hard drive using a 5.25 "to 3.5" adapter Bay or a 5.25 "to 2.5" Bay adapter.

At one point, I got a message saying that there are about 8 000 MB of free space. (I think that was all trying to manually unzip the files by a tip I found online).   Many before you have tried mirror/clone the OS for the SSD and ran into problems. A search on this forum or the internet should indicate what has been tried and failed. There seems to be no direct way to do what you want. The method below doesn't require activation and reactivation if you change most of your hardware as would be normally will not happen if you are using Windows with a standard COA key.

  Review the #8 message in this thread.  Not all models of the 500 - 2xx Pavilion are provisioned for the SSD in the location as shown.  In the indicated installation, an adapter plate was not necessary.

  Most SSD manufacturers have free software migration.  I suggest that you image the entire HD, all partitions even hidden partitions.  Some of the more recent migration software will allow you to exclude your data records.
