store internal variables in the nodes mathscript/scilab

Is it possible to store the values of local variables in mathscript node? Maybe have an initialization section where variables are implemented and then later updated. And then something to reset the closure of the vi? Im guessing not, im guessing that we must do the same as labview, pass new releases at the entrances, but it is much more natural in a text based language to do it this way (for me anyway).

Gordal salvation,

You can use the backup and loading of orders to store variables for your scripts in a file.  Note that these commands will a warning glyph occur which reduces performance, so what I propose is the following:

  • Variables in the function MathScript ode solver

    Hello

    I'm using LabView for awhile and I started using the text tools more. To solve a system of differential equations, there is this very elegant tool to do this in a MathScript node with the ode solve algorithms (for example, "ode_adams"). As the LabView help said, I've defined a function and registered as a ".m" file. I loaded this function in mathscript and solve differential equations.

    Both and so good, but my problem is that I can not all variables in the function. I can only put numbers in the function but not variables. Unfortunately I need to define the variables outside the function in the MathScript node.

    Does anyone have an idea how to manage the variables in this case?

    I have attatched a picture of the function and test VI (LV2014).

  • [JS] [CS5] Store a variable in the label of the document

    Hello.

    I need to store the ID of an element in the label of the document.

    I tried:

    myLabelString = new String (myDoc.allPageItems [n] user.user)

    myDoc.label = myLabelString;

    But I got the error

    Result: Error: invalid value for set property "label". String expected, but received given function.

    I can add the ID of:

    myDoc.label = "713";

    but I need it to be a variable.

    I've seen a few posts by using the function "insertLabel", passing the key and value.  What is the 'key' in the present?

  • Change the working directory of the MathScript node in the working directory of the VI in which the node is added

    Hello

    I want to automatically change the working directory of the node Mathscript in a VI in the working directory of the VI, while I don't have to specify every time where is my file ".m", as most likely, it will be in the same folder as the VI.

  • How to share a variable between the Mathscript Windows and a Mathscript node

    Hello

    I'm trying to share (just) a variable between the Mathscript Windows and a Mathscript node. I don't know why, but the use of the "global" Matlab function makes the mathscript node output formats change.

    I'm looking for a "Mathscript RT V9.0.1 module" as it may seem, there is. French technical support have some difficulty to find...

    Hi patrick33,.

    The code that you have attached should not report an error, so it seems that something has gone wrong with your installation of MathScript. My best guess is that it is the problem that is described in this knowledge base article. Your signature says that you use f3 patch, which is a good start. But the KB lists some other steps to take when you see errors about MathScript, impossible to compile. Can you try the procedure described in the article and let us know if that fixes the problem?

    Thank you

  • How to change the value of string clustered, to implement using the node value of property instead of writing directly on the flow of data or using the variable

    new to labview :-) and I have a problem when I want to change the value of a string in bunches, and I want to implement this using the node value of property instead of writing directly to the stream or by using the variable, enclosed is the picture.   No matter, I have change in cluster (control) or value of Popery out (indicator) cluster, the value (sensor 7) dataflow keeps unchanged even I gave the new value by value of property node. Thank you to give me some advice about this.

    Hi GerdW

    Thanks a lot for your answer. The reason I'm stubbornly tring to break the flow of DATA is: we have a test system that have about 100 screws, they have a few connected flow, some of them will be unbundling a cluster dataflow chain to check the value in order to make the different cases.  Now I want to insert user event by changing the control and influential cases during run time.

    As I initially uses a global variable (to control cases) instead of unbundle string data flow, it works well.  But then, I found there are a lot of screws that are using the string unbundle.  One of the 'lazy' means, I tried is to change the value via the property node (because that way, I did not need to find all the places where using the unbundle string and replace them with the global variable), then I noticed a problem with "dataflow", the value in the stream of cluster in fact will not be changed by changing the value of the property node.

    I did a test with VI simple (like the picture in last post), and after reading your advice, I tell myself that I need to understand the concept of "DATAFLOW" in labview, it seems that my "lazy" way can not work in this scenario.

    I have attached the criterion VI here, have you furthur suggestions on what I can do in this case?

    Mant thanks!

  • Store the data in the internal memory of the device

    Hi all

    I need to check my database file in the internal memory of the device because if I save in sdcard chances are there... then delete, how to save db file to internal memory by programming... Please give any suggestions

    Thanku

    Internal "SD card is referenced using store instead of the SD card, but be aware that space is limited, and in fact, this area does not exist on some devices.  You cannot use SQLite data directly from persistent memory, but I guess that you can copy the SQLite database to and from this store, maybe when you open the program and back when you close it.  I would not recommend this if you have a database is larger than 256 KB.

    I suggest that users remove the SD card are just something you will have to program autour.

  • How to store that value in the variable date?

    Hi Sir,

    I have a request that is

    Select to_char (date ' 1900 - 01 - 01 + 1439 /(24*60), ' DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:ss') twice;

    When I run this query, I get this value: 01/01/1900 23:59
    and this value, I'm inserting in a variable that has the date data type.
    Here I put like this:

    v_nshiftmax: = to_char (date ' 1900 - 01 - 01 + 1439 /(24*60), "DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS");

    While storing get error: not one month valid

    How to store this variable?

    Thank you

    If you are holdiing to variable date why you switch to to_char?

    Just use to_date('1900-01-01','yyyy-mm-dd') + /(24*60) 1439

    Hello

    I install ADEP 10 newly.

    This problem has been resolved.

    I deleted folder 'lucene index' at the bottom of the location, the problem solved.

    C:\Adobe\ADEP\Document Services 10.0\lccs_data\

    I think that http://lucasmanual.com/pdf/Alfresco.pdf is helpful.

    Thank you

  • reading viewScope variable in the method of the ViewImpl class

    Hello

    Suppose I want to get viewScope.deptno in my function that is declared in the class ViewImpl

    ' Public Sub proc (String deptno, String amount) {}
    setp_deptno (deptno == null? ('%': deptno);
    this.setNamedWhereClauseParam ("p_deptno", deptno);
    this.executeQuery ();
    System.out.println("viewScope.DEPTNO="...?);
    }

    How to get to it in my service?
    do you mean placing the logics from VOImpl to client interface class?

    Yes, then you can see the method exposed in the control of data under the node ViewObject. Then, you can run the method in your method of beans as below

        public String executeMyVOMethod {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("proc");
            operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("deptno", PassAnyDeptNo);//you can get it from view scop variable
            operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("amount", passAnyAmmountvalue); //you can get it from view scop variable
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            }
            return null;
        }

    could you clarify why this is a bad practice to store the logic in VOImpl?
    is it because I can't refer to ViewScope of there?

    access a range of memory variable in your model layer (if its there) is a bad practice, because you're breaking MVC model. This is not the best approach, even if you can do it.

  • Improved speed for the LabVIEW MathScript calculation

    I use a MathScript node to perform calculations on a sbRIO FPGA module and the speed of these calculations is critical.  What are some ways to improve the speed of calculations and y at - it a faster way to make calculations of MathScript matrix?  If I belong the MathScript in a Subvi it will improve the speed of calculations?

    Thanks for any ideas

    Please look at the VI attached. She is your original code ".m", my changes to your ".m" and G code equivalent to the updated code ".m". First, let me describe the numbers that I've seen on a cRIO 9012 for each of the three approaches.

    I ran to each of the three approaches for the hundreds of iterations, ignored the first 30 iterations to allow allocations of memory (which caused a huge spike in runtime performance about the RT), then took the average operation time for each iteration of the loop for the remaining iterations

    Original M: 485 msec/iteration

    Updated M: 276 MS/iteration

    G: ms 166/iteration

    The changes I made to your code ".m" are:

    (1) added; at the end of each line to remove output (used for debugging)

    (2) left random code generation - used whitenoise (seems like that is what you did)

    (3) turn on the type of data highlighting the function. Noticed that the majority of data was cast in the complex, although that did not seem like you need the complex domain. The source has been function sqrt. Changed using real (sqrt (...))

    This improvement in performance by more than 40%. I believe that more can be pressed if you follow the documentation - MathScript wrote for real-time Applications.

    Then I took the MathScript you and equivalent written G leaving the algorithm as it is. This gave us the improvement of the performance of another 40 per cent in the G. updated the it is a known issue that on slow controllers, MathScript adds a penalty of 2 x to g equivalent. We are investigating this issue and may be able to fix it in a future release.

    If you are profiling the G code, you will notice that most of the time we spend in the multiplication of matrices. Unless rethink you your algorithm, I doubt that this can further improve.

    Let me know if you have any questions

    Kind regards

  • problem to open and cancel a Subvi by invoking the node

    Hello

    I have a Subvi, which is runing in a while loop and it's calculation that finished in a variable time. So I decided to add the abort function to invoke the node. This works perfectly when the Subvi is running by its own but gives an error.

    1000 error to reference open VI
    Possible reasons: LabVIEW: The VI isn't in a State compatible with this operation.

    I found that there is a solution for this in the following link.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/790AC75B07D971ED86256C53007BDCE9

    So I added the Vi run invoke node in the main vi and abort VI invoke node in the Subvi

    as in the following excerpt, but I still get the same error. Think you I'm missing?

    Eureka. I found it.

    It was very simple.

    I just add the stop simulation in the simulation loop if time exceeds certain limits.

    Anyway, thank you guys for helping me.

    See you soon,.

  • How can read/write on a file and stored in the internal memory of the device, 10 BlackBerry?

    I want to store a string value of my request. After that, I remove my device app & reinstall my app. I want to get the previous value stored in recently installed application.

    I think that if I can write the value to a file that is located in the internal memory of the device. After that, I read the value of this file in any time. I am new to the cascade of Blackberry, so I don't know how to write / read a file.

    Please help me...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all

    I solved my problem. I'm using the code below:

    QString call: readFromFile()
    {
    QFile textfile("shared/documents/Test.txt");
    QString str ="";
    If (textfile.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly |) QIODevice::Text))
    {
    QTextStream in(&textfile);

    Str = in.readAll ();
    }
    else {}
    QTextStream out (stdout);
    off<>
    }

    TextFile.Close ();

    return str;
    }

    Thank you all for the valuable suggestion...

  • Read the nodes that have the same value as the subnodes - XML

    It is more of a general JAVA / XML problem, but given that it is going into my BlackBerry app I thought I'd see if anyone knows.

    Consider a simple XML document:

                        Whatever 1                   Whatever 2               Whatever 3

    Using the standard org.w3c.dom, I can get the nodes in X by the practice...

    NodeList fullnodelist = doc.getElementsByTagName ("x");

    But if I want to go to the next set of 'e', I try to use something like...

    Element element = (Element) fullnodelist.item(0);NodeList nodes = pelement.getElementsByTagName("e");

    EXPECTED back '3' nodes (because there are 3 series of 'e'), but it returns '9' - because it gets all entries including the 'e' apperently.

    It would be nice in the above case, because I could probably go through and find what I'm looking for. The problem I have is that when the XML file looks like the following:

                whatever Something Else whatever Something Else

    When I ask 'e' value, it returns 4, instead of (what I want) 2.

    I am simply not understand how DOM parsing works? Generally, in the past I used my own XML documents so I name never articles like this, but unfortunately this isn't my XML file and I don't have the choice to work like this.

    What I thought I would do, it is write a loop knots "drills down" so that I can combine each node...

      public static NodeList getNodeList(Element pelement, String find)
        {
            String[] nodesfind = Utilities.Split(find, "/");
            NodeList nodeList = null;

            for (int i = 0 ; i <= nodesfind.length - 1; i++ )
            {
                nodeList = pelement.getElementsByTagName( nodesfind[i] );
                pelement = (Element)nodeList.item(i);
            }

            // value of the nod we are looking for
            return nodeList;
        }

    .. While if adopted you ' s/e' in the service, he would return the 2 nodes I'm looking (or elements, perhaps I'm using the wrong terminology?). on the contrary, it returns all the 'e' nodes in this node.

    Anyway, if anyone is still with me and has a suggestion, it would be appreciated.

    Well, there is no doubt that there is a learning curve robust for XML programming. You can take an hour or two and go through one of the tutorials that are circulating on the net. (Like that of w3schools.com.)

    Basically, almost everything in XML is a node, the Document that returns the parser. The API for node tells you that you can test the node type you have by calling getNodeType, which returns one of the constants of type node (Node.ELEMENT_NODE, Node.TEXT_NODE, etc..) If necessary, you can then convert the variable to the corresponding interface (element, text, etc.).

    Similarly, the API documentation say you for any node, calling getChildNodes (or for an element node or Document getElementsByTagName) will give you a NodeList (a little non-types of nodes in the XML API), while calling getFirstChild and getNextSibling to any node will give you another node (or null ).

    Once you learn the API, writing logic of course is not all that hard. For example, if the only 'e' interest tags are those directly under the element root of the document (as shown in your example) you can simply go to them directly:

    Vector getTopENodes(Document doc) {  Vector vec = new Vector();  NodeList nodes = doc.getDocumentElement().getChildNodes();  int n = nodes.getLength();  for (int i = 0; i < n; ++i) {    Node node = nodes.item(i);    if (node.getNodeType() == Node.ELEMENT_NODE &&        "e".equals(node.getNodeName()))    {      vec.addElement(node);    }  }  return vec;}

    Note that this example does not assume that all children are nodes of element 'e '. the document could have comments, white space or something else that makes it into the DOM as comment, text or any other type of node.

    On the other hand, if you want to capture every "e" tag which is directly under the ' tag, no matter the level, then you need to do something a little more complicated (it's on the top of my head - no guarantee):

    static class NodeListImp implements NodeList {  private Vector nodes = new Vector();  public int getLength() {    return nodes.size();  }  public Node item(int index) {    return (Node) nodes.elementAt(index);  }  public add(Node node) {    nodes.addElement(node);  }}

    NodeList getTargetNodes(Document doc) {  NodeListImp list = new NodeListImp();  getTargetnodes(list, doc.getDocumentElement(), false);  return list;}

    void getTargetNodes(NodeListImp list, Node node, boolean parentIsS) {  if (node.getNodeType() == Node.ELEMENT_NODE) {    // node name is tag name for element nodes    String name = node.getNodeName();    if (parentIsS && "e".equals(name)) {      list.add(node);    }    parentIsS = "s".equals(name);    for (Node child = node.getFirstChild();         child != null;         child = child.getNextSibling())    {      getTargetNodes(list, child, parentIsS);    }  }}

    I hope that it gets the idea across.

  • Help with some internal specs on the STORM. May require a person who works at the RIM.

    BB STORM, JDE 4.7.0

    I was usually the champion of the size of the memory, and I thought I got it down pat, but it turns out that I see different values in some disassembly of the hardware of the storm.

    Can someone help me to y and the degradation of persistent memory Vs file in the permanent internal flash storage area.

    OK, here's what I thought, it was internal so far.

    1 internal 128 MB of RAM for running the show, allocation of memory, etc, etc...

    2. 1 g internal Samsung OneNAND flash memory. It is divided into 128M of space of the App and 872 M of storage space.

    The storage space is divided into persistent storage and the rest is an internal file system.

    3. Finally, there is 8GBits of the space of the SD card.

    OK, here's my new questions on memory.

    In 2 above, is the 1 G bytes or Bits. I used to think bytes, but teardowns latest I read all say Bits. If so, it means that we have memory app 16MBytes! So the question is byte or bit?

    The next question is the 872M (bits or bytes)... How is burglarized persistent store file Vs space. Is it preallocated or no change of line based on what he gets used? If it is fixed, can the line be forced to the persistent store. Can it be forced into space from the SD card?

    Finally, is again the SD card in bytes or Bits? I suspect the pieces, but I don't know about you. I don't know what MoviNAND.

    Note that if you are new to this, please don't answer, I'm not new, and I went through all the usual web sites. I just want to hear from those who know with certainty because they actually measured it with a code or they talked to someone on the EDGE. I heard all the 'I think there' and they do me good. I actually send you this email to myself and several other people. Many of us need answers to these questions.

    Thank you

    -Donald

    The BlackBerry Storm has the following:

    • 128 MB of RAM
    • 128 MB of Flash memory for installation of the application (file COD) and store persistent store.
    • 1 GB internal memory for storing files (FileConnection & USB stick as support).
    • Support for micro SD card up to 32 GB * of size for the storage of additional files (FileConnection & USB stick as support).

    All values are in bytes, not horseshoes.  It is not possible to install applications on memory storage of files, nor is it possible to store persistent objects in the file storage space.
