• Custom OR automatic TAB ORDER?

  I'm new to LC Designer. I develop a multi-page PDF form. It is to have both static and dynamic (conditional) fields. Number of fields is around 100. I lived in the TAB order, and I found there are two types of TAB COMMAND available i.e. automatic and custom. I don't know what to choose among these options.

  My question: what ORDER of TAB should be used @ what?

  Hi Afonso,

  My personal preference is the automatic tab order. I find that when you go to a custom tab order, he can go out of sync as more objects are added to the form. Custom order can be re-established, but it can be tedious.

  In automatic mode, the tab order is very much affected by the relative x / y coordinates of the objects from the top left of the form. If an object on the right is even a fraction higher to an object on the left, then fine focus first. This highlights the advantage of using the snap to grid feature in the LC Designer. The other thing to remember is that, once the tab enter a subform, this will work its way through all the objects in the subform before going out to reconnect with the rest of the form. This can be handy to control the tabbing order.

  I built a form with a few tables (all in subforms flowed) each of which has an action to add a new instance of the row if the last cell is not empty. I have done this before in other forms and had no problem, but for some reason any in this shape when I have the tab of the cell and it adds a new line, he puts the cursor in the field after the table, the new line to jump. My tab order is set to auto, so I don't know why there is not tab in the new line.

  I found some discussions about what is happening in 8 Designer, but they were resolved by using subforms flowed and assuring that the subform global went (check!) or automatic tab order (check!).

  I am facing this problem with Yoga 2 pro 13'3 pellets. It stops automatically when the screen is off and dosnt start until it is connected to the charger and press the same power button 30 to 80% battery. I don't know what it is. This happens every time

  Basically, Yes to your question.

  For more details;

  IMM2 Web GUI access via browser and see environmental specifications tab in the server properties menu.
  There are two types of threshold, "Higher criticism" and "upper Fatal".

  If goes on "Higher criticism", then a soft stop will be initiated, where the next depends on your operating system of his behavior causing shutdown graceful or not progressive.
  If more higher jumps "Upper Fatal", then a hard stop will be engaged, which is not a normal shutdown of the typical operating system perspective.

  When designing my UIR for a new project, I realized that when I use the function "change the controls' to change the attributes of several controls at once, the tab order changes.

  I noticed that, because the constants of the UIR are essential for my application and they are changed automatically in the header file according to the tab order.

  If I change the attributes one by one, then the tab order is preserved.

  Is it really a bug or am I missing a point here?

  Thank you for the provision of the UIR and for reporting this bug. Unfortunately, it has been reported too late to get into the next version 9.0, but we will try to fix it in the maintenance release.

  In my windows 2008 OS some services are stopped automatically.what is the cause for this?

  In the meantime, if you find these services are very important to the environment and must always run, follow these steps:

  1. go into Services.msc
  2. a 'Service' right click then properties
  3. click on the Recovery tab, set the following parameters:

  First failure = restarting the Service
  Second failure = restarting the Service
  Subsequent failures = restarting the Service
  Reset Fail Count after = 120
  Restart the Service after = 0

  4. click on Ok

  Cannot access dialog tab order in Captivate 9.  When I select it I get a pop up box that is empty and an error message "Error #2046".  You need to resolve this ASAP.  Any ideas?  I have stop Captivate and r-open.  Did not help.  Start a new file and still the same thing.  Help, please!

• Is there a way to force the tab order to jump a page and then return to this page in a form?

  I have a several page with a required page layout form.  The problem with the current layout of the form, is that I find my users get to '20' page, and it seems like the natural shape... end and stop the seizure of data and submit.  The problem is, there is a field for additional form on the next page that may have need of important information.

  The information contained in this final field is present only in about 10% of the observations, but are crucial to the file, if necessary.  As I said, the page layout is necessary.

  Is it possible to change the tab order from the last form field on the page "19" to the form field on the page "21", and then again the fields in the form on the page "20"?

  It's pretty simple to implement. Until the event OnBlur in the field, you can enter this code:

  Of course, this will cause the other field to be tabulated in even if the user doesn't click tab to leave the field, a few clicks out of it...

  I did a complex questionnaire and is almost complete. Now the problem is that when I converted this file from Word, many fields have been detected automatically and their tab order / numbering has been enabled by Acrobat itself. The remaining fields in the form (in different places) were created by myself. Now in the tab order, automatically detected fields are priority and areas that I created, are much different from the corresponding fields in the Numbering tab. For your understanding, I am including the screenshot too. Please see the Numbering tab in the image after field # 7, there are field n ° 28, then area # 26 and then field # 29, which is not the way it should be.

  Have you opened the 'Pages' navigation panel and looked at the options on the page?

  There should be a series of options such as 'Row', 'Column' or 'no '. Select the 'line' and see if the shape tablets as you want.

• Text blocks all appear in the tab order?

  It is a recent thing, I noticed. I have imported a Word document, and all non-fillable text blocks are appearing in the tab order. Is there a way to tell LS to include only the user interactive fields in the tab order?

  Curiously, when I preview the form, the tabs stop only in the fields, so it runs very well on the end of the user. It's mostly just a gene of design because when you configure the tabs, there are so many blocks of text that I have to work around.

  Just for your information. Have you checked if you did the next thing?

  Tools-> Options-> tab order-> and select Show only tab order for fields.

• Remove or exclude items from the tab order

  In a part of a form I design, the user is supposed to enter several numbers in a table, and down the two numbers are calculated automatically for them.

  I explained in the instructions for the form that some fields are calculated automatically, but actually, I don't have room under the actual shape to add a note next to each calculated field, remind people of that.  I added the code so that if a user tries to click on the automatically calculated field, a messagebox will appear explaining that the field is automatically calculated.  However, I don't want such a box to come if someone presses the Tab right through objects on this page.  It would be boring.

  What I want is to be able to exclude these two digital order alltogether tab fields.  Adobe should simply ignore these fields when a user through tabs.  I can't figure out how to do it right.  Is there a way?  Other suggestions?

  Set the fields you want ignored on read-only in the object under value tab > Type and go to the XML Source tab. On the XML Source tab, hit Ctrl-h to open a find and Replace window, find readOnly and replace it with the object. The fields will be so completely ignored in the tab order. If they are already calculated read-only, then you need only to do search and replace.
