Still using Premiere Pro 2

What version of the Premier Pro should I buy to be able to edit video shot on an iPhone 6 correctly? I did a lot of video editing over the years. In the past, I used Premiere Pro 2 for editing of video clips on my Sony TRV950.  I realize that PP2 is very old, but she always has everything I need and I know how to use it. Now that I need to edit the video shot on an iPhone, I find that still make a clip short three-minute takes hours. I really want to learn a whole new editing software. My other concern is that the most recent PP can be so different then PP2, he can be as a new program.

Thank you

I think that you better buy Premiere Elements, and then rent first CC.

BTW, these two programs do not like phone footage.

You will need to convert constant framerate with Handbrake before you import it in first.

Both programs have a learning curve: CC is more stiff then elements.

  • When you zoom/pan on stills in Premiere Pro, no matter what format of image stills were scanned and saved as?

I have several hundred photos that have been scanned at 600 dpi in jpeg format. I know that 72 dpi is the standard for video images, but I plan to zoom in at least 200% on most of the stills. So, just to be on the safe side, I've scanned everything at 600 dpi.

In terms of panning and zoom on stills in Premiere Pro, is it important that the images have been digitized as TIFF instead of JPEGs or png files? That will cause problems in first Pro CC for playback or image format is not serious? If so, it would be wiser convert all files png or tiff JPEG files before importing in first Pro CC? I understand that they would have to be TIFF or png files transparency for the purpose of the composition. But I just intend to make Ken Burns style movements on the stills, no composition.

Thank you very much in advance.

DPI is not serious on video, look at the size of the frame of these images instead.

Yes, the JPEG is a lossy compression format. TIFF, PSD, PNG are lossless compression and a best choice to use for your needs. However, do a test and see if the JPEG images might look OK so you don't waste time, a new analysis images.

It shouldn't matter much. The thing to be concerned about is the size of the image. With the help of more than 4000 pixels in each dimension will seriously affect your performance. 3840 x 2160 (2 x the size of HD picture), I found, works well for most landscape oriented images of all. Try it and see if it works for you.

Convert? No, it would not help your image or quality performance. Try a test with a JPEG and see if they work for you. In the contrary case, rescan as TIFF, PSD or PNG and resize images at 2 x the size of HD picture.

Hope this post helps to guide your decisions.

  • Use Premiere Pro offline

Can I use Premiere Pro offline?  I have the CC app, Premiere Pro charges upward when I am connected to Internet at the library, but I don't have internet access at my home.  Premiere Pro is only for the use of the internet?  Windows8, intel 1.5

  • What is the best option for merge prel seven projects - using an intermediate file. using Premiere Pro or a Clipboard Extender?

I did no editing for a few years and suddenly received (for me), a difficult task. I have now just finished editing a wedding shot with 4 video cameras (I took a few videos and other formats have been those who shot at random), in the first 14 elements. The formats of the clips are also different. Due to the fact that there was overlap so many scenes and the complexity of the task, I have divided marriage in 7 scenes, each is a file/project prel e.g. married dress, ceremony, etc. I didn't know at that time that it might be difficult to merge the projects. The final step is to merge these files so that I can make both BD and DVD.

I initially purchased Premiere Pro for editing, using Pinnacle for years, but I was struggling too much with the Pro and the different formats of the clips, add music, overlapping, etc. Then I bought elements and was very uncomfortable with the Expert mode. I think that I am now ready to start using Pro.

The specs of my computer are:

OS: Windows Pro 64-bit 10. current version: 10.0.10586.306

    gigahertz Intel Core i5-2400 3,10; RAM: 8, 00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3. 64 bit

    First Elements 14.0.64 Version
First Pro CC 2015 Version 9.0.0

Here are a few clips (from MediaInfo) specifications (some of them might have been converted as they were given only to me some time after the wedding):

    1. Codec: AVC; Variable bit rate; Bit rate 16.4 Mbps; 1920 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AC - 3; Bitrate: 256 Kbps
    2. Codec: H.263; Constant bit rate; Bit rate 36.6 Mbps; 1920 x 1080; Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AAC; Flow rate: 192 Kbps
    3. Codec: AVC; Variable bit rate; Bit rate: 24 Mbps; 1920 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps; Sound: AAC; Bitrate 96 Kbps
    4. Codec: MPEG video;? Variable or Constant; Bit rate 25 Mbps; 1440 x 1080i. Frame rate: 25 fps

Sound: MPEG Audio AC-3; Bit rate: 384 Kbps

I tried to read as many threads as possible in this regard, but couldn't find much on the internet and most son/tutorials are quite old and refer to previous versions of Premiere Elements. I tried to merge it with Premiere Pro, after reading this (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/importing-sequences-clip-lists-libraries.html; ( http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/premiere/pro/import/), but I've struggled, as in the two references, it was either too little info or the guideline was not clear to me.

I also saw wires on clipboard Extender (ClipMate and Spartan Lite) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1148100 I downloaded Spartan Lite, but that seemed pretty confusing.

I'm very uncomfortable to use intermediate files (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/875797?tstart=0) that I have enough space on my drive hard, but made a loose quality? On the other hand, I suppose it might be good for me to start using Premiere Pro now.

    What is the current consensus?

Then I have another question and I don't know if I need to open a new thread for this. As I have shown above, the clips have all different characteristics and some files prel are save as 1440 x 1080 (where the scene starts with a clip of nr 4, others like 1920 x 1080) I guess I should have converted clips all to the same specification before editing, but I did not. There was so much work involved in this process that I can't think to change to a format and replace them current clips, etc. With the rendering, the different specifications will be a problem?

One last question - I guess I just need to go to the BD and DVD specifications, or should I also realize the whole project in a format without loss of keep for possible future use?

Another option is to use Cineform, who is a Visual lossless codec and produces smaller files means then Lagarith.

    Download Gopro Studio and install.

This will give you the codec.

  • Help with 3.5 hour, 2 video disc with still and Premiere Pro CS6?

I need to publish a DVD 2 disc set (with menus on both discs), because the final length video in Premiere Pro CS6 is about 3.5 hours. In the past I just sent my large video file to an editor, and they put my file on 2 discs. But now I'll be self-publishing and the need to know what is the best way to create my DVD. I have Encore CS6, but cannot find a way step over the images between two discs. What do I have to split the video into Premiere Pro, then send it to yet? Or export the file in full size/resolution of the PP and it is separated into yet?

And what settings should I use in PP and yet?

BTW, I'm on Windows 10, so I don't know if I need Quicktime to DVD (cannot install on Windows 10). Thank you!

    Option B WINS.

What is the length of the program? Don't forget to use 560/minutes or a bitrate calc to fill as many disks as you can for a better quality, no sense given the empty space (unless the program is less than an hour, then it is inevitable).

    Thank you

  • First Pro 2015 - Bluetooth headset bitrate decreases considerably when you use Premiere Pro

I've just updated for Premiere Pro 2015. I use AKB 845 BT wirelessly with a bluetooth adapter without any significant problems for a year now.

After update to version 2015, whenever I go to the creation of any application, the transmission speed instantly drops. As soon as I change to another application, it triggers the usual quality.

My colleague uses a different set of bluetooth headphones, and it has exactly the same problem. She is currently on a live chat with support.

We will post an update on this.

I can reproduce your report with the flow and have a reasonable explanation of the issue. If you configure the first to use the free entry of hands and the hand of free Outpute of the helmet, that the sampling frequency is adjusted automatically to 8000Hz, because it is the only sample rate supported with hands free headset if you need in & out.

If you want high quality sound, I suggest that you configure your settings first to use the AKG K845BT stereo output only (this option is also without cable) and set your input device something different. Reason for the question, is that the Blue-tooth connection is not able to transfer the output connection of high quality in combination with the set of input 8000Hz hands-free devices.

Here is a screenshot that I currently use in 2015 first that works until transparent.

  • Zoom in and out during a clip using Premiere Pro

    Hi all

I looked online and used the tutorials on what I'm about to ask, but maybe I do not return the right conditions, account required to my relative inexperience.

In short, I have shot a video and import it into Premiere Pro. During the clip I want to do a 'zoom' on what is on the desktop of subjects and to zoom out again. Is this possible in Premiere Pro and if so, how?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Ashley

    Hi Ashley Daniel,.

You can zoom in on any clip you want in the Premiere Pro timeline. Simply ensure that the effect controls panel is highlighted or is open by clicking on the clip in question. To open the effect controls panel, you can go to the window menu and click the effects control. Once it's open just select the item in the program or go to the movement monitor > scale option in the effects Panel to choose the zoom level correct of your choice.

  • Which deinterlacing method using Premiere Pro CS4?

    Hello

Looking at a variety of positions here in the forum, it seems that the throw method.  Is this true?  If true, that means really is import H.264 filmed in 1080i30 (60i) in a Premiere CS4 sequence, then via Export-> media, make to any format that is progressive, that I'll lose basically 1/2 of the output resolution?  On a somewhat related question, is there a way to Premiere CS4 to generate the fields as a resolution of 1/2 frames?  If Premiere CS4 can do, may make any recommendation for what?

    Thank you

    Matt

Your workflow is essentially correct.  The only downside is that the CS4 compatible version of Debugmode Frameserver is single-threaded (the last time that I checked), so no multi-core or MT AviSynth goodness is available.  The plugin DFS will be the bottleneck.

I used the AVS plugin CS, so I can recommend it comfortably.

MRQ deinterlacing in CS4 is better than deinterlacing was in all other editions Premiere Pro, so I'm happy that things are improving in this area.  I hope it's even better in CS5.

Since the work on my Premiere Pro into After Effects project last night (I imported sequence into a new after effects file), when I opened the original file creation it gives me this message and stops:

In fact, you press on continue, gives it to you once again, and then he said something about the entry and stops.

I had the same problem today when I tried to close the first pro cc 2015. I called support and said it was a permissions issue where my project folder. All I had to do was change the location of my project file or to change the name of the folder my project folder was in and the error messages went.

    I hope this helps!
