Stop email to transfer device blackBerry Smartphones

Hello

I wanted to be able to stop (and start) redirect email to Blackberry - specifically, I want to stop the transfer of my work emails when I'm sitting at my work PC.  It seems that the only way to do it via Desktop Manager - is there no way to do it from the Blackberry itself?  (If I leave and forget to turn it back on, then I have no recourse.)

Ah ok. So the only other way to stop him is ebb in this icon, the site Web of BIS of your operator, then go to filters of this email account. Once you're there, you can change the filter to not forward messages on the device. Remember to change it when you want to start receiving messages.

If you were on a BES there will be an option to stop it on the device itself.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact TM for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • Transfer of blackBerry Smartphones to password Keeper, Memo Pad, and Photos of Bold 9700 new curve 9320

    Hello

I don't have 'Outlook' put in place on my PC, or I really like.

Is it possible to synchronize the password Keeper, Memo pad and the Photo of my current Bold 9700 to my Blackberry Desktop Manager?

Then I can transfer these items to my curve 9320.

    Thank you.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • Switching devices blackBerry Smartphones using the Desktop Manager

I just got my Torch 9800 replacement since my first only the battery was drainning (apparently a common problem).

Until I returned my old Torch 9800 I backed up and also used the device switch option in Desktop Manager. When it asked me to connect the new device, I unplugged the old camera, he took to the shop orange and then plugged my new camera.

Then an error has occurred and asked me to update the software on the new device. I did it... and then when I use switching devices, it asks me to connect the current device but the problem is... I don't have the camera more.

As I backed up all the data, I did a restore. He restored most of the data, but it has not restored my apps.

Any idea on how I can do?

I hope it is interesting all that.... and I get a better battery life this time!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Ah... never mind. While the device switch Wizard can indeed move a few apps, the backup/restore process does not have applications. So, in the State you are in, you must go to the source of your applications and re - get them. If you by AppWorld, the process is very smooth:

    • KB17625 How to install or transfer has already purchased apps from BlackBerry App World for BlackBerry smartphone

If you have from other sources, then you should see if these sources are a simple way for you. I hope you have good record of all your activation keys... and some will indeed have to be regenerated some developers to attach the key on the BB SPINDLE, which is now different since you have a new device.

    Good luck!

  • Radio on device blackBerry Smartphones

Recently, I tried to use my "BOLD" newly bought in hotels in the United Kingdom and Iceland using local WiFi networks.  In each case, I had a sporadic problem.  I was able to connect to the network and receive e-mails (see another problem later).  However, I could not connecting them to the Internet through the browser.  Whenever I got a message saying: "radio on your device is turned off or the battery is too low for radio in use.  Thus the browser cannot retrieve all of the web pages. "I searched the Help menu but could not find any reference to a 'radio' on my device or how to activate or disable.  The battery on my phone was fully charged.  In each case, the problem solved itself overnight without any intervention from me.  Anyone can shed light on this message?  What is this 'radio' and where/how can I control it?

Once I met the opposite problem.  Again all this use WiFi local hotel not my AT & T network.  I was able to use the browser to access the Internet and could see my POP3 message Internet dérirez system I had messages in my Inbox.  However, no email would download on my device.  It was as if the device cannot connect to the Blackberry site.  I tried to use the e-mail Setup Wizard is to re-register, but couldn't all the details, so I was told my registration attempt.  Yet once the search Help menu, I asked "Files of Service" send for me.  I received the standard message saying does not delete the files from my server.  Receipt of this message seems to open up communication, because I immeiately has received an avalanche of emails on my device.  My question I have to re - register for e-mail whenever I join a new WiFi netwrok?

Finally, my trackball is very slow and unresponsive.  The sales representative AT & T told me that I need to connect and download a new version of the Desktop Manager.  Since I only bought the unit three weeks ago, it does seem I should need an update quickly.  It is correct, or is there another problem?  Should I just a faulty Blackberry?

    Thank you!

    Thanks, Tanzim

  • Updates the device blackBerry Smartphones application

Recently, when I am connected to BB Desktop Manager, updates available. I agree with all of the updates and he did it successfully. However, whenever I now connect to Desktop Manager, I receive the same message saying that the same updates are available. If I agree to them, he then tells me no updates are available. How can I get rid of this message.

    Hello

In this case, we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry smartphone to make sure she is running the most recent version and there is no problems with the operating system on the device.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry Smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and plug in your device. Click the backup and restore options, and then select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the Smartphone BlackBerry software.

I use the Desktop with PC software, so I hope that my remarks are also valid for your situation.
Once your phone is plugged in and has been recognized by the software, click device at the top of the software, and then click transfer device. After that, follow the steps.

  • Emails from group of blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

After some problems with not receiving emails from my camera (I stopped getting emails all at once), I contacted Orange which deleted all my settings without first asking me.  Now, I can not receive emails of Group on my mobile but they are appearing on my PC.  I checked my settings are configured to forward all emails to the handset.  I can receive no direct individual emails to anyone, but not by the groups that I belong to.

I spent hours on the phone with Orange and they say there is nothing they can do because it is not part of their service support (even if they have deleted my settings in the first place).

Please, how can I reset my mobile to receive emails from the Group again.

    Adeline says:

Orange it reset everything to me

Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing if what they also understood what I recommended. So it is your choice as to how to proceed now.

    Adeline says:

but unfortunately my group emails are not transferred to my device.

Please provide more details... to just say 'group emails', I don't know what is happening. Please be very specific on exactly what do emails and do not reach this specific e-mail from your account. For example, to use a different e-mail account (for example, from a computer) and send an email to this account, with only the unique about this recipient. Then send another one, but add another recipient to this e-mail. If both receive, so in fact things work correctly.

Please then clarify what a "group email" is made for you. Is this something to someone who uses a distribution list? Or is it something anyone who adds each recipient a? Or is it a system of automated e-mail you receive from? Something else maybe? Just "e-mail to the group," I have no idea what is actually. And, have you checked with the sender that your e-mail address remains one of the beneficiaries? For, if your email address has been abandoned, then it would obviously no email to reach you.

    Adeline says:

I just spoke with Orange again and they said contact Blackberry because they fear that I receive e-mails and the problem was solved!

Well, then they gave you, I'm sorry to say. End users have no free channel to contact directly the BlackBerry. Indeed, this site is not in contact with BlackBerry... This is a user to user community. The only way to communicate with BlackBerry for free is to be back for BlackBerry by your carrier... they have official channels to do this. Otherwise, there is a fees-based method that costs you money just for your first question, without any guarantee of success.

    Adeline says:

I also have a new icon that has appeared on my screen at the top right?  It is an oblong box, left side is black with a white combination chart inside and the right side is white with a black wifi graph in it.  What does that mean?

This is new? These sounds quite normal icons that should always be displayed. See if they correspond to what in the present:

    Adeline says:

    Also, please what is BES?

BES is BlackBerry Enterprise Service/System/Solution/Server - this is the method that companies use to improve the normal capabilities of the BBs which they control. If you get calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notes Sync wireless to your BB, then you're on BES and need to talk to your BES / IT admins.

    Adeline says:

My apologies for any questions.  I am now frustrated on this subject, as I have no email for more than 3 days

No worries... it's why many of us volunteer here, to answer the questions that people have.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Email - pop3 - valid - bis - blackBerry Smartphones do not receive emails

I'm new to blackberry and I have a new storm 9500 series of verizon.  I have installation three (personal) e-mail - a yahoo mail and two POP3 accounts.  My yahoo account seems to work perfectly, but the other two pop3 do not seem to receive at all.

    Here are the details:

    (1) I have set up all three through the device

    (2) when the pop3 were not working after the initial validation, I contacted the technical support of Verizon and they informed me on the BIS website.

    (3) I've deleted my pop3 accounts and rebuilt the BIS Web site and post them without problem

    (4) I received my validation messages on both accounts pop3 without problem

    (5) I got one or two test messages for each pop3 account

    (6) shortly after, I stop receiving all messages for pop3 accounts.

    ((7) repeat steps 3)-6)

Finally, I went to the websites of these two providers of Internet services and looking for something special for blackberry support and can't find anything substantial.  I am at a loss.  There is no configuration of filters and I checked the box to forward the e-mail to the device.

    Thank you.

Bifocals - thanks for the response.

I think that I thought about it.  But to answer your question, Yes, I always send Service books to update my BIS accounts.

So, I use the simple Outlook Express on a PC "always on" at home.  It seems that my two ISP in question send a copy of the e-mail to BIS timely so my client at home receives emails before they are sent to BIS.  In the my client ADVANCED options, I had to put my messages to be left on the server for a day to give enough time for the e-mail accounts that you want to synchronize with Blackberry.  It seems that there is a lag of 10 minutes to receive emails on my client vs my device.  I tested this all day with good results.  So, originally I had my emails being rubbed server after childbirth.  What they obviously not send to the BIS and my client at the same time to give of their time to the process seem to be the thing.

  • Problem Switch devices blackBerry Smartphones

I tried to transfer my account to Vodafone my curve to a Torch 9800 using the function "Switch Device" in the desktop software. The message on the screen of the torch at the end said that the backup has been corrupted. I tried this several times on two different laptops using the Windows Vista operating system and Windows 8 so suspect it is either a software problem or handset.

The handset of the torch is not new, it has already been used on the O2 network, but was never closed. I realized a security wipe combined and a return to the factory settings using desktop software before trying to switch.

After trying the unit pass, even if he says it's corrupt, works features more but trying to set up my email I receive either of the following problems.

1 using the icon of installation I am asked for a business account and password. As I use BIS not BES I guess it's of no use to me. When you leave the configuration of the phone screen freezes requiring power to return to the main screen.

    2. If I try to activate the e-mail account in the 'Options' menu in the individual e-mail account folder I get the message "cannot open the e-mail setup application. Contact your wireless service provider.

I tried the support of Vodafones forums and they suggest that it is a combined software problem.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated. I'll also post this same message in the 'Desktop Software' forum

Go to your phone's browser and type www.blackberry.com/integrate

  • Setting up email on Bold 9900 blackBerry Smartphones

I have a BlackBerry Bold 9900 and use it as a phone through AT & T prepaid. When I try to configure my email on the phone accounts, he says that he is unable to do so. I can also access Yahoo Messenger; When I try it says impossible for this device. I'd appreciate any suggestions really. I would like to have my email accounts set up on my phone if possible. Thank you!

    Hello

Most carriers, prepaid accounts do not allow the exclusive services BB, which all you mention is. Therefore, it is quite possible that your account is insufficient for the services you want... which means upgrading your account to something that activates the services you want. But, your best source of information about all of this is AT & T, because it's their accounts you need to learn.

    Good luck!

  • Going to my email notifications FB all blackBerry Smartphones

I was wondering if there are any suggestions or ideas on how to stop my FB notifications to go to my email account.  Unfortunately, the other suggestion did not work.  Thank you very much

It is always better to keep the display in your original thread if it is still on the same issue.  In this way, we can easily follow what has already been said.

And more by clicking on disable e-mail Notifications, you can also uncheck application BlackBerry Messages above.  This will stop the notifications are sent to your Messages folder on your phone.

The solution I gave you above usually works.  Are you sure that you you press menu and choose Save before you leave the facebook app?

    Post back with your results.
