  In order to create a LabVIEW application on linux without X display, I have respected the LabVIEW VI using the shared library for Linux. I did it by clicking with the right button on construction Specifications and selecting New > Shared Library, and in the section Advanced , check the box labeled embedded version using the runtime engine. At the end of the build process, a message to inform that the build failed with the following message:

  GCC is a compiler C and C++ under Linux.  A simple way to check if it is installed is to open a terminal and type 'gcc', if the command is recognized then the package is already installed, and the problem must lie elsewhere.  If this slot of Linux has a package manager, then it must be posted in here also.  If not then it could point to him being not installed or missing a dependency makes not accessible from the command line.  Here is a link that should hopefully scroll you through installation of gcc with Redhat: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/centos-linux-install-gcc-c-c-compiler/ .

  I already create an empty application in planning using epma. I have load the essbase application in the console of shared services and I can see the essbase application in epma. My problem is how can I use the essbase application to load dimension in planning?

  Hi Hanson,

  One Option would be to be extracted the essbase outline in the text (preferably in Parent child format) through outline Extractor (available on internet) format and then use this file extracts to create the dimension of epma and then load in the planning application.

  Note that iOS signature is only available on Mac. If you're on a Windows machine, you won't see the iOS tab.

  I'm going by the demo of building a Web Application with EJB using JDeveloper11g. The demo lasts great until "Running Java outside of Java EE container Service".
  
  I followed the steps "That runs the Java Service outside Java EE container" exactly as written:
  
  1. now, create a new persistence unit to run the java service outside the Java EE container. Right click on the file META-INF. Persistence.XML and select new Service Java façade in the context menu.
  
  2. in the Java Service façade to create, if necessary, click next to go to the home page. In the class of Service Java Panel, you can choose to create a new persistence unit (in the next panel) or use an existing unit. Select Choose a persistence unit or create one in the next panel and check the generate a checkbox in the main() method.
  
  3. the name of the persistence on the outside unit. Choose the JDBC connection and make sure that the JDBC connection is set to HRConn.
  
  4. all methods should be selected by default. Deselect some of them so that your selection looks like the following image. (Remove the 'byRange' methods)
  
  5. in the source editor window, for the JavaServiceFacade class, add a new line after the / / TODO comment and enter the following statement:
  
  Employees a = javaServiceFacade.queryEmployeesFindByName("P%").get(0);

  When I type the code above:

  I'm not clear on what you're trying to accomplish here. As the previous poster mentioned, if you enable debugging when you build your application, you can remotely connect and probe the block diagram of the executable running. Executables using the runtime engine, but could also access the driver or other time if you use a specialized tools/module box. All this depends on your application.

  Of course, this answer would be the same even if you asked a native application. An application running on the client side can do - an app of this type would require some kind of backend to track everything.

  You must create the accounts Dimension in the library shared of EPMA. Then add this dimension to your applications and in the dimensions of application pane in the Middle, right click on the Member or you want to exclude the hierarchies and choose to exclude members. Please keep in mind that if you do this at the parent level, its descendants will be also excluded. To see the members who are excluded, simply right-click on the dimension itself and choose Show excluded members.

  Hello... IAM trying to build the dimension in contour which is empty using 'dynamic dimension Build' method... is that the error is "outline of the database is empty.
  But every time contour contains one or more dimensions, then I can build another dimensions using the dynamic dimension build method... I doubt that is empty contour allows the dynamic dimension build method...?

  Hello

  FDMEE does not support the metadata of loading an application to planning of a FLAT file source. Metadata are only possible when connecting to source directly (such as EBS and PeopleSoft) systems.

  Instead, use one of Planning available utilities to import metadata.

  You can always load the data via FDMEE.

• Problems with secondary after building the application .exe

  Hi people,

  as I like am a self taught Newbie on LV and TestStand I have some problems with the construction of an exe file.

  I don't know if it is a question of LabVIEW and TestStand, so I posted this question in the two Forums.

  I use the interface simple chart that came with Teststand and added a secondary. TestStand is supposed to open the called VIs dynamically in this secondary.

  I used the code from the tutorial respective http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6278

  Everything works fine until I build the application. The screws are then open in pop-up windows clean AND in high school, but only the popup version is usable.

  I hope that I am too dumb to find the answer and that there will be a quick solution.

  If you have built the exe in LabVIEW 2009 selected in the configuration of your adapter TestStand and LabVIEW 2009 and your screws have been opened and saved in 2009 LV?

  Hi, I'm new to BB development and have the following question. I appreciate if you can send me links to code examples that help me solve the question below.

  Can I build an application using JDE 4.7.0 where it can run when starting the device, then it checks every 4 hours (draws a server for content) content and have the application runs 24 / 7 where the application can NOT be terminated by the user.

  If you see a problem in the battery life if the application runs 24-7, pull the content from one server every 4 hours, or is it possible to have a timer to wake up the application every 4 hours.

  What you ask, it's certainly possible and for a developer experienced BB, not so difficult.

  I wouldn't worry about the impact of battery life of what you're trying to do.  It will be not significant.

  You will probably hit problems in the following areas:

  restart a) making sure that the application starts correctly, after both a soft and hard

  (b) the connection to the server using generic code that works in most situations.

  (c) decide how to inform the user and/or get feedback from the user, as you run in a background Thread.

  These are all covered in the discussions on this Forum or KB articles.  However, I don't think that there is place to direct you to the these right now.  You need to start coding in Blackberry, just do stuff from the UI simple, until you are familiar with your development environment and the capabilities of the device.  Once you have there, then search in this forum and KB, and then after specific questions if you want.

• Dynamic members time series (In a BSO Application) can be used in other formulas of Member, rules of business or Calc Scripts?

  I am building an application of OSI to refer to values for a YEAR in several calculations. Before you enable the DTS, I wanted to make sure that they can be referenced in the formulas (used in IF conditions to check the values against a value of Member A-T-D)

  Dynamics of time series can be used only to display values DTS EN reports or in smart view retrieves. You cannot use them in the form of Member or Calc. I think the best way would be to add a version with a formula that adds every month until this month for CDA or a different scenario.
