Store a copy in a BasicEditField

Try to keep a double in a BasicEditField or similar (RichTextField, Etc) but I don't have the option for 'setValue', only setText.

When I try to setText():

It gives the error ' the setText (String) of the method in the BasicEditField type is not applicable for the arguments (Double). "

Ideas?

paymentField.setText(new Double(payment));

Convert double to a string.

paymentField.setText (Double.toString (payment))

    Hi Nellharris,

Yes. The only issue is the amount of space on your hard drive. Assuming that you have available space, you can save the files on your system, video, photos as long as you want.

  • Missing photos, folders in Lightroom 6 after importation. Lightroom stores a copy of the photos that have been imported and if so where?

My nanny/photographer improved his Lightroom to worm. 6. She left the old version 4.4 on as well, so I think she just did a straight installation of v6. It has imported several hundred photos directly from memory cards in Lightroom 6, without copying the files on the computer. She was then abducted and subsequently deleted the pictures from the memory card. These records show now with a question mark in Lightroom, I imagine that it is looking for the files on the memory card. Bright room makes a copy of the files when they are imported or let just a pointer as to where they have been imported from?

She also found with multiple catalogs. CAT 1 is a little bigger, then Cat 3, but the House of light can not open the file and provides the following error message: "Lightroom cannot use the catalog named"Lightroom Catalog"because it is not writable and cannot be opened."

If TI LR retains a copy I was hoping they were perhaps in Cat 1, who was the first that was created.

    Thank you

    Chris

Someone has a misunderstanding about Lightroom and its import process. Importing images into Lightroom does not mean that Lightroom will ingest these images. The import process is one of saying Lightroom where to store the images on the hard drive. Then Lightroom keeps track of these images in this folder location and combines the image settings. If the images were imported in the usual way, they should be located in a folder on the hard disk.

If you say that the images were just imported while remaining on the map (I thought that Lightroom who wouldn't) then if they have not been copied to the hard drive you will have images. Just previews.

  • vSphere - external USB drive to the data store local copy

    Hello world

Yesterday, I created this post: http://communities.VMware.com/message/2135813
With your help, we managed to find the only way to install ESXi to ISO image to USB external hard drive is to be attached to the machine near her and run the Setup from there, cannot be done directly.

Today, we need your help in the next step, as it seems.

We have a Dell r.620 physical machine with VMware ESXi 5.0 installed U1. We have an external hard drive with the operating system installation ISO images, software backup and a little more.

The question is - how to copy the data from the external USB connected directly to the ESXi host to the data store local disk on the host.

Yes, we know that we can do in the way that connect us to the machine on the same location and copy it into the data from there store. But we would do it directly. And we don't very well see by ourselves or using Google Uncle again.

Poor ability to research, or is not possible?

Thank you very much for your help!

The court to do is to use the Datastorebrowser or WinSCP

ESXi itself can only read the Fat16 drives - so what looks like the short path is the long way ;-)

  • Toshiba 1 TB Store 'cannot copy '. "the file or directory could not be created.

I am trying to transfer a little less 5 GB 36 996 zip data files on a network drive on my brand new Toshiba 1 TB drive. I created a directory "E:\TOSHIBA\2008-Dec" in the root but only 16386 files copied. If I try to copy files over I get windows error message "Failed to copy" "file or directory could not be created.

Obviously the disk space should not be a problem. Any ideas? Thank you.

What happens if you try to copy another file on the HARD disk that is larger than 5 GB?

What file system you are using on the external HARD drive? Maybe you should try to reformat to NTFS.

In addition, you should try another cable.

  • Copy VM in the data store. 2GB becomes 30 GB!

    Hi all

ESXi 4, using the vSphere client. I browse the data store, then copy a VM folder into another folder in the same data store. It takes almost 1 hour.

When I take a glance in the destination folder, the file becomes 30 GB!, the original 2 GB file.

What is going on? Now I wonder, it takes so long to copy.

On reflection, it's as if, Thin Provisioning disappears when you are copying. 30 GB is the size of the VM disk.

What is the best way to create a 'clean' of the virtual machine copy, can I just copy paste the folder?

    Thanks in advance.

Copy operation to create discs always thick.

If you want to copy on a thin disk, you must use the vmkfstools command:

  • Pages - always keep a copy on iCloud drive

Pages: Is it possible, or can be made possible in future updates, always store a copy of a Pages document on iCloud drive.  Most often, I want to save a document in its corresponding project on my computer, so he faints from iCloud, but I would like to have a copy stored in iCloud also.  Can there be a checkbox on the Save panel or preferences that says keep about iCloud copy... Whether or not the copy in my project folder synchronize is not important because the iCloud copy can be considered the "living" document but this default copy would be really handy.

    Hedge trimmer

Very good suggestion. You can also create a duplicate for each document and save the double real on iCloud drive. Another way is to have the real project records on the iCloud drive with documents in there like normal and just have an alias on the desktop, etc. for easy access.

    Hi cooper06,

When you copy a file or folder, you make a copy of the original item that you can then modify, delete, or store independently of the original.

    1. Open the location that contains the file or folder you want to copy.
    2. Right-click the file or folder that you want to copy and then click copy.
    3. Open the location where you want to store the copy.
    4. Right-click in the box, and then click Paste.

The copy of the file or the original file will appear in the new location.

You must paste the file in the destination folder to create a copy of it.

  • Copy of the device. I want to get the pistures of him out of it to share with friends... and fam is there a way I can do this?

I got a slideshow of my preschool son and I want to get the pistures of him out of it to share with friends... and fam is there a way I can do this?

You can use copy and paste.  Help Windows 7 & support:

    Copy and paste a file

When you copy and paste a file, you make a copy of the original file that you can then modify independently of the original file. If you copy and paste a file to a different location on your computer, it's a good idea to give it a different name, so that you'll remember which file is new and which file is the original.

To copy and paste a file:

    1. Open the location that contains the file you want to copy.

    2. Right click on the file and then click on copy.

    3. Open the location where you want to store the copy.

    4. Right-click on an empty space within the location and then click on paste. The copy of the original file is now stored in the new location.

For more information about copying multiple files, see select multiple files or folders.

    Tips

    • Another way to copy and paste files is to use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + C (copy) and Ctrl + V (paste).

    • You can also press on and hold the right mouse button and drag the file to the new location. When you release the mouse button, click on copy here.

    • You can copy and paste a folder in the same way as you would a file. When you do this, all the files in the folder are also copied.

    Good luck.

  • How to copy a document from USB to the computer?

I am trying to copy/move an excel document, of a drive from my computer, but when I remove the USB port, I'm unable to access the document.

Are you sure you're not creating a shortcut instead of the actual file? Have you used drag the right-click action?

To copy and paste a file

    1. Open the location that contains the file you want to copy.

    2. Right click on the file and then click on copy.

    3. Open the location where you want to store the copy.

    4. Right-click on an empty space within the location and then click on paste. The copy of the original file is now stored in the new location.

    • You can copy and paste a folder in the same way as you would a file. When you do this, all the files in the folder are also copied.

You can also try opening the worksheet, then click on file (office button), save as and save it in your Documents folder.

  • Get-view FileManager = vCenter only? How to interact with the data without her store?

    Hello

I am trying to create a folder directly on a data store and copy a vmx file.  What I've read I need to use Get-file manager mode, but this seems to be only available on vCenter.

Is there anyway to interact with the data using PowerCLI store when it connects directly to a box of ESX?

    Thanks for your help,

    KeV

    The shortcut notation

    Get-View FileManager

is not available when connected to an ESX host.

But you can get the object as follows

    Get-View (Get-View ServiceInstance).Content.FileManager

  • Add a data from the migration store

I am using esxi 3.5 and will soon add a NAS device: http://www.backupworks.com/Iomega-ix4-200R-34540.aspx

I would like to move the data store to copy my server esxi to this device so that I can share data on a nas device with a second esxi server that I'm raising soon.

Is there a way to transfer the data from my internal store of data to the NAS device?

You can enable ssh on the ESXi host since the Console is not supported .

edit /etc/inetd.conf and uncomment the line ssh.

    PS | grep inetd

kill - HUP the inetd PID

You should now have ssh access. You can schedule the script from a crontab or?

I have been using ssh access keys, but just found an article of http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010287 of vmware.
