  • Updated for Firefox 36.0 now get Windows Security Alert

    Hello

    Updated for firefox 36.0 24/02/15
Now to get a Windows security alert
Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program.
    Name: Firefox
    Publisher: Mozilla Corporation
    Path: C:\program files (x 86) \mozilla firefox\firefox.exe
Private networks is enabled and grayed out.
Public networks box is not checked and ask to allow access.

When I look at the programs allowed through firewall it shows Firefox 2 programs.
    Firefox---(la case est décochée)
    Firefox C:\program files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox)---(case cochée)

    Also on 24/02/15
There are updates Windows 7 and an update of definition of MSE.

When I started the computer 25/02/15 the Windows security alert appeared.

I have not allowed access to Windows Security Alert window.

Why this security alert Windows has been published?

The Windows security alert is the only issue.
Firefox works normally. He never does not.
I have internet access on my private network.

    I use Classic theme restaurateur.
What's interesting after clicking on menu + customize, I moved the icon Hello in the box additional tools and features.

    When updating to 36.0 FF
    Hello icon brought itself automatically.

I just clicked Cancel on the dialog box and the Windows security alert went away.
Everything that Firefox still seems to work fine.

If she comes back, I will inform this thread.

    Thanks,

  • How to configure immediate notifications for security alerts?

It is in the Application settings - Notifications - alerts company related products?  I want to just make sure (1) it works 'immediately' and (2) alerts for products contain security alerts.

    Thank you!!

    Deanna,

The warning produced is not immediate. NMP has a scan scheduled daily from new alerts that could harm you, and the corresponding reports are updated automatically, but you do not get an immediate notification.

  • WebLogic vulnerability: CVE-2010-0073

    Hello guys,.
    Oracle announced a vulnerability CVE-2010-0073.
    Link:
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/alerts/alert-CVE-2010-0073.html

I'm not using nodemanager, do I still have to apply this hotfix. In addition, don't know if I need to apply the patch to 10 mp1?

    any suggestions?

I always recommend to contact support if you have any questions about the vulnerability or the patch.

I read this earlier and there seems to be a vulnerability specifically with Node Manager. So if you use it, which means that a Node Manager process runs, it seems to me that you may be ok. Windows install will ask to install Node Manager as a Service during installation, even if you're not thinking that you use, check again. Don't trust me, I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night. Finally, check with the Support of Oracle.

  • How to remove the Exploit: Win32 / CVE-2010-3336

    Original title: Exploit: Win32 / CVE-2010-3336

Does anyone know how to remove the Exploit: Win32 / CVE-2010-3336?

    Hi Bob,

This may be due to malicious software or viruses on the computer.

You have security software installed on the computer?

If you have installed security software, I suggest you run a security scan and check if it helps to remove malicious software.

In addition, you can also run Microsoft safety scanner to search for infected files.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

See the link to download and run the Analyzer:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Please let us know if the problem still persists. We will be happy to help you.

  • Windows Vista security alert sending indicating virus attack and does not allow me to get security alerts. How to bypass or disable?

Windows Vista security alert sending indicating virus attack and does not allow me to get security alerts.  How to bypass or disable?  I have another anti-spyware (Kapersky) program that manages all aspects and indicates no virus found.

I want to disable Vista, but it won't let me and the only solution it says is to download a update for a cost.  Help, please.

The 'alert' is not from Vista. Your computer is infected by a rogue security program. It's called "thugs" because he pretended to be a good guy but is really bad. Don't pay them!

Malwarebytes' Anti-malware (MBAM) or SuperAntiSpyware will often do the job. Both have free versions and you don't need to buy these programs.

These can work for you, and all can be good. However, in many cases the computer will also infected with other horses of Trojan and protected by a rootkit. These machines are extremely difficult to clean. If your machine is one of these cases, either the interactive assistance to one of the specialty forums listed in the link below, OR take your machine to a professional on the local computer OR backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. It's your choice. I do not recommend using BigComputerStore/GeekSquad types of places.

  • Vista - true or false security alert?

All of a sudden I'm getting pop ups saying Vista Security Alert, etc... I have both the shield of the normal color of four in the bin AND red with an X on it. If I go to the control panel-Security Center, etc...

When I click on "change the way Security Center alerts me." I get another window, but all options are ghosts. It also says 'Vista Security - unregistered Version'. The only way apparently to get rid of it is to buy the Vista security. I've had this computer for nine months, and this is the first problem like this.

    Any advice? Thanks in advance.

  • Since I installed Firefox, I get CONSTANT security alerts 'expired certificate' when I go to most any website, even those I visit regularly. Help!

Please see my original question above. Since I switched from IE to Firefox, I can't even to view Aetna medical claims. Even YOUR help site, had a notice of upcoming certificate expired and I had to click through the tabs 'override' to continue. I get "Security alert" for security certificate expired on almost every single website, that I will. I just keep clicking on 'Yes' when asked do you want to continue. It's horrible. I tried to use a page I found that told me to go to tools, then Options, then Web features to 'Allow sites', but it doesn't have the choice to click on «web feature»

Just to be sure, check your calendar system date as it could be not current and some previous year or such.

  • Pavilion p6724y: security alert

I can't download anything to the Internet or email attachments. I get an error message: Security alert - your current make security settings do not allow this file to be aircrcrack.

I have Norton 360 installed and nothing works for downloads, even if Norton is turned off.

Any suggestions how this can be corrected. This condition happened just after I had a problem of major slowdown with the processor clocked at 100% at all times, and then began to work normally except fot the download problem.

Download works now! Your first proposal does not solve my problem, but it made me start thinking about where you directed me. Further examination showed that, under the heading of downloads, download the file has been disabled. I have reset to allow and the problem was gone. Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated!

I'm guessing that you're referring to a problem involving the Security Center that happens sometimes after update silent through updates of Windows to the new version of MSE... but it is also sometimes occurring after the updates of Windows 'monthly '.  Usually, but not always the problem occurs on computers running XP.

If the MSE icon is green then you should be protected and cannot ignore this Security Center warning. The problem resolves after a few days.   I do not pretend you disable the protection in real time on MSE, disable Security Center, restart the computer and then turn everything back on and restart once more... some users report this sequence fixed the problem.
