• Problem with the installation of photoshop - please help!

  I'm trying to donload my copy of photoshop elements 3 on my laptop. I downloaded it and works on my desktop and it's on my laptop before I needed to get a new hard drive. The problem is, whenever I try to open the program after installation, I get this message:

  "Could not complete your request because of missing or no personalization information valid"

  then the program closes.

  I have alread deleted and reinstalled the program several times, but no luck.

  Any ideas on what the issue is, and how I can fix this problem?

  PS I just downloaded on my sister's laptop, that's why I'm trying to work on mine even once, I thought that it would be finally...

  The only reference I found to this error are intended for Windows users, but it seems to point to an authorization number.  I recommend creating a new administrator account and repeat installation under this account.  It seems as if the installation program cannot write the serial number during installation information.  A new administrator account resets permissions so should not encounter the same problem as your current user account.

  I am very familiar with Adobe Photoshop - but I need to pick up something more recent like the CS4 or CS5 Photoshop. I am looking at some old software disabled and ask yourself what are the fundamental differences between Standard Photoshopand Lightroom ? Photoshop has helped in the past - I didn't need something more sophisticated or fancy, but I have the opportunity to pick up an older (but sealed version), Lightroom 4. I was wondering if I should continue to search for Photoshop 4 or 5 and forget Lightroom?

  Try to hold the alt/option key while you restart Lightroom. Make sure that the right catalog file is selected and click on the "integrity test" box to see if there is a problem with the catalog file that might be repaired.

  If you have CC desktop application installed and then try to connect and insert it again.

  Otherwise, install as you did initially.  Download/install the desktop application, connect and install applications subscription.

  Vanessac1111111111 are you able to reopen Photoshop using the steps listed in Creative Cloud help | Launch creative apps Cloud?  If this isn't the case, then I recommend using the steps listed in CC Office lists the applications as "up to date" when the no installation not to reinstall Photoshop.

  Closing or opening Photoshop Lightroom will not affect your photos.  They are still saved on your hard drive without worrying if Photoshop Lightroom is installed or not.

  Try to reset the Photoshop preferences:
