Stop-vm vs stop button

Hello and sorry for my bad English.

If I stop a virtual machine with stop-vm, the VM stops immediately, there is no shutdown process. If I press the stop button, the linux vm start a regular stop.

How can I make a regular stop with powercli from the command.

Thanks to and best regards

Micha

For a stop of the guest operating system, you must use the Shutdown-VMGuest cmdlet.

  • How to restore the refresh/stop button?

    I have my perfectly configured browser buttons I would like it. I don't need someone to another deletion or moving them where they feel they are in a better place.

    How to restore the refresh/stop button? Yes, I update it in the address bar. I want it on the left, next to the button at home where he has been for 10 years.

    Chrome allows me to set the button where I want. The latest version of Firefox did too.

    Thank you. It works almost, installation of two plugins to restore my settings to normal. Unfortunately, my understanding of button is:

    Back/Forward. Home page | Refresh/Stop

    and has been for a long time. I can't move the previous/next buttons. If my muscle memory is defined, and every time I hit the back button, I have to stop and think that it is now.

    It's the same thing that I don't like IE.

    Consider me a convert to Chrome, guys. Now I have to remember to click on the eye of the Rainbow and not the orange Fox - but at least I only will once per day.

    One of the developers has been around the forum recently try to answer some of these questions then I quote the developer

    For the entire quote and useful links for corrections and explanations please see

    Each setting you see in a computer program you use requires work; when a developer wants to build something new or improve something, he or she has to go through each related (hidden) setting and test if it still works like before and do that on each platform Firefox runs on. That's Apple's Mac OSX, various flavours of Linux and various flavours of Windows, including Windows XP. This costs time, lots of it, and that amount grows exponentially with each setting that's added. This comes on top of our work to continuously fix, improve and innovate Firefox.

  • How can I move the tab bar to the bottom, and how can I get my reload and stop buttons back?

    The new version of Firefox are repositioned my bar tabs at the top and I can't move it to the bottom. I tried everything: config, but browser.tabs.ontop was already set to false - very curious, because this should have resolved my problem in the first place.

    In the new version of Firefox, I can't get my reload and stop buttons back once again.

    Hi narab.

    You can use the classic theme restaurateur to bring all back them again. You can find more details here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox

  • Refresh/Stop button is missing from the URL bar in 27 FF.

    My position only bar shows 'bookmark this page' and the history of drop down menu on the right. He used to have a button that switches between refresh and stop depends on whether a page was currently loading, which is gone.

    It happened after restarting FF to install an add-on. I don't know if updated FF to update at the same time; He could have. I am now on 27.0.1 and I had installed HideMyAss, which installed its own toolbar button, and also the refresh and stop buttons were no longer in my URL bar, but now they were separated from the buttons in the Navigation toolbar.

    I can't go back into the URL bar. I uninstalled the add-on, I tried drag-and - drop the buttons on the URL bar and I tried to 'Restore the default game' in the toolbar customization dialog. None of these work.

    Thanks Diego!

    The problem was these lines of Localstore.rdf:

       <RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#nav-bar"
                       collapsed=""
                       iconsize="large"
                       mode="icons"
                       currentset="unified-back-forward-button,urlbar-container,reload-button,webrtc-status-button,stop-button,downloads-button,lpt_lastpass-compact-btn,window-controls,social-share-button,tp-notification-popup-icon,pilot-notification-popup" />

    compared to the localstore - safe.rdf, which was:

       <RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#nav-bar"
                       currentset="unified-back-forward-button,urlbar-container,reload-button,stop-button,webrtc-status-button,bookmarks-menu-button,downloads-button,home-button,window-controls,social-share-button" />

    This is probably the entry:

       collapsed=""

    saying Firefox not to collapse the buttons into a single. I deleted all the lines with the exception of leave and everything was back to normal.

    Thanks again.

  • Lost the STOP button with upgrade for FF9

    I can not get the STOP button on the Navigation toolbar since I upgraded to FF9. Where at - it go?

    He was a combined button by default at the end of the bar of address for awhile now.

    Loading a page it's a stop button, because that's when you can stop it, and once it is loaded it becomes a button reload, because you can then reload the page.

    It can be customized by dragging the end of the address bar and to reverse the order buttons, you then get to see two separate buttons:

  • I need the 'STOP' button on the menu

    I just upgraded to FireFox 9.1 and I lost the button "STOP". Could you please let me know how to get it back.

    Thank you

    See:

    Firefox 4 and later versions use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is placed at the right end of the address bar.

    During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button.

    If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.

    Click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.

  • Could not find the "stop" button after updating to firefox 8

    I've just updated to Firefox 8 and can't find the "stop" button to stop a website from loading if inadvertently, I hit the enter button too soon. I looked under Customize toolbar, but do not see it. Icons, what i've got are back, forward, address bar, Star, down arrow reload, google search bar, blocker for popups and at home.
    Thank you

    Firefox 4 and newer versions, go, Stop and reload buttons are combined into a single button at the right end of the toolbar URL or address. The button changes depending on the type of activity:

    • green arrow GB when you type in the address bar
    • Red Stop ("X") button while the page is loading
    • Reload (circular arrow) to gray when the page is finished loading.

    There are separate buttons:

    1. Open the Customize the toolbar by clicking the Firefox button > Option > toolbars OR by clicking View > toolbars > customize if using the menu OR bar right click in an empty space on a toolbar and select Customize
    2. While customizing the window is open, Stop and reload buttons will show separate from the address bar and the search bar
    3. While customizing the window is open, drag the buttons anywhere on the Navigation toolbar
      • order Reload-Stop will bring together into a single button
      • order Stop-Reload will remain in separate keys
      • or drag a "separator" in the window customize between Reload-Stop and that they remain separated
    4. Click done at the bottom right of the window customize to finish

  • How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

    How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

    First of all, if you have the menu bar show. (File-Edit-View-History-Bookmarks-Tools-Help), then you won't see the orange FireFox button because in the new version of FireFox button replaces the menu bar. You can believe that's the way you want by clicking on 'View', then place your cursor over "Toolbars" and check or uncheck menu bar. If you have the display on menu bar, click on 'View' then drag down to "Toolbars", then descend to the right and go to 'customize '; a click on it. Then, when the next screen appears, even if 'Reload' is not displayed on this topic, it appears somewhere upwards in your toolbar. (Mine was above the Google search box). Put your cursor on it and drag-and - drop to the left of your address bar. The "Stop" button should be left more than the button 'recharge' in order to get two separate buttons for these tasks. If the 'Reload' button is further to the left, then you get a single button that performs the tasks at the same time. I hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to change the link to the WMP to Play/Pause/Stop buttons

    Is it possible to change the link to the WMP to play/Pause and the Stop button?
    Because network alone and media buttons can be changed by the software.
    And I'd rather not WMP for my favorite media player.

    Unfortunately, the buttons are configured with WMP (if the CD is inserted) and WinDVD (if the DVD is inserted).
    I guess that you can not use buttons with 3rd party applications.

    A combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is placed at the right end of the address bar is used in Firefox 4.
    During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button.
    If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.
    You can middle - click this button Reload to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.

    You can find the button at the right end of the Navigation bar.

    Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

    Drag the home button from its current position on the right to the previous position to the left of the address bar.

    • Drag the buttons Reload and stop at their previous position to the left of the address bar.
    • Set the "Reload - Stop" order for a combined "Stop/Reload" button.
    • Set the order of 'Stop - Reload' or separate them otherwise to get two separate buttons.
