  I am about to install Microsoft SQL server on my server Windows 2012 R2 2014.

  The network consists of three offices of construction, all connected through VPN tunnels.

  There is only one server in each office, all promoted domain controllers servers. (Two servers running Windows 2012 R2 server Std, the first domain controller is running on the Windows 2008 R2 server).

  The installation allows me to have single login in one of the networks of site and access my storage server.

  I have some difficulty during the installation of Microsoft SQL server 2014. It seems that the service will not start.

  I install SQL server by using the domain administrator, such as the local administrator account is deleted due to the promoted feature of DC. Facilities is made from the server that will have the SQL service running.

  Best practices or the settings before installation very appreciated.

  We support no migration of SQL Server 2014, but you should be able to connect. There is a problem around tables in the connection of the navigation tree, but you should be able to execute queries and PROBABLY get a migration project going.

• Service SQL Server 2014 will not start start after the update sp1 (KB3058865, KB3075950, KB3094221)

  Hi, my SQL Server 2014 works very well in my server with WIndows 2012 until I installed the new day & service pack that was required for server hardening.

  I successfully installed SP1 KB 3058865 first, then discovered that the services do not start. After so much research to fix, I came with the 2 cu updates KB3075950, KB3094221 in knowing that it could solve my problem but unfortunately is not.

  I also tried to change the service account that many suggest, but his does not work.

  I tried to replace the master file & maslog but also failed.

  I tried to run etc and unique usermode and restore master db... also failed.

• Question: Is SQL Server 2014 on the roadmap for vSphere?

  one of our clients is planning to implement Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

  Is SQL Server 2014 on the roadmap for VMware vSphere and the Update Manager?

  Or is it possible and supported to run vSphere 5.5 on a Microsoft SQL Server 2014.

  Here you can check what VMware products are supported on what databases: VMware product interoperability Matrices

  MS SQL 2014 is not yet.

  Perhaps the next major release of vSphere will support it. Maybe we'll here on this subject at VMworld?

  So far I would say your client to not migrate databases of vSphere.

  Does it matter which version of Microsoft SQL Server that uses Documaker 12.1 Standard edition and may documaker using the latest version?  Is there a particular version of Microsoft SQL Server that is running better with Documaker?

  Documaker uses ODBC for most SQL connectivity. The application is therefore probably not aware (and indifferent) with the specific version of SQL Server, you have installed.

• Problem installing SQL Server 2014 with the language of the OS

  I installed a new 2012 french windows server essentials.

  Then I tried to install sql server 2014 standard (English version). But, it is not possible. I get the message "this SQL server installation media does not support the language of the operating system, or does not have the SQL Server installation files English version.» Use the correspondent... ».

  Then I tried several solutions provided on different forums on the web. Now my system is set to English (United States), but the message still appears at the beginning of the installation of SQL.

  Any suggestion will be fine... I'm tired of installation problems.
