Stop: 0x0000007B Inaccessible_boot_device error

I have converted a server that has windows 2000 adv server with Service Pack 4 (series Dell 8450 with 4 processors). I used Vmware converter 4.0 to convert VM. Earlier there not so many times when I choose preservce & SCSI options. It worked he successfully converted VM when I choose the IDE. but ran only to vmware server 2.0. As IDE is not supported in ESX 4.0. Now we buy license for Vsphere and want this physical machien (dell 8450) in ESX 4.0. I tried convert the machine several times, but when he reached 97%, it fails on the reconfiguration all the time. so I deleted the reconfiguration option before converting and converted files in three different ways. preserve, scsi, and IDE.  Now when I moved in the data store and configured with VM one by one. (IDE na not work since the beginning). two other cases, defective error all the time below.

Stop: 0x0000007B Inaccessible_boot_device error

It starts well windows 2000 page appears after the bar comes in the middle of this error. I tried all methods to run this VM as converting Bus & LSI controllers. ESX 4 gives four option BSU, LSI, Pará and the fourth I don't remember right now. I tried all 4 ways chaning to operate but always same error. I also tried to convert the Vmdk files with vmkfstools-i option. But still, things went wrong. I don't know what I'd do. Can anyone help. For your reference, I am pasting vmx for one of the below vmx files. Appreciate if someone told me step by step or atleast guide new way to make this file work.

Morning,

I suggest to change the to the BusLogic one SCSI adapter and then using BartPE to make sure that the correct drivers are loaded in the operating system. This can be done by going to http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ and then adding the Fix-VMSCSI (http://www.rtfm-ed.co.uk/?page_id=174) plugin to load the drivers in your Windows 2000-based computer. This does two things at once: loads the BusLogic driver and modifies the Windows registry to boot from it.

Yell if you need any other instructions, otherwise I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Glen

  • STOP: 0x0000007B, blue screen error at startup of Windows XP.

Original title: XP does not open in any safe mode.

XP does not open in any safe mode.  It just restarts over and over until I stop.  I have tryie "disable automatic restart on system failure" and the blue screen had these codes; I guess that's the BSOD, although I don't know what BSOD is right now.  The codes were - STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78AA524, 0 x 0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).  I conclude that this indicates a person well informed of what is wrong, but I don't know what it is or how to fix it.  I consider myself a person of intermediate level; I'm comfortable with some things and others that I'm not.  I hesitate to make the adjustments that I don't know what the results will be.  I do not experiment.

Before that, my laptop Toshiba L300 (about a year) worked very well. I think there a virus as a "window of 11 news" kept popping up in Internet Explorer.  I ran the Windows scan and it found nothing.  I tried to run a software check Norton which is supposed to run in safe mode and that's when it happened.  I have perhaps inadvertently done something wrong; I don't know what.  Is this enough information for someone to help me to solve this problem, or do I need to take it to someone more clever am I?

    Hello

    That means STOP 0x7B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.

    1. first of all, you can restart the PC and press F8 to enter the Advanced Options Menu Windows XP. Once the menu is displayed, select 'last good known Configuration ". See if Windows XP starts correctly. If it restarts the PC again and make sure it's normally.

    2. the second thing you want to do is to enter the recovery console and run a disk check. Here's how to enter with your Windows XP CD recovery console:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/RCONSOLE.htm

Once in the recovery console you want to type

    CHKDSK c: /r

and then press ENTER. Enable ChkDsk to run and fix the errors. Restart the PC once done and see if it works now.

    3. If it still does not work, restart the PC and enter the Recovery Console. Once in the type Recovery Console the following pressing ENTER after each line:

    Fixboot

    FIXMBR

Once done exit Recovery Console, restart the PC. See if it works now.

I'm a noob Microsoft Answers. I have an old computer, I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP.  It's a Dell XPS Dimension 3 (3.40 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4, 1 G of RAM).  It does start normally or in Safe Mode.  I tried to use Fixmbr, Fixboot, Bootcfg/Rebuild, chkdsk/r, Memtest86, Killdisk.  I tried to install using another hard drive (which leads me to believe that it is perhaps a hardware problem).  He gave the same error code, I think, even if I didn't write it.  The only thing I found that I have not tried is "How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup" because it is said that it will not work on OEM devices.  The error code is Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF7C85524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0 x 000000000).  I tried to install Ubuntu on two disks and they have installed and worked properly.  I don't know what else to try except hardware troubleshooting, although I'm not too good with hardware problems.  If you have any recommendations that could put closer me to a resolution I would be very happy!

PS Windows XP actually ran on the second hard drive, I have tried (which is currently the drive in the machine at this time).  I installed it and it starts directly in Windows.  Yay!  I have restarted this configuration several times without any problems.  But I had a problem with the Microsoft Security Essentials update so I thought that a clean install would be better.  In hindsight, I wish I had tried harder to solve this problem, but I did not.  The first hard drive suffered a crash of Windows led me to be upgraded to a Windows 7 computer.  It was more than 1.5 years ago.  I just thought that the full back story might help.

    Hello

I'm close to some (but my experience tells me very little is certain at 100%), which has a generic windows installation CD install without the need for the Setup F6 disk, as long as the BIOS is set to RAID Autodetect / ATA (or possibly 'mix'). AHCI is a more efficient disk access method but requires F6 floppy or "slipstreaming". If the CD is already slipstreamed for your PC, AHCI should work without F6. As you say your default BIOS to auto detect RAID/AHCI, I expect a CD specifically for your system to support it, while a generic CD would not.

I doubt that they will provide F6 floppy but you never know. If you do not ask that you probably won't get.

You can mark the answers on this topic as "answers"...

.. But if I remember correctly, you can only score a maximum of 2 'responses. I offer my final diagnosis (and maybe my first answer) as candidates, but it is completely at your discretion. You can even hold off on tagging the "answers" until you get another CD from Dell and try. It also helps other people viewing this thread hoping to find a solution to 7B stops.

You can designate the other answers as useful if you think that it is appropriate.

Basically the error means that the installation of Windows has lost access to the controller driver.

If it is a newer computer with SATA drives go into BIOS and check the SATA settings, place the controller in IDE mode and see if the computer starts correctly.

If you you do not want to lose any data, make sure you take a backup on removable media before trying to solve the problem.

Select Start, run, type cmd and press ENTER. Type "chkdsk c: /f /r" without the quotes and press ENTER. Make sure you include the spaces indicated. Enter Y when asked if you want to run chkdsk on restart the computer. Quit and then restart the computer.

Marking bad sectors on a hard disk takes time so be patient. Delimiting does not repair a defective sector. He places pointers to the reader by saying the system not to read or write to these areas that have been damaged.

If the number of defective sectors continued to increase after using the procedure above several times, then you should replace the disk. If an important system file is written to a bad sector, you can corrupt the registry hives and lose the entire contents of the disc.

However if have run chkdsk you not see more new bad sectors, then the reader can work for you for years.

What is your computer brand and model? You have a Windows XP CD? It's a detail. Generic OEM or OEM brand copy. Suppliers of computers brand often give users a copy of Windows to a recovery partition. That applies to you?

Take a look in the system log in the errors and warnings event viewer and post here the copies. Do not post on more than 48 hours ago.

You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, and Event Viewer. When searching for the meaning of the error, information about the event ID, Source and Description are important.

A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report to your Clipboard. Paste it into the body of your message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

Original title: Lenovo SL500 Windows Vista crashed with STOP error message and won't start

    Hello peoples,
I just installed an iMicro Bluetooth adapter on my computer, and then I wanted to restart my computer. When I turned it on, loading like regular until right after the Vista loading screen, when the Blue Screen of Death (a blue screen with an error on this subject) flashed for about 1/2 second and then restarted my computer. Then he asked me if I wanted to load startup repair or simply start WIndows normally and I chose to start WIndows normally, but it's the same thing, so when the computer is restarted again, I chose the Startup Repair. He said that if I inserted an external device in my computer for me to remove it. But I had no external devices in my computer at the same time! I already pulled the iMicro adapter! So when my computer restarted again, I pressed the button Lenovo Care and charge of Lenovo Rescue and Recovery 4. (This is where I am now, typing away in the Opera browser.) I tried to find help, but could not find anythign useful so far. I installed for many drivers, updates, patches, etc. But none have anything to remove the blue screen of death. Now, after 7 hours, I really frustrated, and this is my last hope! (I don't want to save my hard drive and reinstall, because I paid more than 250 applications and more than 270 free programs on my computer! Of more, more than 350 iPad apps, of which a few are paid! Oh and 700 iBooks!)
Help, please! I'm really desperate right now, and any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

PS I run Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 (I think) on a Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 (NOT SL500c!)

PPS Lenovo all computers have this Lenovo Rescue Recovery 4, which is like an operating system of its own. It has a browser that you can install updates and other things. Right now I use Rescue and Recovery. Thanks again in advance and please answer my question! I had this problem for a week and I'm in school tomorrow! Thanks again!

EDIT: The error message went like this:

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove the hard drives newly installed on the hard disk controllers. Check your hard drive to ensure that it is configured and completed proeprly. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A355 of Costco in the States. I received the following error message when I tried to install XP:

    "STOP: 0X0000007B (0XF78D2524, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).

I applied the fix suggested by tony_roti in the thread "cannot install Win XP SP2 on Satellite A300 - 1 MM.

It seems to have worked as well on my A355.

The version of Costco of the machine comes with 2 hard drives of 250 GB.

I removed the disk of 250 GB with Vista installed on it.

I left the hot spare in the machine.

I changed the BIOS to boot from the CD
I changed the setting in the BIOS from AHCI to Compatible.

I reran install Windows XP SP2

At the appropriate level, I reformatted the hot spare from the module of XP SP2 with NTFS formatting.

    Then I installed Windows XP.

    ... Next up Boot Magic.
