Stills wrong aspect ratio

Hi guys

Export still first pro 5.5.

Open in photoshop to deinterlace.

When they are imported into first is increased from 16:9 4:3

I guess that's the pixel aspect ratio that photoshop has changed.

How can I get the stills to be 16:9, when recording in photoshop?

Thank you

Hi Michael,

You don't mention what was the video format, but if HDV 1440 x 1080, in Photoshop, you can simply change to 1920 x 1080 and will look correct, then using square pixels in the first. Or use Edit first, as suggested.

  • Framework of export is wrong Aspect Ratio

    Hello

    I have a bit of a problem when you press the button export the image jpgs that are produced are too long - that is the aspect ratio is wrong.

    However, it's the strange thing, the source video reports that the size is 1440 x 1080 and the image is exactly that size! However, if I export an mp4 made this size, i.e. corresponding to the source, then again, the video is stretched too high. I export video 1920 x 1080 so that it is the right ratio.

    The source file is a Sony Handycam HD .mts file. Windows says it's done 1440 x 1080 and therefore Premier Pro. If I get very confused as to why he reports he's a 1.3333 when it really is 1.7777 16:9.

    Can someone please explain or just let me export images I want the help of the ratio 16:9 button?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Instead use the export block option, you can also use export support png for example and select HD 1080 p

    Uncheck export as sequence.

    Or drop the images into a sequence of 1920 x 1080 and the frame to export.

    The next time set your camera quality max this will give 1920 x 1080 by 1.0.

    Channel 9 Queensland Australia has the proportions wrong since the upgrade to Windows 7.  It requies zoom setting 3 every time that I turn to it.  So that means then that other channels are false and I need to go back to zoom 1.
    Apparently, it started with SP2 on Vista.  Can you please undo everything you've done for the aspect is correct.

  • CS5 Pixel Aspect Ratio problems...

    Hi all

    I am working on porting over an importing existing Windows .mov file to Mac while also improving it to CS4 CS5 (and also riding in the creation of a library of files QuickTime 64 bit handwritten management to start, Ouch).

    In my test class, I have problems with some 1920 x 1080 .mov files. Some files of 1920 x 1080 I imported correctly, some of the files I imported with the wrong aspect ratio. I checked the two files should be displayed using square pixels and have checked also when the selector is sent which called (SDKGetInfo8) I'll put what follows for * all * the above test files:

    SDKFileInfo8-> vidInfo.pixelAspectNum = 1
    SDKFileInfo8-> vidInfo.pixelAspectDen = 1

    I bought it online using SDKGetInfo8 () and tense and no strained clips seem to give exact same traces through this function. However, files that are imported with the wrong aspect ratio, of course, listen to samples in a long format. Also, in the information of the location of the Source region, when the * extended * clips are selected is the information that is provided to these clips:

    NameOfTheStretchedClip.mov
    Video, 1920 x 1080 (1.7778)
    00:00:9:13, 23.976 fps
    etc...

    For clips that are not stretched, (1.7778) is (1.0). I'm not the greatest expert on the actual use of the first, so I can assume given the displayed values and the respective Visual result clips when you preview this value appears in the user interface is the format of the pixels and not the ratio of the image as the clip with (1.7778) is stretched and the clip (1.0) is not , but both are 1920 x 1080 videos. What I suspect is that 1920/1080.0 is 1.7778 and so somewhere for the clips that are stretching the pixelAspect ratio values seem to be derived using the dimensions in pixels and not the vidInfo.pixelAspectNum and vidInfo.pixelAspectDen values that are explicitly set to "1" as shown above.

    So my question is, apart from the SDKGetInfo8() layout the following values:
    SDKFileInfo8-> vidInfo.pixelAspectNum = 1
    SDKFileInfo8-> vidInfo.pixelAspectDen = 1
    Where can we pixelAspect values are supposed to prepare you?

    You can also:
    -In what other selector calls * CAN * pixel aspect ratio get ready? As I said, I'm porting of existing code, so maybe that these values are preparing elsewhere that I am currently unable to find.
    -Are there any setting that could get attached to the import of a file that said to derive the format of pixels the pixel dimensions that might get triggered for the clips that are imported as lie?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi Josh,.

    > Where are stored the XMP metadata in a QuickTime .mov?

    This documentation contains descriptions of the specific method of storage of XMP file format:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/XMP/PDFs/XMPSpecificationPart3.PDF

    QuickTime is described in section 2.2.4.

    I guess that this file with the 1.78 BY adjustment to its XMP had been changed manually somewhere along the line in Premiere Pro or a bridge and is not really a valid test case.  I would like to know if you find a way to produce using a real workflow.

    The fact that the file with NOMINAL 1.78 is showing that 1.0 BY when the time base is 24000 / 1001 is technically incorrect.  Maybe our importer knows that there is no such thing (at least that I know) like a 1920 x 1080 with 1.78 NORMAL video, so it sets properly, while missing the 23976 / 1000 cases.  But it is technically incorrect because the IRON must be completely flexible for future formats.  Still, I would imagine it is really a problem, an end user will hit, is it?

    Kind regards

  • aspect ratio of false drawing in Windows media center

    Hello

    I was viewing and recording of digital television live in Australia on my Acer 6920 (built-in tuner is AVerMedia A309 minicards, DVB - T) and outside of never being able to download tv program guide information - I really don't like that much to this topic - everything was very good and a picture quality and report l / h have been correct , until mid-April 2012.  I went foreign 3 months and are back in Australia, connected my computer to an antenna and now the proportions of photo is wrong: it should be 16:9 full but now is extending laterally a 4:3 image to fill the 16:9 from my computer screen.  I took a screenshot but don't know how to set or view here.
    My MWC and Vista version information: V.6.0.6002.18242 (vistasp2_gdr.100414 - 0533) with technology WMC.
    And by the way, even my old recorded tv files played in WMC are the evil aspect now BUT when the same files are read using WMP or WMM is the aspect is correct - no cropping on the sides and no stretch; full 16:9 picture is played as it is.  This leads me to guess that the problem is specific to the WMC and perhaps an update on vista in the last 90 days caused the problem?  This also means that the tv signal is not the problem; If it was the recorded files would play in the correct proportions but don't live tv would be displayed in the wrong aspect ratio.
    Thanks for your advice and suggestions.

  • "Freeze frame" aspect ratio problems what I am doing wrong?

    I downloaded a video short test showing my camera in the mirror.

    The video camera is a Sony HDR-CX320E (the ' E' for Europe)

    The camera settings were;

    Record = HQ Standard

    Frame rate = 50i

    HD / MP4 Standard = HD

    X - V color = WE

    PE9 project settings have been set to

    PAL (I'm in the United Kingdom)

    AVCHD

    1080i 25

    When I get media and drag it to the timeline PE9 is happy with it, I did not ask if I want to change the project settings.

    So far so good...Untitled-1.jpg

    In the first screen clip above, you will see the skin round my camaraas seen in the mirror lens.

    Then, below, I took a "freeze frame" wink as usual and checked (checked) the "Edit in Photoshop after insertion of" box.

    Untitled-2.jpg

    And once again, supra, it is very well... well...

    Untitled-3.jpg

    Above, what the "Freeze frame" resembles the lime of time, it seems quite normal.

    But as you know when you ask the retouching in Photoshop Elements image opens immediately in the stills of edition

    photoshop image test_FF_2.jpg

    Above, this is the problem that I get.

    This is how I see the image in Photoshop Elements

    The proportions of the image changed makes taxable to any convenient mounting.

    If I change the image, the aspect ratio returned to normal when the image is visible in the lime time and main display.

    I tried to make the "freeze frame" image before calling so that it can be edited in Photoshop, but which made no difference.

    Moreover, the above project and camera settings work fine in all other respects and if I add graphics they are in the right position when I download my videos on YouTube (I download on YouTube using the 1920 X 1080 HD, otherwise the graphics are misplaced)

    So what I am doing wrong guys?

    Kind regards... Andy

    Andy,

    Thanks for the follow up messages.

    According to the instructions of the SG... This should work for you with your description of your workflow

    a. project Preset and Source Media... HD 1440 x 1080 anamorphic 16:9

    b with the video on the timeline, the share/computer science/Image and the preset group JPEG HD 1920 x 1080.

    If you import that jpg 1920 x 1080 16:9 in a project from Photoshop Elements or look in the viewer computer, it should present only 1920 x 1080 16:9

    I have Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and road found the road.

    What is the status on your passage at 1920 x 1080 as a way of taking your camera so that you will avoid this kind of problem if you do a lot of frozen images and want to use the integration of the first elements Photoshop Elements to edit these frozen images.

    Looking forward to your results.

  • Is it possible to change the aspect ratio on the 5 d mark iii in video mode? How is that possible?

    I can see where to change the format of image in Live Mode, but I can't see the options for the movie on the 5 d mark iii mode.

    Hi dhooser!

    Thank you for posting.

    Video Full HD is shot at a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is an aspect ratio 16:9 fixed.  Standard definition video is shot at a resolution of 640 x 480, which is a fixed ratio of 4:3 aspect.  This cannot be changed as it can for still photo shooting.

  • Aspect ratio 4:3 on serious DVDs

    My HP laptop (with Windows 7) Windows media player and HP DVD play DVD playback programs.  Whenever I try to read some DVDs which are 'copies burned"(who play in a regular DVD player as long as you can change the aspect ratio) always liked the 16:9 ratio in a 4:3 ratio.  No the case in all the settings for either the Windows media player or the settings of 'HP DVD Play' lets just set the settings for playback of 16:9.  I got into arguments with my friend who burns the DVD for me because he says I have to update the computer online, but I can't find anything.  I toild him he made the wrong DVD because he burned a few movies to a reading of 4:3 for his TV, but said it should play back fine on my player... Yes good.  Mind you, it isn't just computer tech saavy, Burns, and copy DVD from a DVD burner drive.  Some movies, it gives me reading back perfectly, others, where my question, just to play in this press (left and right bars), 4:3 format.  Its driving me crazy.  Y at - it an update can change the image format in this situation?  Is there something my friend done badly in these Burns of his?

    Any help with this would be wonderful.

    Hello capecosta,

    Try the following and see if it helps.
    On the start menu, click with the right button on the Media Center and select Properties. Tab shortcut, in the target, add "/ widescreen ' for what is already there for example"%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /widescreen ".

    Reopen Media Center and it should load in 16 / 9.

    After changing my windows, the aspect ratio of Mozilla is not good (the letters are too small and the page is ok or letters are ok and the too big pages - added below images). You really don't want to do it this way. He crushed him!

    I recommend that you create a new sequence in the ratio 4:1 1920 X 480 and simply drag your 4K video on it. The ladder to the bottom with the help of the scale parameter of the motion effect to get an idea of what it looks like and how you want to resize it back up or not at all.

    What you could do is first use a sequence of 1920 X 1080 and put a top title that has a hole in the middle which is 1920 X 480. Make this title about 25% opaque so you can see what you're doing. After graduating he looks inside the hole 1920 X 480, then she nests in a sequence of 1920 X 480. You can then export this sequence quite easily.

  • Adding a layer that has a different aspect ratio or export transparencies.

    CS6 11.0.2.12 on Windows 8

    Hello. I have a project which is currently in 720 x 534. I would like to add a layer behind it that has the same height, but is wider and I don't want to spoil all the layers that are made in 720 x 534.

    If I try to change composition settings, it spans my original work.

    I tried to create a new project with the broader framework of the composition and simply import the original video to layer on top. It works, except that I lose the slides of the original.
