  I bought this software as a package in fall 2014, hoping to be able to run on my XP machine. I was told that I could do this by the seller, that I bought it from Dell.

  They sent the software on their Web based downloaded, called "MyDellLocker", however, I couldn't get the software to install and gave up after I got no help whatsoever from Dell, to solve the problem.

  In this case, I couldn't do it, they said, because I was using Windows browser Explorer 8, which did not support downloading, either, and I could upgrade the browser, to another version, which would have supported the download.

  No other browser would not work. Authorized refunds. I bought it, but even if I couldn't use it, I'm screwed.  Then I continued with older versions, I bought years ago.

  Anyway, I finally made a clean install of Windows 7 this week, and their download software works always, even with own DELL technical support!

  Rembert I had not activated for a year and a half. I bought the first 13 items, including Photoshop and Acrobat.

  So after my installation of mew, which they helped me with, Dell team decided to cling to the trial version and I would turn on that, which I had been told that I couldn't do before. It would have been absurd, and not sure how hard to try, but I was so mad is not to use their software locker, and do not get help in recovering the software only I probably gave up trying other options.

  Here is my current problem.  I am apparently currently not allowed to use the Software Photoshop 13, unless I am connected to Adobe?

  I don't understand, but I suspect that this creative cloud trying to regain what I thought, it was a purchase of products approved in the fall of 2014.

  I was wrong?  My activation keys were worthless?

  Maybe I did something wrong with my installation. Is there another way, I should have done, maybe?

  I like the software, have used it for years, but this makes me very unhappy. I feel that I've been duped, pretty bad.

  I don't even know if I have a license for this software, or if I bought something else.  I have an account, so it can be displayed.

  I saw your Adobe ID (email address) you used to post here and found that you have serial for Photoshop & first elements 13 numbers are recorded.

  Products of elements are not related to the creative cloud, I recommend you to uninstall the Photoshop and Premiere Elements of your machine and do a fresh install from here: Download Photoshop Elements | 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

  Once downloaded consult How to download, install and activate Adobe applications for more information on the installation and activation process.

  When I try to install creative cloud, a CC appears and when I select Apps, there is a rotating wheel non-stop.   "Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.

  first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.

• A problem with the selections of feathers - please help!

  I am currently using Photoshop CS4 Extended.  This problem can be demonstrated by the following workflow (the actual size, I used are not important):
  
  1. open a new file with a white 4 "x 4" @ 400 dpi (use the foreground/background default colors - black and white).
  2. make a new layer (Layer 1) and fill it with black.
  3. a second new layer (Layer 2) and fill it black also.
  4. Select a rectangle in the Center about 2 "x 2".
  5. make layer 1 of the active layer.
  6. choose Select-> modify-> feather 100 pixels.
  7. tap on DELETE.
  8 make the layer 2 of the active layer.
  9. choose Selection-> invert.
  10. press delete.
  11 change the property of the layer 2 layer to multiply.
  
  I expect that the two layers (Layer 2 and layer 1) should be exact with the compliments of the other such that none of the white of the background layer should be visible through the black.  But instead, there is a halo of invisibility in the pen area (see this by disabling the background layer).  Step 11 seems to have no effect.
  
  None of you see this problem too.  What can I do to get an opacity of 100% in both layers of feathers?  Does anyone have an explanation for what is happening and why the unexpected behavior.

  Another thing that is strange is that if you just do a sselection feathers to say a black box, fill it with white and then fill the same selection with black, you get a similar unexpected result.

  Maybe I didn't address it directly, but I did it on a conceptual level: all calculations are multiplicative.

  If a pixel is partially selected, it is multiplicative combined with fill color (X % x 100 + original pixel color - X % x fill color).  To do this, twice, and some vestiges of the fill color of the first filling is part of the original pixel color twice.
