• Satellite A665-11z starts to load then stops randomly

  I bought this second hand Toshiba A665-11z to see that when I'm connected to the PSU, the dough starts to load and then stops randomly load... after a few seconds he could come back, and sometimes it just stops loading completely.

  Here is a walk through one of our best community members Bruce Hagan.
  I think that this is your specific problem.

  Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.

  Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

  General precautions for Outlook Express:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes.   I have win7, Windows Home premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion Elite I - 7 core intel and Gateway screen (fx2300). After the last update for windows and ATI, I had problems to read my games - some don't is not loading, some give me access violations, others do not go full-screen. Oh, now I can no longer adjust the resolution of my screen for anything other than the highest or lowest values acceptable (everthing in between is blocked).  I have supported the ATI update several times, but it takes to watch TV in hd. I worked with HP to install and reinstall the ATI update and update of the last window. Whenever errors are different on my games. Initially, they were access violations and some games would not work, I have the update and reinstall it and other games would get the access violation? Now I can't load games 'Titanic', 'Travel', 'Nancy Drew - lights camera curses'. -No message, just a flickering on the screen, then the game ends. On "Death on the nile" error - latest version of directx. On 'Peril at End House' error - last need direct 3d. I have directx 11. All my games worked at the beginning of April. .  I have directx 11.

  First thing to do would be to check the compatibility of the individual games that you are trying to play the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

  Then, DO NOT ever update the drivers through Windows Update. Always install the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

  Is your Windows 7 install an upgrade of Windows Vista?

  Titanic, travel, etc. - are these games, bigfish, BTW?

  If so, contact them.

  I feel ultimately that your user account may have got corrupted somehow.

  Create a new user account and check if you can play the games there.

  If so, fix the damaged user account.

• I'm taking classes online and since the new UPGRADE to 4, I can't download PDFs from the site unless they are less than 2 MB. It downloads for a few seconds then stops and no message appears.

  I connect to online courses. I click on the link to a PDF on the site. It gives the message it is downloading, then stops. With less than 2.0 MB PDF files load, but nothing more.

  What are the minimum requirements required by the game.

  Windows Vista, XP, Me, 2000, or 98

  1.0 GHz or faster processor

  256 MB or more RAM (512 MB required for Windows Vista or running with several expansion packs installed)

  At least 5.5 GB of free space on the hard disk

  DirectX 9 compatible .0c map video with 32 MB or more memory (64 MB for Windows Vista) and one able to t & following chipsets: ATI Radeon 8500 or greater (9600 or greater required for Vista); NVIDIA GeForce 2GTS or more (GeForce 6200 or greater required for Vista)

  Card compatible DirectX 9 .0c.

  Make sure you have the graphics card that meets the above requirement.

  Uninstall and reinstall the updated drivers for your graphics card from the computer manufacturer's website or graphics card manufacturer's Web site.

  Uninstall the game and reinstall it back and check if you still face the same problem.

  Put your computer in a clean boot the game game and check if you are still having the same problem.

  To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

• Remote Desktop connects then stops after a few seconds

  I have two laptops to Windows 7.  We run OpenVPN which I will refer to the VPN server.  The other is the Client and with me on trips.  Open VPN is configured on the Client and the VPN server, and I can connect from inside and outside the network without any problems.  I also have an Open VPN Client with another port configured on a server QNAS.  I can connect without any problems.

  I want to run the OpenVPN server on one VLAN separated to prevent users to see my internal network and only sees another NAS.  I also use the VPN to offer our few users (3) the ability to connect and use my static IP address.

  I have a router TP-Link-ER-6120.  I can configure the three ports to run in 3 separate VLANS.  When I configure the VPN server works on my regular network to exploit the VLAN1 and VLAN2, I can always connect to OpenVPN and all I want to do works (NAS and Internet access with my static IP).  However, when I try to establish a Session to the VPN server computer remote desktop, I get the login and enter my user name and password.  I see the remote desktop window, open and usually see the remote desktop wallpaper and loading the desktop icons.  Then it crashes.  If he does until I can see the desktop, it automatically attempts to reconnect.  If she makes it that far, it stops with a window that says Remote Desktop connection has been disconnected.

  Is it maybe a configuration problem on the side of the router?  Installation side route is a very simple graphic interface.  I configured for the VPN service roads and they remain in place (one for the QNAS) and one for the OpenVPN server.  I set up a static route (virtual server) for port 3389 go directly to the IP address of the VPN server, but that did nothing.

  Miss me probably something simple, but it launched my ass for weeks now.
