Strange about certificate security alert

Windows XP SP3
108 GB of disk space
1 1 Gb memory available

I was recently doing an alert of safety every time I start or restart my computer, usually a few seconds Windows finish opening, which said:

"This page requires a secure connection which includes server authentication."

"The issuer of certificate for this site is untrusted or unknown. Do you want to continue? »

No Yes No certificate to display more information
______________________________________________

While there is no icon or other identification badges in the alert box, on the taskbar, it is a Java icon.

If I choose 'Yes' or ' "the box disappears and I can continue using my computer in any way that I had planned, but the box will often reappear randomly.

When I choose 'View certificate' he told me that the security authority is GeoTrust SSL CA, which lists the Firefox as being checked for the SSL certification authority. In IE8, I only find GeoTrust Primary Certification Authority, with ' the server authentication and Client, Code Signing secure e-mail authentication "listed as a certificate to be used.

I'm guessing that Java update attempts to open a page, but there's something blocking. The "Show certificate" box includes the option to install the certificate. that I should? Otherwise, what is the next step? (Java update has been a pain a few other times since Oracle resumed.)

I ran Malwarebytes and TDSSKiller since this began and the two came without stain.

The error that the certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted authority indicates just that. You listed in the path up to the certified authority.  Generally, the problem is that the 'approved authority' is usually one of the certificates root that is installed on your computer.  When versions of Windows newer than XP to deal with this problem, they just go out and update the necessary certificate.  Windows XP has its root certificates update problems, so after a time a company will buy another and re - issue the new certificate is not in your trusted list.  So what you need to do is to go out and download a new list of certificate root from Microsoft and install it on your machine.

KB931125 (above) points to the package was last updated.  Currently, the package is located here:

Windows requires a validation of this download, so if your machine will not validate, find a machine that will be; go to this link, you can validate with this machine and download the update package, and then transfer it to your machine and double-click to install it.

If you don't update your root certificates, you can just run into similar problems downstream and more often as time goes by.

  • Pavilion p6724y: security alert

I can't download anything to the Internet or email attachments. I get an error message: Security alert - your current make security settings do not allow this file to be aircrcrack.

I have Norton 360 installed and nothing works for downloads, even if Norton is turned off.

Any suggestions how this can be corrected. This condition happened just after I had a problem of major slowdown with the processor clocked at 100% at all times, and then began to work normally except fot the download problem.

Download works now! Your first proposal does not solve my problem, but it made me start thinking about where you directed me. Further examination showed that, under the heading of downloads, download the file has been disabled. I have reset to allow and the problem was gone. Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated!

  • Updated for Firefox 36.0 now get Windows Security Alert

    Hello

    Updated for firefox 36.0 24/02/15
Now to get a Windows security alert
Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program.
    Name: Firefox
    Publisher: Mozilla Corporation
    Path: C:\program files (x 86) \mozilla firefox\firefox.exe
Private networks is enabled and grayed out.
Public networks box is not checked and ask to allow access.

When I look at the programs allowed through firewall it shows Firefox 2 programs.
    Firefox---(la case est décochée)
    Firefox C:\program files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox)---(case cochée)

    Also on 24/02/15
There are updates Windows 7 and an update of definition of MSE.

When I started the computer 25/02/15 the Windows security alert appeared.

I have not allowed access to Windows Security Alert window.

Why this security alert Windows has been published?

The Windows security alert is the only issue.
Firefox works normally. He never does not.
I have internet access on my private network.

    I use Classic theme restaurateur.
What's interesting after clicking on menu + customize, I moved the icon Hello in the box additional tools and features.

    When updating to 36.0 FF
    Hello icon brought itself automatically.

I just clicked Cancel on the dialog box and the Windows security alert went away.
Everything that Firefox still seems to work fine.

If she comes back, I will inform this thread.
