stand-alone server with ASM & database, oracle HAS service car not start

WE have a standalone oracle and a grid on linux redhat 5. East of version Oracle 11 g 2 and noticed every time server restart, the d.bin process are all gone and has services are not restarted automatically when the server restarts.

How to handle this problem?
Thanks in advance.

DBCA automatically saves the database as an Oracle Restart resource. Restart Oracle should start automatically if it is not disabled.

Check with

crsctl check has

Activate & start

crsctl enable has
crsctl start has

All is documented here:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/restart001.htm

If it does not come to the top automatically (after the node restarted) Although activated - it is perhaps a case for Oracle Support :-)

Kind regards

Using RAW could be the problem. I'm not sure someone who has used Virtual Box with raw disks for their RAC testbed. Most people use ASM. I've seen a few people use NFS as well. You'll also want to stay away raw because that which is frowned upon in 11.2. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e41962/whatsnew.htm#RILIN931

Under the Options deprecated for Oracle RAC 11 g Release 2:

"Installation of files on raw devices is no longer an option available during installation. You must use a shared file system, or using Oracle Automatic Storage Management. »

  • stand-alone server from acs 2008 available software?

I use acs 4.2 on a windows 2003 server sp2 in my current network. The network has been replaced and I'm a software/windows 2008 Server and build the application. I'm a bit confused as too the available software. The acs software only 5.4 I see is for the appliance and vmware. Is this software available for stand-alone servers is not end of life?  Or can I use acs 4.2 on the stand-alone server and update all the way to 5.4. I think they would have a base at one of the levels 5.x package... Any information would be appreciated

    Hello

I would like to inform you about the following things:

1 ACS 5.x cannot be installed on the server of widnows as ACS 4.x

2 ACS 5.x cannot be installed on the vmware (Linux-based) or as a device.

    3 ACS 4.x is a box of windows-based and ACS 5.x is a device based on linux/VMware

    4. you can configure vmware or a device such as a stand alone ACS5.x box.

5 ACS 4.2.1.15 is available up to now and is still not end of life.

    6. you can upgrade the ACS 4.2.0.124 to 4.2.1.15, however it is not compatible with windows 2008 r2 box.

    7. you is impossible to pass the ACS ACS 5.4 4.2, you can buy seprate for ACS 5.4 license and then you can migrate the database from 4.2 to 5.4

  • Stand-alone server installation

    Never noticed THAT before.

    Oracle 5, 64 - bit Linux.

If you install GI 11.2.0.1 (from V17531 - 01.zip) options are the following.  Note "install and Configure Grid Infrastructure fo a stand-alone server.

But if installation 11.2.0.2 or later (for example, p10098816_112020_Linux - x 86 - 64_3of7.zip), the options are the following.  Note that now the only thing for a standalone server is 'configure', not "install and configure".

It seems that if I want to build a new system with 11.2.0.2 (at 11.2.0.4), autonomous, no cluster, I must first install 11.2.0.1 then patch up, despite the fact that these patches are supposed to be "install complete".

Since Oracle Clusterware and Oracle ASM upgrades are always out of updates up to date.

With 11.2, we cannot perform an upgrade on existing homes instead of Oracle Clusterware and Oracle ASM.

I think it's only a "bug" where the word 'Install' is missing.

No matter if installing a new charge or upgrade, will be always new installation will then set up a new or move current config to the new House.

    Hi Fateh,

If I do not Dapex.home in the 'startup script", so that this file exists?

It will be in the directory temp of your users. The actual location of that APEX listener uses belongs to the output of the console at startup.
But I recommend always using the apex.home parameter, then you can be sure where the APEX listener looking for him and that it is not deleted by some 'clean-up '.

Yet, when I create a service for the 'start-up' file, I get the same error:

What account name is the service that is supposed to work? If you do not apex.home , the temp directory will usually be different if you do not use your username. Therefore, you will need a Setup for the account that runs the service.

So, I need to keep the open CMD...

    No, you could (and should) pipe the console output to a log file. See the full command line in the example I posted here: {message identifier: = 9606494}
I think that this is the post you mentioned above...

APEX earpiece not working only not with ORACLE XE (as I know, waiting for patch)
so far I have faced a problem with Interactive reports do not work correctly with Glassfish

There are two points to this inaccurate publication:
1 there is a work around for this problem.
    2. the problem was resolved short after he acknowledged.

There are many users using listener of the APEX with XE here in the forum. I have two bodies, including one with the new 11.2 XE and APEX 4.1, as in your scenario and it works very well.

In general, I think that 4 apex is more stable than the Apex 4.1. Apex 4.1 I am disconnected for reason now... A few times, I click on the header of column in IR and takes time to load the values...

Well, as far as I know, have evolved in the IRs, is not completely improbable that some of these changes could cause new problems. But I guess that you can find answers for this in the forum {forum: id = 137}.

Do you have any suspicion regarding the glass fish? I deployed Apex listener by following the instructions in the documentation. Then click launch. Then it should start to use port 8080, but it did not work...!

Hmmm... You see the page default GlassFish ("GlassFish Server - server running") when you callhttp://: 8080? Port number, it is not the APEX listeners case when you do not use offline...
If you get a result of http://: 8080/apex you could look in the application log in you GlassFish for more information (like in the console in stand-alone mode).

My first guess would be that you do not have confgured the APEX listener you still deployed. It should be noted that the GlassFish does not use the users temp temp directory, but has its own. So to call listenerConfigure after the first deployment or set up a config.dir with an existing apex - config.xml. I would recommend the latter strategy. You should read the article of the Guide of the Installation on the configuration file and how to set its location in the file web.xml or search the forum for this request (common)...

  • Stand-alone application with LabView 7.0 get error cannot find DAQmx clear task.vi

I tried to create a stand alone vi with the Build Application or shared Library (dll) in LabVeiw 7.0

When I put it on another PC to test it I get the error "cannot find DAQmx clear task.vi.

the other PC also has 7.0 and 8.1 DAQmx Labview.

I think my problem is in the source tab, where you are supposed to add dynamic vi and support, I have search the forums and database of nor and have not found a solution.

    Hi LabTech09,

When you run the executable file on the other computer, that's when you get this error?  You have the same exact versions of DAQmx and LabVIEW on both computers?  Is the dialog box allow you to navigate to the clear task.vi DAQmx?  If so, you can find these screws in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\vi.lib\DAQmx\configure\task.llb.  The executable runs on the development computer (the machine, it was compiled on)?

  • The network infrastructure for a stand-alone server or a Cluster Network Infrastructure?

    Hello

I want to install a single instance database and I want to use ASM.

My setup is now just one node but in the future probably it evolve on several nodes.

So, can I use the Network Infrastructure for a Cluster to a single node, or I have to use a stand-alone server network infrastructure?

    Concerning

If you later plan ro use more than one server to install the cluster network infrastructure. It is possible to install on a server.

  • Management Center of firepower of Cisco on the stand-alone server

You can install a management center of firepower of Cisco on a stand-alone server and not a virtual machine?  Here is a guide for the virtual machine:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/security/firepower/60/Quick_Start/m...

but I couldn't find one for a stand-alone server. Or what I can use this procedure for a stand-alone server.

Looks like the only option of will not not with a virtual machine is to get the device itself.

    Thank you

To install on a server bare metal, you could first put ESXi (free version) on it and then run FMC as the virtual machine only on that. I've had clients do this and it works fine.

  • Stand-alone server MOH

Currently we have our server configuration MOH on sr7 CallManager 4.1 (3), which supports about 100 end users. Is it necessary to configure a Windows 2003 server for the Department of HEALTH? We have resorted to a fixed Audio Source, but are now create .wav (music w/advertising) files to use. We have two remote offices. (possible load sharing) Additional ideas on a stand-alone server would be very appreciated. Also, is there documentation for the establishment of a stand-alone server to the Department of HEALTH?

It is co resident if ccm.exe runs with IPVMS, if CCM.exe is NOT running, but only IPVMS it is autonomous

  • VM Converter Standalone can convert a vm running on a standalone ESX 2.5.5 server directly to a stand-alone server ESX 4.1?

Based on documents - VMConverter http://www.VMware.com/PDF/convsa_43_guide.PDF

Destinations and source pages 22-26 - supported

VM Converter Standalone 4.3 v can convert a vm running on a standalone ESX 2.5.5 server directly to a stand-alone server ESX 4.1? It appears that it can in the guide. Is this correct?

VM Converter Standalone cannot convert a power off vm on an ESX 2.5.5 standalone server directly to the ESX Server 4.1 by guide unless the 2.5.5 ESX Server is managed by vCenter 2.5. Is this correct?

Please confirm. There is some contention about this topic with their peers.

    All points will be awarded.

    Thank you.

According to the documentation you can hot covert one ESX 2.5.X, if you manage the ESX with Virtual Center 2.5 or higher server.

If I need to create a TCP on PC server with the network interface has 2 with a different IP address, for example 192... and 172... and the IP address of the client side is 192..., is there something I need to take care.

    Any suggestion, thank you.

No, by default the server listens on all interfaces.

    Hi all.

    I'm working on jdev 11.1.1.5

I created the new module in the application, it works very well in integrated weblogic. But when I am deploying, it is not wrking. When I click on the page, I get the definition of reportinResultVo not found error...

    Why it is happening.any suggeston

    Hello

I also met this thing. But I'm sure, in my case when I create VO, I type the name of the VO. After the creation of the VO, I just rename. Somehow, rename any process is not successful. On the side of jdeveloper, I saw the name.but updated when I checked on the file system, it's always the old name. And that's why the stand-alone server does not receive the view definition. I've created VO again or try to rename according to you.its works for me.check names in your jdev and file system...
