Storage internal

Hey guys!

SO my iPhone told me that my storage would be full... I checked and I had a lot of space occupied by the pictures... so I've literally deleted everything off my iPhone after their record on the computer...

surprise! My storage is always full only 246 mb left... What am I supposed to do? I turned it on, and besides, I connected to iTunes (which tells me I have 2.6 GB left of my storage and him remains, taken over by the documents and files)?

I removed many documents... can't explain the files...

Storage still full! I don't know what else to do!

someone at - it ideas?

See you soon!

First, reset the iPhone.  Press and hold the power and home together for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Then check the settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (in storage).  Make sure that you not less than 10% of the total free storage of the device.

    2. 3.7 GB memory of the user application - for applications that you download on your device

    3. 4.3 GB of system memory - this is for the operating system, System applications and preloaded media

    Hello

    ESXi backup can be performed using the latest version of Veeam Backup. So, that exists now.

    First of all, is it possible with ESXi?  Or do I need to buy an ESX license for two servers and also buy and use VMotion to keep synchronized?

    You could look at VM level replication (Doubletake, etc.). VMDK (vReplicator, Veeam Backup) level replication. Or watch in Xtravirt XVS or HP Lefthand Networks VSA as alternatives.  These last two options will synchronize local storage between multiple hosts. XVS is limited to 2 guests and 1 handles LUN but VSA more. XVS is also free.

  • HP laptop - 14-ac107nl: is it possible to upgrade the processor, ram and storage internal HP laptop - 14-ac107nl?

    The computer is very slow, and I just fill the MEM 28 GB? How can I upgrade RAM and MEM?

    In the model of Celeron, you need memory (2 GB) is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. If you wanted to make a better computer the only real choice is to replace the motherboard. There is the version with an included i5 processor. Storage is a MEMBER, and even with your model theoretically you can remove the MEM module and replace it with a hard SATA or SSD disk, but would require the purchase of new equipment to mount the drive.

    See pages 38 and 39 of the manual here:

    Manual

    Likely upgrades will cost more than a new, best laptop.

  • Addition of storage internal to ESXi host

    Hi all

    I have a Dell server that accepts SATA drives (no RAID configuration).  Currently, I have a 1 TB in this drive and plan on adding a second 1.5 TB drive.  I've never added storage to ESXi and wonder if I should wait no problem.  It is fairly simple to get ESXi to see the new disk and use it as a supplementary data store?

    Thank you

    Additional storage should be detected. Use the vi client and go to the configuration tab select storage and analysis for new storage LUNS. Select the discovered storage. Once added, you should have a new data store.

  • Download file remote address to device (storage internal if possible)

    Hi all

    I tried this for a few hours with different approaches now. Also looking through various forums did get me the result I needed.

    Note: I can't use the built-in browser, it must be as lean as possible

    First a (the desirable and easiest): don't-> not possible-> survey ClassCastException casting 'connection' return of Connector.open () on a "FileConnection.

    FileConnection fc = (FileConnection) Connector.open("http://example.com/files/test.mp4", Connector.READ);

    String remoteFileName = fc.getName();

    String localFilePath = "file:///store/home/user/" + remoteFileName;
    FileConnection fcLocal = (FileConnection) Connector.open(localFilePath, Connector.READ_WRITE);

    if(!fcLocal.exists())
    {
      fcLocal.create();
      DataOutputStream dos = fc.openDataOutputStream();

      DataBuffer db = new DataBuffer();
      db.write(fis);
      dos.write(db.getArray(),0,db.getArrayLength());
      dos.flush();
      dos.close();
    }

    Second :-> works for very small files (~ 2 k), but as soon as they are more 'fc.getLength ()' returns a value about 24 (= bytes). I guess that's not the good function to call here, although fc.getHeaderField (HttpHeaders.HEADER_CONTENT_LENGTH); Returns the same value.

    HttpConnection fc = (HttpConnection) Connector.open("http://example.com/files/test.mp4", Connector.READ);

    /// some stuff here to get the file name out of the url -> remoteFileName

    String localFilePath = "file:///store/home/user/" + remoteFileName;FileConnection fcLocal = (FileConnection) Connector.open(localFilePath, Connector.READ_WRITE);

    if(!fcLocal.exists()){  fcLocal.create();  DataOutputStream dos = fc.openDataOutputStream();

      DataBuffer db = new DataBuffer();  long fileSize = fc.getLength();

      for (long i = 0; i < fileSize; i++)  {    byte temp = dis.readByte();    db.writeByte(temp);  }

      dos.write(db.getArray(),0,db.getArrayLength());  dos.flush();              dos.close();    }

    any suggestions? Maybe I just oversaw some nifty examples that resolves in a few lines.

    Thank you

  • Best practices for storage and backups on internal and external drives

    Hello

    I have a Mac laptop and I would like your advice on how to organize the storage of files on internal and external drives and how optimizes it the backup plan.

    From now on, my organization of file storage is:

    I keep my most important files on the internal disk of SSD encrypted and less critical files on an encrypted external drive (format ExFAT). This external hard drive was errors, so I bought a new Laetitia 2 Tb drive that I formatted in Mac OS journaled with encryption instead of ExFAT, to replace.

    For backups, I do not use Time Machine, but I use an application that synchronizes files between two disks. By using this application, I first sync the essential document on the SSD files internal to the external drive, and then I synchronize all the external drive to another external drive.

    My question is, if I keep this Organization of file storage or I should, for example just move all my files, critical and non-critical for the internal SSD (I could make enough room for that) and then backup up the whole Mac with Time Machine? Or there is a better way to organize files in this scenario?

    The second question is, if it is better to keep the Organization as it split storage (internal, less critical on external criticism) is what would be the best way to back up everything?

    Thanks in advance for all contributions.

    First of all, to the ExFAT is the problem, I suggest that the reader will just physically hurt.  ExFAT is perfectly acceptable as a format where Mac and PC can read/write.  You may have reacted a little leaving ExFAT for HFS, but you have made your choice and adapts to it.

    Here is how I operate my backups:

    I use CCC (CarbonCopyClone, $40, bombich.com).  It copies the boot sectors, drive, mapping, recovery Partition (these three are 'invisible' to DiskUtility for most) as well as system partitions and data records 'other'.  These other disks may be internal for clone-to-test-new-OSX in multi-disc systems or external for backup purposes.  The beauty is that you can start an external clone in a system crash, then CCC will be re - copy the active external clone on a new/fixed internal drive.

    Encryption isn't something I know, but... If only the content of the system partition and data is encrypted, it * could * be OK for clone-back to partition-as-encrypted partitions.  If you clone internal external the external partition is active and copy the 'encrypted plan', while small adjustments are made so that the race could be bad.  Copy of the files on my partitions unencrypted change interrupt because they are individual files.

    As an alternative, you could have a system drive that does CCC charge, let the clone encrypted and encrypted internal idle and just copy the entire map with the 'third system' active.

    Hello!

    There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

    Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

    The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

    Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

    On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

    Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

    In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • iCloud v. portable storage storage

    I'm looking to buy a Mac Book Pro w/Retina display, but do not know how much storage internal that I really need on this subject.  Looking to store photos, music and home and online classes work.

    What is your internet access?  You can store 2 TB of data in iCloud with a monthly subscription, but the local storage is preferable. Long term monthly fee for storage and network downloads from iCloud add up to the price of a drive over internal SSD. local storage will be much faster to access to and you will not be dependent on the internet for access to your documents and data. Also, make a backup of your documents and data on an internal local drive will be easy to make a backup of your data and documents in iCloud.

    iCloud is great, if you want to keep the documents synchronized across multiple devices. I use iCloud for identical libraries of Photos and iTunes Libraries on all my Macs. But I use it only for synchronization and keep all documents and data locally for faster access.

    If you do not need icloud to keep synchronized devices, an internal drive more will be better, IMHO.

  • A1000-F - Miss internal space during the installation/upgrade to update apps

    I just bought this model, it is sufficient for my needs with one exception.

    Internal card is 16 GB and is probably divided at least two partitions for system/apps is granted only 512 MB.

    I installed only a few apps and moved if possible, in the second partition (/ data media), but updating applications from GooglePlay, system tells me, I'm running out of space (have 150 MB of free space on the system partition and 13 GB free on the data partition).

    For example, Chrome browser removes 71 MB internal memory of 512 MB and can not be moved to the storage internal USB (data/media), it is the same for drive Google, Google, Google News, etc.

    Why the system/app is not partition at least 1 GB in size, probably others struck the same problem I have. Did Lenovo know on this issue and planning at this address with an update? If not, is there an easy way to resize or merge partitions?

    Thanks for the advice (remove all my Google Apps would be a solution, but not one I need).
