Start/stop Weblogic administration server
HelloI installed Forms 11g in my Pc at home, so it is possible to Start/Stop Weblogic Admin Server and the window which appears, not free to ask me on the user name and password?
I mean like a bat (script) file, enter the user name and password in a text file
If so, also the same in WLS_FORMS?
Thank you.
Hello Apollo,
Yes it is possible, just do this:
Create a file named boot.properties in the DOMAIN_HOME\servers\server_name\security folder
inside the file, add:
username = user
password = VOTRE_MOT_DE_PASSE
the next time you adminServer or weblogic managed server will encrypt this file, and ask not of user and password :)
Concerning

Cannot start the weblogic managed server soa_server1
Hello
I installed 1og SOA on weblogic server 10.3.4 WLS and SOA 11g Release 1 Patch Set 3 on the centos 5.5.
Because I have to learn the BPM.
I configured soa10g_server1 and Server Admin
When I run "startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1", I got the authentication rejected the exception thrown. I know that the password must be correct.
I have check the hosts file

What else could be causing the problem?
I'm so frustrated to configure the weblogic with the SOA 11.3.4Yes, as in my second point.

How to start Flash Media Administration Server and enter Flash Media Administration Console on linux
It's pretty simple in windows.
But how do the 2 steps under linux?
Also, there are still a thing that you can do - if you're not so special by using the Console but wants just the Admin commands to work. You can use the commands Api HTTP Admin place - you will need to configure your Users.xml to allow the HTTP Admin API commands and then read API Admin on how to use it.
I suggest try everything in my previous post and see if it works for you.

IOM server can be started without an administrator of the server running?
We have configured a 11 GR 2 IOM in high availability environment, we set up two nodes and an administrator of the server, the server administrator is running on node 1, If this node fails for hardware problems, we risk not being able to start the node 2 If this does not work too. The question is: can be Server IOM be launched on node 2 without the administrator of the server running?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you and best regards,
You can start servers managed weblogic which is running IOM on even when the administrator of the server is down.
Basically, once there is a managed instance has started successfully (IE with the connection to the server administrator), these details are cached locally to the managed server and it can use that starts when the administration server is not available. This type of startup is called MSI, see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/web.1111/e13708/failures.htm#START162

EPM 11.1.2.3 - weblogic admin server in a distributed env
Hello
We demand the weblogic administration server runs on the server of the Foundation after the configuration in a distributed env.
WebLogic Admin Server boots to a command prompt and not as a service. If weblogic admin server must run continuously, it will be a problem.
Please let me know if someone has created a service for the management server.
No it doesn't have to run after the configuration, if you want to set up as a windows service, there are plenty of instructions on the internet and in the Oracle support.
See you soon

WebLogic Admin server fails to start after reboot
Hi gurus,
WebLogic Admin server starts after a reboot of the server. Note that weblogic has graciously stopped before restarting.
Also note that the following files have been accidentally deleted after reboot (but I don't think that that should cause a problem..):

Caused by: weblogic.management.provider.EditFailedException:
A likely reason may be a few changes in the config.xml file. If you have a previous backup of the config.xml file, then try to replace the config.xml file, and then restart the server.
Another reason for this exception maybe it were completely a few changes to the configuration through the administration Console that were not activated and the server administrator has been restarted. According to this scenario, weblogic will create a dir /pendig and have a config.xml file is created with the changes unchecked.a solution of workaround that you can try to restore the management server:

Administration server and the servers managed (WebLogic Server).
Hello
What are Server Administration and managed servers , I saw these words as I read the installation guide for WebLogic server,
but I don't know what they are?
I saw them while I was reading on the Node manager that allows me to start the above mentioned.
-J' installs the WebLogic to develop applications with oracle reports and forms services.
1 - do I need a node Manager, Administration Server or managed servers?
2. is the Manager nodes, Server Administration or servers managed as EnterPrise data control manager ?
Thank you very much
Answers to most of your questions WLS lie in WLS documentation:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23943_01/Web.1111/e13752/TOC.htm
However, a simple answer to your questions could be summed up as follows.
If you are familiar with older versions of application server version 10, which include OC4J as its Java container, as a managed WLS server is basically the same thing. In the context of WLS, a managed server is responsible for hosting java applications on the server side. For example, Oracle Forms Servlet. The WLS management server is actually a java application deployed on a managed server. So, really, the "Admin" server is a kind of "Managed Server". In a typical installation of forms/States, you will find that at least three 3 managed servers are created automatically for you:
- Server Admin
- WLS_FORMS
- WLS_REPORTS
Node Manager is a separate process that is used to allow the two directors of the WLS environment such as command line allowing the administrator of the server to communicate with other servers managed, local or remote.
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E25178_01/Web.1111/e13740/overview.htm
Then, for simply "run" apply (forms, for example), all you need is the managed server that hosts the forms Servlet. However, if you want to change the configuration via a web interface, you must also run the administration server (and Node Manager).
All these components are much more complex than what I've described here. I would recommend to consider the documentation if you are interested in learning about them. That said, the best way to really learn about them likely will be to install the product and start using it.

I am perfectly aware that I can post this in the wrong group. I posted in the SSO group that this group looks like a ghost with no one around town and not a single thread there...
It is with the intention of integrate OAM with EBS for Single Sign On. (replace 10G SSO)
I installed all the components for the server of the OAM and got the top and the following documents running on
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E40329_01/install.1112/e49521/install.htm#BABLBHBC
When the battery starts, I find that I have to open three separate xTerm windows to start the WebLogic, the NodeManager server and the ManagedWebLogicServer (oam_server1). These windows must remain open until you decide to stop servers.
Is there anyway to start with "nohup" servers so that they run in the background? If someone inadvertently kills the VNC sessions, which means that services that started this particular vnc session is also killed.
There must be another way to get around this... and I'm looking to see if anyone here can help with suggestions.
Thank you

Hello
I installed weblogic 12.1.2.0.0 with RHEL5.6. After installation, I tried to set the class path in a file setDomainEnv.sh under base domain directory,

Cannot start WebLogic managed server
Hello
I have a domain weblogic on a physical machine with two servers (AdminServer and osb_server1 [Managed Server]). (Weblogic 10.3.6)
I started nodeManager and registered the domain by using the command nmEnroll in WLST.
I can start "AdminServer" drawn nmStart ('AdminServer') command. AdminServer start correctly.
However, when I want to start managed server (osb_server1):
1. in the WebLogic administration console, he said:
(Warning) User is not authorized to perform operations of the lifecycle on the server osb_server1.
(Warning) All selected servers are currently in a State that is not compatible with this operation or are not associated with a Node Manager running or you are not authorized to perform the requested action. No action will be taken.
2 using the startManagedWebLogic.cmd script after you have entered the name of user and password, it returns authentication denied.

3 using the nmStart nodeManager command, it complains boot.properties file.
I can connect AdminServer with the same account with no problem.

I think that your managed server is always try to authenticate the user via ldap authentication provider. -
Installation of Weblogic Admin Server as service - service does not start
I'm installing Weblogic Admin Server as Service in Weblogic 10 in a box of Windows 2008 R2.
The service installs successfully, but when I start it, it ceases to immeidately with this error:
"< Service name > service on computer Local started and then stopped." Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, newspaper service and performance alerts. »
Also, sometimes it gives me this error:
"Error 1053: the service did not demand launch or control in a timely.

ENDLOCALThe problem lies in your additions to the script installSvc.cmd
We have for example the following as our middleware-home directory
c:\bea. In this directory, we also installed a JAVA virtual machine say C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20.
When you create a domain (using the config.cmd script) the domain you created
is placed in the c:\bea\user_projects\domain\base_domain directory (assuming that we have
called the base_domain of the field). Now, we must add the following definitions to installSvc.cmd
@rem JAVA_VENDOR and JAVA_HOME are set in the call to commEnv.cmd @rem JAVA_VENDOR is checked in commEnv.cmd to be Oracle or Sun set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20 set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea\user_projects\domains\base_domain set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain @rem i am assuming it is running on localhost set HOST=127.0.0.1 set PORT=7001
In your case, it becomes (just a guess)
@rem use Oracle instead of BEA set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle @rem the location where your JVM is installed set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea10_64\jr @rem if bea10_64 is your middleware home and PA_domain is your domain name set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea10_64\user_projects\domains\PA_domain @rem the rest should be alright set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer set DOMAIN_NAME=PA_domain set HOST=10.0.1.28 set PORT=7001
If you add the following to uninstallSvc.cmd you can uninstall service
set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain

UNIx connector server start/stop procedure
Hello
In the oracle UNIX Connector documentation, it is said
To install the connector on the connector server:
1. stop the connector server.
2 copy the Directory Connector installation media bundle beam connector JAR file in the following directory:
CONNECTOR_SERVER_HOME/packages
3. start the connector server.
I created the above directory in the target UNIX system and copied the org.identityconnectors.genericunix - 1.0.0 directory bundle connector installation media.
But, how to start and stop the server in the system target UNIX?
Can we install the connector on a windows machine server instead?
Thank you
The Java Connector server to unload the treatment or isolate somewhere else. You don't need to install the connector for the connector server although if you do not. It is in the documentation in the installation steps and the differences between Java and .net.
