  Please don't get me wrong, but I hope you know how old is A200. Even more recent machines are not supported for Win8.
  So, I can understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware and if most of the stuff works pretty well, you should be satisfied.
  In this case when you use 8 years machine designed for Vista and certainly not taken in charge for Win8/Win8.1... who cares about SD card reader. You know what I mean? ;)

  Just disable the device in Device Manager and be happy.

  I have a Satellite A100-680 (PSAA9E) that has worked, XP Home, for about two years. Very satisfied!
  I decided to upgrade to Vista Business, which worked very well (actually impressed by the ease of installation).

  The machine works perfectly, there is only one irritating factor - under Device Manager - other devices I have something called mass storage controller and is not a driver loaded. I tried to locate one, but I have no idea of what to look for.

  Vista at one point suggested some Texas Instrument PCI device, but... Let me this way... Fortunately I have not reinstall because I had made a backup of the disc image.

  Can anyone give me a tip that I should look for.

  Really nice, your installation of Win Vista worked all right.
  For this device not recognized, I also think it's the Texas Instrument card reader.

  You are 100% sure that the card is compatible with your laptop card reader. Check everything first before using it in the slot!

  The missing pilot is available on the European driver Toshiba page.
  The Cardbus driver must be installed to get the working card reader.

• BCM5709 not present as a storage controller

  Hi all

  I've been Googling around it and try different things in the last two days without much luck...

  I have an esxi host 5.0 with a Broadcom BCM5709C added dual port NIC card in (listed by dell as Dell manufacturer F169G).  The card not only appers as one card NETWORK, but also as a (hba) storage controller.

  It worked very well, so I picked up two more on ebay (bcm95709A0907G).  But for these cards, they never appear in the storage controller config.  I see them as interface network cards and the vmkernel logs show that iscsi_not_supported for them.

  Why it works with a single card, but not the other?

  There is no config utility presented to the system startup to configure the network cards...

  I can't find all the files of the firmware for this card online...

  I can't find a way to enable iSCSI unloading...

  Anyone got any ideas where I can look at next?   Is it possible that some of these cards are not allowed for unloading iscsi?

  The first supports the iSCSI initialization only, the second supports iSCSI and HBA too.
  It seems that you have the first model.

  What Toshiba drivers you have reinstalled exactly? I'm pretty sure that you don't have installed all the drivers because you always have a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager
