• Disable applications that use wifi?

  Y at - it app, or a quick way to break/disable applications that use the wifi on my MacBook Air OS10.11.4 running?
  In other words, is there something that I can use to Dropbox and Google Drive interrupt synchronization, the break of Carbonite and switch Outlook in offline mode? Note that I'm not talking about simply turn off the wifi. These applications continue to check for a wireless connection, even after the wifi is off, using energy unnecessarily.

  So I was wondering if there is some kind of a gadget that knows what applications are based on wifi and can put all pause or reactivate them all, instead of me having to remember and do each manually.

  Any ideas anyone?

  To be effective you must really be looking for anything that uses the network. The things you mention (Dropbox, Google Drive, Carbonite and Outlook) have no idea if you are on WiFi or not. They are simply looking for a network connection.

  However, you can try to unregister and reregister the MSXML.dll files on your computer and check if you can install and run programs.

  Run the command at the elevated command prompt, follow these steps:

  1. open the start menu, click programs principally made, select accessories.
  2. right click on command prompt, and then click "run as administrator".
  3. type the following commands in the DOS prompt window and press ENTER at the end
  of each line:

  REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL/U
  REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL
  REGSVR32 MSXML4. DLL/U
  REGSVR32 MSXML4. DLL
  REGSVR32 MSXML6. DLL/U
  REGSVR32 MSXML6. DLL

  (At the elevated command prompt command should not give us any error).

  You can also open the event viewer and check if there are other important messages/error codes that is generated during installation or execution of the program and after return.

  I set up a test server that is demanding that I closed all applications that use ports 80, 443, 8000, 8002 and 8004, because these are required by the Test Server. I don't know how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I hope that Super Antispyware has given you the opportunity to remove those things. Since your initial Malware scan came clean, it is likely that located SuperAntispyware cookies only track, which are odious, but generally not a threat from System.

  It is possible that you have apps which unknown to you, that run automatically in the background whenever you start your program. It is good to check if they are legitimate and necessary to launch when you start your PC.

  Start button, click on you. In the run box, type: msconfig.exe

  A System Configuration tool runs. Go to the Startup tab. You will find a list of applications that are set to run every time your PC starts. If you recognize all of them, use Google to help identify their purpose. Many times, you can open the application that is in question and prevent the application from starting. For example, on my system, I see that Java runs once more a verification tool to update each time you start. In this case, I can set my preferences Java Panel, select Java and uncheck automatically search for updates.

  I also use OpenOffice and it wants to run a startup of service to reduce the time that openoffice requires to open. I don't really want something constantly running in the background to save me a few seconds to open the application. Then I go to Google to find out where the switch is to disable this "feature".

  If you have unwanted applications running in the background, it is best to either uninstall, our to disable the option that allows them to run at startup. Although you could definitely "uncheck" the application through msconfig.exe, it is essentially a tool of troubleshoouting and not intended for the struggle of the apps (even if you do).

  You can always uncheck/check again on this list to see their impact when you then restart your PC.

  Once you have verified that apps that are set to start, you can run Windows Task Manager and scroll elements in the process and Services tabs to see what is running. The Services tab can be pretty intimidating to investigate on (there is a lot of misinformation the ' net), so if you are unsure about the services listed, it is best to ask or to jump on this area.

  Can I build an application using JDE 4.7.0 where it can run when starting the device, then it checks every 4 hours (draws a server for content) content and have the application runs 24 / 7 where the application can NOT be terminated by the user.

  If you see a problem in the battery life if the application runs 24-7, pull the content from one server every 4 hours, or is it possible to have a timer to wake up the application every 4 hours.

  What you ask, it's certainly possible and for a developer experienced BB, not so difficult.

  I wouldn't worry about the impact of battery life of what you're trying to do.  It will be not significant.

  You will probably hit problems in the following areas:

  restart a) making sure that the application starts correctly, after both a soft and hard

  (b) the connection to the server using generic code that works in most situations.

  (c) decide how to inform the user and/or get feedback from the user, as you run in a background Thread.

  These are all covered in the discussions on this Forum or KB articles.  However, I don't think that there is place to direct you to the these right now.  You need to start coding in Blackberry, just do stuff from the UI simple, until you are familiar with your development environment and the capabilities of the device.  Once you have there, then search in this forum and KB, and then after specific questions if you want.

• Problem of deploying an application that uses a public key

  I have an application that I connect to deploy using the keys provided by RIM. To access this application, the user must connect by entering a user name and password. So far, and for security reasons, we have not stored the password in the persistent storage.

  I ended up creating a new public key (I called him IMB) so now I have to ask signatures through the signing tool in Eclipse and then use the file signer utility to sign the rest of the objects with our own key (IMB). Things seem to work ok on the Simulator, so I am now ready to deploy a version on a web server so that users can download OTA. The problem is that after I used the file signer utility, I can't seem to be able to extract the files from brother COD, I used to be able to open the cod built with Winzip but not more, I get an error message. If I don't use singer file, I can extract without a problem but then the app does not work properly.

  I can't seem to find any information on this point - any input would be appreciated.

  Hello, recently I wanted to install an application but got an error message saying AJAX is not supported on your platform - after checking the forums on this site, I found that I need to upgrade to 4.5.X and for that I downloaded from this site the "8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37 [1].

  When I connect the device to the computer, I got the message from device manager asking if I want to upgrade applications to current version,

  I did it-but suddenly during the upgrade process, my blackberry is turned off and since impossible to turn it on again, it looks like my smart phone is completely dead! There's just a red light on the top flashing...

  That's all just amazing, because I have no idea why this happened because I used this official site and Device Manager was the one I downloaded from this site for 8310 Smartphone

  The query takes now almost 5 minutes. Y thaere a way to reduce the time?

  All columns used in the query are already indexed. (Of course, not only for this query.)

  I should not get too hung up the full Table Scan necessarily - Oracle makes a decision, and even with your new index, he still thinks it is the most effective way to recover the data.

  Did you collect statistics on this new index?

  You have created the index with:

  TO_CHAR("STATEMENT_DATE",'MON-RRRR')
  

  Yet, you seem to be just by selecting statement_date in your query: Oracle cannot use the index (according to functions) in this case!

  If you have only a small number of columns in this table, you can consider an Table of Index organized (ITO), then the table itself is a clue.

  I'd be more inclined to optimize the complete analysis of the table and the creation of other clues, I would say, have you tried the PARALLEL tip?
