  I was using Final Cut Express 4 HD on my iMac old but bought a new end iMac 2013 and learned that CTF will not run on the Mavericks (and if you install it you will destroy your manager X OS plugin with no chance to fix it)!

  OK FC X Pro is far way expensive for me now, as I just use the application to create projections of slides of more nice photo. iMove has a single track and so I'm already on the limits. Okay, this is where 12 PRE comes in the game, and so far, I like what I see in the editor. But when it comes to export and share my work for Full HD TV I'm more than disappointed.

  Here's what I use. I exported all my images with 1920 x 1080 pixels in JPG, max quality with 72 dpi, and they look fine on my iMac.
  When I import stills in PRE, they are OK when I see them in the editor. I turned off optimization again and put the highest quality to render the preview.

  
  When we look at the clip my iMac in the editor is ok so far, but full-screen images are fuzzy, blurry and Ghost images and objects of art. Well, I could live with that when it would be only the preview but export the video to a DVD with Full HD, the result is like the preview images are blur, blur showing objects and ghosting. And I can't do better by manipulating the settiings in DVD dialog box. Maybe I'm doing it wrong!

  The only way to make my pictures in the video looking for tack and high heat as they are is when I use MPEG format with Full HD settings and watch the video with quick time.

  Why not get the same result when you save the video on DVD? Any tips?

  Regarding the quality of the DVD, I had no problem with FCE 4 HD! And images (photos) are the same pictures that I used to compare the results!

  Secondly, I just use the free trial BEFORE 12, hope that's not the reason? The annoying "always you" banner saying that it is a trial version is something that I don't like, but I have the experience and makes it even worse are PRE 12 crashes again and again on the steps I take, sometimes when I change a setting, sometimes when I rub, sometimes when you select a fade, sometimes during the import of images and other step...

  With all this disappointing quality on DVD and many accidents can't get many arguments right now to test a full version?

  You need to move carefully here... it sounds as you have inadvertently synchronized all the photos from your pc to the iPhone and if you delete them from the iPhone that could eventually remove them from your pc as well!   I have the first Elements 9.  I have completed the video and try to use an Adobe model that has a place for a still image.  I imported an and it shows on the computer, but when I burn the DVD there's just a big black box empty.  I tried to make the photo 1000 x 750 pixils and that did not work.  I even tried to use a photoshop file, thinking maybe it was just owner but to no avail.  Between that and the fact that the program is so unstable that it crashes whenever I try to do something, my frustration level is pretty high.  Probably, it crashed almost 20 times just trying to make the video.  Is this normal?  Any help would be appreciated.   You came to the right place. What you described is an old story and a known issue with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1. The issue is to maintain the background of replacement in the final product DVD VIDEO to DVD disc. The remedy is to apply a background audio in the menu in the customization area of the project (audio either mute or sound file) disc menu.

  I can't seem to find much on this you want to so I hope it's something fairly basic:

  I traken screenshots of a Web site and in the publication, they are REALLY blurred. I thought that they would make out ok, it was only a glimpse (like InDesign) but I made the video output and they look really terrible, completely fuzzy. The images have a little animation on them, nothing big, slowly moving across the screen and we zoomed in, but despite this the end restores size is way smaller than the actual size of screenshots.

  What I'm doing half to get still images to display suddenly (or at least decently).

  It is your biggest problem. In fact, there are your two biggest problems.

  First of all, 720 X 576 is a project not square size. Your screenshots are of square pixels, so you're going to significantly soften the fineness of the details just by using this frame size and pixel aspect ratio. It also tells me that you are scaling screen shots your way down. "That without going to work!" Chico Marx

  The second problem is that the size of the frame is for PAL (DVD or broadcast) television. H.264 is a bad codec for this format. This format will still be delivered as interlaced images. You can choose do not introduce fields, but they are there and they will cause single pixel wide lines flashing on TV and look horrible. If it were up to me I would completely remove the H.264 option from the format options in the output module. The only way to get what I would call acceptable results goes directly from the AE all MPEG compression is to use Media Encoder.

  I suggest you change the size of your computer to all the Square Pixel PAL standard frame sizes. Use the encoder to media at the end of your file NO square using multi pass rendering. If you follow the suggestions I have set up a while ago, you'll at least have a chance at a decent rendering. If you are destined for the web and not to the broadcast or a PAL DVD, I would work at least 720 p (HD). You will have at least a chance to a readable a screenshot not altered image.

  Nik,

  This is done in Edit > Preferences > General. IIRC, the time still is in frames, not the seconds, so take note of that. For that, prior to importation. It will also set the duration of the securities, but they are easy to adjust the duration.

  Very frustrating problem: I have a picture of the building of slide 1. I create slide 2 and start working on the text. For some reason, when I return to modify slide 1 and then go back to slide 2, the image of the building now appears on slide 2.   I am creating an intro slate in first 5.5 using a fixed image, I manipulated in Photoshop. The image is a PNG (transparency required), but when I try and get a preview of the video by using the space bar, the image blurs even if he's not getting at all. The photos below show my problem - the image of the top is when playback is paused and the background image is when he plays. As you can see, the image quality is reduced significantly.
