  Reboot, or power on the laptop and immediately after that the Sony Vaio logo disappears, press the F10 key several times. This brings you to the built-in recovery Partition.

  You can reinstall the operating system from there.

  Do you not need to run all the operating systems on the machine? With the help of VMware or similar is the way to go, but with this card, you don't have much choice, you must upgrade first to 8 GB of RAM.   You can buy a recovery disk set of HP or an HP partner online.

  You should try to run the windows system file checker.

  Go to a command prompt and type sfc/scannow. Let it run until the end replaced and Windows system file checker instect will all the files he found to be corrupt or otherwise damaged.

  First of all I must say that it of not possible to download the operating system. It s just preinstalled on your laptop and you can find it on Toshiba Recovery disk as well.

  If you don t have a recovery disc, you can order one from Toshiba but I m not 100% sure if it of possible old Equium A200. Just check the online store:

  If you can t order it, ask a service provider authorized in your country. Maybe they have such a disc and can give you.
